"Mm..nice pillow.." Childe rolled around.
"When'd my pillow get this soft.." he thought. He felt a hand go through his hair.
He froze.
"Should I get up and find out who the hell this is or stay this way" he contemplated.
"Screw it" Childe got up to see who it was.
"Shenhe?!" he blushed, hard. And just like Childe, Shenhe was as red as tomato.
"O-Oh! On-One apologizes f-for!"
"NO! Stop apologizing, I-I don't mind.." he sat up properly.
"One will leave n-"
"Wait!"
"Huh?" she looked into his eyes, they looked, alive.
"Thank you"
(A few hours ago)
"CHILDE!?" Shenhe ran towards Childe. She immediately picked him up and checked for a pulse. Thankfully he was still alive.
"It seem like he just fainted" she felt relived. She then picked him up and took him to his bedroom. She placed him on the bed and was about to leave, but she stopped. Something inside her told her to stay- just to keep him safe, right? Shenhe sat beside him in order to keep him safe. How could she leave him in this vulnerable state?
Childe, in his sleep, rolled onto her lap and Shenhe couldn't help but laugh.
"Oh Childe. Ever since you came into my world, I felt a purpose. You've changed so much in such little time, you're incredible! You've taught me not only how the real world works, but also my own feelings...specifically love. Ever since the incident with my father and master taking me as her own, I've never really had time to explore my emotions, and it's still very foreign to me but..I like it." she stopped.
Tears began to form and she couldn't help but shed a few.
"Thank you. Thank you so much for everything. From just greetings to letting me stay at your house. You're everything I've ever wanted and more.." she paused. A smile soon began to appear on her face.
"A-And..one-no, I love you.." she said, kissing his forehead.
(Back to Present time)
"And, I love you too" he said with a huge smile on his face.
"Wai-how-YOU HEARD!?" she flushed red and Childe laughed.
"Most of it, yeah" he smiled.
"Now c'mere" he pulled her back down.
"Wha-!?" her eyes widened. There they were, face to face, lips, to lips. Shenhe felt him smile against her lips and she blushed even more. At this point, SHE was going to pass out.
Their lips soon parted and Shenhe couldn't look Childe in the eye. It seemed like he had noticed that because he made her face him and smirked.
"Are you scared of me? I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that" he pouted.
"N-No! I'm n-not scared.." she replied, Childe chuckled.
"Y'know, when I was listening to you say all that, I so badly wanted to kiss you. I almost started to cry as well"
"Really?" her eyes widened even more.
"Mhm. Now, I have an important question for you" he took her hands.
"Yes?" she tilted her head.
"Will you go out with me?" he asked, squeezing her hands a bit.
'Chu'
"Does that answer your question?" she smiled.
Childe blushed hard before giving her the biggest bear hug.
"Also, sorry about earlier.." Shenhe frowned.
"Don't worry about it! If that didn't happen, this wouldn't have happened" Childe winked.
The couple laughed as they both hugged each other to death. ❤
