Chapter Text
Aizawa’s Afterword:
“All right, now everyone get out of here before I'm seen with you,” Aizawa said. “And to the guy in the dark grey cloak in the back-you still owe me 8,200 yen (about 60 US dollars) from our card game last week! I haven't forgotten!”
Izuku’s Afterword:
Izuku tore up official wedding papers. He tossed them-and some wedding invitations-into a little fire he had going. He was taking the whole ‘make no record of the event’ thing very seriously.
He had to, this wasn’t legal.
The wedding was a historical step, but most historical steps are illegal.
This wedding had to be kept secret, for as long as it needed to be. For as long as it took to make society better.
I’m gonna make this world better. If Hawks and Dabi ever have kids, they deserve to have a choice about life. He thought.
Izuku was tired of Quirk discrimination, of the hate and fear of villains, and the promise that so-called-heroes can solve everything.
He promised that he’d make the world better, and he sure was gonna. He was the hero that can fix everything. Even if it killed him.
Who Catches the Bouquet?/Food Table:
After the wedding Izuku padded around making sure the guests were enjoying themselves and were preparing to leave (the sooner they left, the lesser the chance of being caught).
He noticed Uraraka and Toga bustling around the buffet table, so he walked over there to see what they were up to.
“Shove them in Himiko,” Uraraka huffed.
“I’m trying dear! Your bag is absolutely stuffed already!” Toga responded.
Izuku raised his eyebrow, “Whats going on here?”
The scene was so classic: Toga was trying to stuff Uraraka’s huge bag full of wedding food.
Izuku let out a small laugh, “Any-wayyys, have either of you seen Tenko? He sorta ran off all distressed like earlier.”
They both shrugged. Toga had a glimpse of concern in her eye. Uraraka was focused on the food, perhaps she’d worry about him later.
Izuku noticed the tablecloth over the table shift a bit and he made a noise that sounded like “mmhmm”. He ducked under the table, causing the females above to squeak.
“Hey Tenko, what’s up? You ran off,” Izuku worried.
The one in question: Tomura Shigaraki aka Tenko Shimura was hiding under the buffet table with a plateful of red velvet doughnut holes. He groaned and moved his arm, revealing his gloved covered fingers clenching a bouquet of flowers.
“Ooh…” Izuku understood and instantly felt guilty. “Sorry…” Izuku couldn’t continue talking. It wasn’t his fault he didn’t feel the same feelings Tenko had. Ever heard the saying agree to disagree? That was there whole relationship.
Tenko caught the bouquet, which ‘prophesies’ that he’ll end up married next. It wasn’t either Izuku or Tenko’s fault that Tenko caught the bouquet. Tenko only wanted to get married to one person, and he knew the feelings would never be returned. Izuku felt bad about that, other than that one person, Tenko would never get to be in love. Truly in love. He’s had his crushes.
Tenko shoved another doughnut hole into his mouth. They sat without talking for a few minutes. It wasn’t silent because a wedding was going on outside of under the table and Tenko wasn’t a quiet muncher.
“Do you want to come out from under the table, leave the flowers here, and come enjoy the end of the wedding with me?” Izuku asked.
Tenko thought about it for a minute. “Sure,” he smiled a small smile.
They crawled out from under the table.
Uraraka and Toga were now on the other side of the clearing, dragging two large bags of food.
Hawks and Dabi were decorating each other with tin cans with ‘just hitched’ painted on them.
Other guests were spread out, a few even congratulating Endeavor about his son’s great choice of a husband.
Spinner was talking with Fuyumi, they looked like they were getting along quite well.
Izuku smiled at the scene, looked over at Tenko, and smiled even more.
I’m glad everyone is so happy. They deserve to be. There’s still more to be done, but this wedding is a great step!
Then his smile shrunk. He shouldn’t smile too big for too long. The shine from it would distract others from Hawks and Dabi’s big day.
[Before the wedding] Shmack Talk:
Izuku was pumping up the Todoroki children (minus Dabi).
”Alright now Natsou. Your turn. Your job will be to sit behind Endeavor with this sack.” Izuku pointed to a potato sack. It wasn’t filled with potatoes.
Natsou look confused. Fuyumi and Shoto did too.
“In case Endeavor tries to stop the wedding or objects to their union.” He waited for recognition. He saw it in Shoto. Shoto smirked. And then Fuyumi. She had a look of horror. Funny, He thought. “You hit him over the head with it. It’s filled with rocks. Ugly rocks, so I don’t care if you break them on his hard, blocky head. I don’t want them back.” Izuku explained to Natsou. His eyes go wide.
Fuyumi voiced her concern, “What if he gets hurt?!”
“Like I said: hard, blocky head. And even if he did, we’re in the middle of nowhere with a bunch of outlaws, we could just leave him here, nobody would say anything,” Izuku said, waving her off.
She said nothing.
Izuku clapped. “Alright! Everybody ready to go?”
Whoops and hollers from everywhere.
Natsou picked up his sack.
