Chapter Text
The sound of the hostile city street brings Shen Yuan back from daydreaming. ‘Ugh stop it you morons, you should at least ask how they are instead of being a creep and staring at their faces’ Shen Yuan frowns as he clumsily gets up from the ground.
“Ah. Hey there- I am so sorry. Are you okay there? I didn't watch the road carefully haha, guess it is a bad day.” As he rambles on and on, the mysterious man still keeps his eyes shut, not even reacting to his words.
‘Did I kill him? Oh shit, I did not right? I'm pretty sure I am not that heavy.’ Confusingly, Shen Yuan shakes the man left and right;” Hey? Hey dude you're fine right? Heyyyyy…Hello there? Can you hear me bro?” Shaking a person when they are unconscious is not the wisest decision in a time like this, but Shen Yuan is too panicked in fear with the image of himself in jail to even notice anyway.
At a slight moment, Shen Yuan was about to consider dumping the man's body, was about to. His morale spoke up in the end, as Shen Yuan along with his last brain cell dragged the man all the way home. It’s not that he wants to torture the poor unconscious man, instead, he did try carrying him which result in the man almost dying for real. So in an attempt to not make his good wills end up on national television for first-degree murder, Shen Yuan has no choice but to drag the man like a sack of potatoes back home.
Coming home fainting, Shen Yuan never in his life rethinks about his life decision. He has his fair share of bright and dumb moments, this time however is exceptional. Barely reaching the stairs, Shen Yuan gave up and just lay on the ground instead. ‘Great, now I have to mop the goddamn floor again. Wow, what a good life I have.’ He wants to sleep right there and then but after considering the pros and cons of being sick and taking care of another sick individual in the house, Shen Yuan gets up. It’s his fault in the first place for bumping into the man after all.
The man was an open quiz for Shen Yuan though. Like who even is this guy? Why did he even lay there in the middle of the rain too? Another thing is his costume, being the web-novel nerd he is, Shen Yuan recognizes the costume instantly. Because that costume belongs to none other than the main character costume himself: Luo Binghe. ‘A cosplayer? Maybe he is having a break up? I mean I see many youngsters these days so work up over those things so.’
Shen Yuan stops thinking about it as he thinks about how to deal with the man once he wakes up. ’Ugh, how do I deal with this again… Maybe Google would help? But again if he is a famous cosplayer I would be dead for sure… Man, why is today so unlucky…’
Debating whenever should he test his limit on how humans could ruin a dish or spend a little more money to order online, Shen Yuan quickly sides with advanced technology. Mostly because he can only cook instant noodles and at this point, Shen Yuan is too tired to even lift his hand.
As he looks through the sale and voucher on his phone, Shen Yuan can’t help but take a little peek at the man. Shen Yuan has been a straight man all his life, and even he has to admit that this man's beauty can even rival those idols on television. Honestly, "rival" is an understatement, this man completely demolishes Shen Yuan's perspective on beauty. Even though the clothes he wears seem a little bit too small for his frames, and the poor sofa is definitely crying for help with him laying on top, the man still looks drop-dead gorgeous.
Shen Yuan was actually surprised that he hadn't even heard of this cosplayer until this encounter. A man like that can absolutely wreck any fandom he is in if given a bit of effort. But in the end, perhaps he has his reason for staying low anyway, Shen Yuan wonders what could it be. “Ding! Ding!” A sound interrupts his train of thought, Shen Yuan drops his thought as he grabs his wallet and walks to the door: "I am coming right away!"
As he walks, a pair of red crimson eyes follow him.
