Chapter Text
Licorice didnt think he would tell a SOUL about the thing he was the most embarrassed about--well, except for Bat-Cat. But here he was, half drunk in a bar in a city he wasn't supposed to be in. The storm only grew heavier, and the other three huddled at a table on the other side. Vampire, however, stuck with Licorice (unfortunately).
"Nothing's wrong with you, I mean. . ." He said in a whisper voice. Licorice stopped for a second, warm tears still trickled down his cheeks. It shouldntv have hurt that much, but it did. It felt like a lie. Maybe Vampire was only saying that out of guilt because he felt bad for the guy.
Vampire reached over the booth, extending an arm. He pushed back a few of Licorice's locs, only for them to fall back in his face again. They both let out a sad chuckle.
Licorice took deep breaths to calm his breathing. Licorice looked at Vampire with tired, puffy eyes and then out the window.
"You like rain?" Vampire noticed.
"Storms. I love storms. Heavy ones with thunder." He said bluntly, trying to hide a growing smile. There was no use in trying to put up a mysterious image again after you just cried your heart out in front of a random guy.
Vampire got up suddenly, and opened the bar door and a gust of rainy wind flooded the heat out of the bar. Sparkling looked like he was going to break down. Vampire waved a gesture to come. Licorice did.
Licorice put his hood on again, completely covering his face.
