Mona found Fischl in the hallway and asked her if she wanted to come to the canteen with them. She agreed since her friends were going to go to the library.
Kuni pushes the canteen’s double doors open and holds its for Fischl and Mona. Kuni looks around and sees Ajax and his friends + Itto sitting at a table, all of them arguing about something.
“Hey guys” Kuni announced, Mona and Fischl waving at the boys at the table.
They all looked up at the trio and greeted them. Kuni went up to Ajax and kissed him quickly then hugged him.
“HEY LADIES!” Itto calls out, smirking at the 2 girls. Mona cringes jokingly and Fischl rolls her eyes and links arms with Mona.
“Bye losers!” She says as they stroll off to find something to eat.
“What a way to shoot your shot, Itto.” Zhongli remarked sarcastically, placing a hand on his shoulder.
“You guys think I’ll ever get a girlfriend?” he asked, his tone a little bummed.
“Someday maybe…” Diluc replied.
The canteen doors squeaked open and a boy with brown, fluffy ears and a long tail walked in with a girl with pink and blue hair.
Itto’s eyes widened and blush grew on his face. He wasn’t staring at the girl, he was staring at the boy. Kuni noticed what had happened and smiled to himself. Itto had fallen for Gorou, a nice, simplistic boy who did the same english major as Kuni. Cute choice.
“-And then maybe you’ll get a chance..” Diluc was talking to Itto but he wasn’t paying attention.
“Itto?!” Diluc snapped. “Are you listening?
“Huh- wha?” Itto blurted out, looking back at Diluc.
“Ugh never mind.” Diluc sighed, waving his hand dismissively.
Zhongli was reading a book and wasn’t at all interested in the conversation. Kuni turned to Ajax.
“Lets get something to eat babe.” He said, tugging on Ajax’s sleeve. “We’ll be late to our next lecture!”
Ajax quickly clicked off messages and looked up at Kuni.
“What babe? I didn’t hear you.”
Kuni made a confused expression.
Who could he be messaging? And why was he hiding it??
He shook the thought out of his mind as Ajax stood up and Kuni followed him.

Back at Ajax’s house, Ajax was spread out on the bed, his upper back pressed against the headboard, scrolling on his phone, while Kuni was there laying on his stomach, zoned out, deep in thought about what happened in the canteen.
Is he seeing someone?
He wouldn’t cheat on me, right?
Right?
He looked up at Ajax. Ajax felt his stare.
“Hm?” Ajax hummed. “What’s up??”
Kuni looked back down, staring at the wall. He inhaled deeply.
“Would you leave me for someone else?”
Silence filled the room.
Crap. I shouldn’t have said that.
“…Why’d you ask?” Ajax finally responded.
Silence again.
“No reason…” Kuni murmured
Yep. Ajax was cheating. But Kuni doesn’t have enough evidence. Yet.
