“The end.”
“What!?” The chubby baby on my lap exclaimed. “Where’s the happy ending!?”
I chuckled and gently pinched her cheek. “Not every story has a happy ending sweetheart.”
“Nah-uh, everything ends happily uncle, that’s what mommy said.” She argued. “Did the princess even go back to the well?”
“Yes. Everyday, but the well was already destroyed.” I replied.
She huffs. “Well I don’t like this story uncle Nanon, it’s sad.”
“Some stories are like that Nina.”
“So what? The Princess just gave up? Did she even wait?”
“She did, but it’s been three years.” I replied sadly. I waited and waited, but there’s no sign of him, no sign of Chimon either. Although I no longer work at the bar, I kept going there every night trying to look for Chimon, but no luck.
“But the prince told her to wait, because he’ll come looking for her.”
“He did, didn’t he?” I said, rubbing her head. “Anyway, uncle needs to go honey.”
“Where?”
“I’m meeting my high school friends.” I explained, putting her down before I stood up. “I haven’t seen them in a long time.”
Nina jumped enthusiastically. “See uncle? You haven’t seen your friends for a long time, and now you’re meeting them, don’t you think that should happen to the prince and the princess in your story?”
I smiled down at her. “Then that would make the princess the happiest person in the world.”
My niece entwined her hands together and shut her eyes tightly. “I hope they meet again.”
“I hope so too.”

“Nanon! You’re finally here.” Jack, one of my high school buddies placed his arm around my shoulder. “How have you been?”
“I’m doing great, how about you?” I ask, accepting the drink he offered me.
“All over the moon man.” He laughs. “It’s nice to see everyone again, especially Elise.” There it is. “She’s more prettier than before.”
“Dude, you never had a chance with her back then, why would you think you’ll have a chance now?” I tease.
“Hello? Have you seen me? I’m a hundred more times attracted than before.”
We burst into laughter and continued talking, soon, everyone in the gang gathered and there was never a dull moment with these lot.
We drink, ate, and drink again, telling never ending stories about life. Most of them are now either happily married or are in a relationship and I envy them.
I excused myself and stepped out for some fresh air. I looked at the moon that shines so brightly and sigh. It’s been three years since that fateful day, it’s been three years since I have been waiting for him to show up. I’d like to think that Uvorhia still exist somewhere, and that he’s still there, ruling over the land. I’d like to think that he’s doing his best to come back to me, but sometimes, I couldn’t help but doubt everything. There’s always this part of me that thinks Uvorhia really was forever gone, that he was forever gone and to this day, it still gives me nightmares, how I’m partially at fault for what transpired there.
“Where are you Ohm?” I ask, looking at the moon.
I heard cheering inside and decided to go back.
“What’s up?” I asked Jack once I got back.
“We all agreed to re-enact our senior prom.” Jack laughed. “Everyone’s now asking someone to go to the prom with them.”
“You guys are something else.” I said, shaking my head in amusement.
Jack gulped down the drink in one go, before tapping me in the shoulder. “I should go ask Elise.” He said and walked off.
After some time, the emcee went back on stage again. “Okay guys, it’s time for the first dance.” He announces and soon, a familiar music started playing.
“Fucking hell.” One of my friends muttered. “Never thought I’d hear this song again.”
~Can you imagine what would happen
If we could have any dream.
I wish this moment was ours to own it
And that it would never leave~
I sipped on my drink from time to time as I watch everyone dance to the song, this really brings back memories.
~Then I would thank that star
That made our wish come true~
“Dude, did you know that there’s a drink called kindly fuck off?” My ears perked up.
“What? I’ve never heard of it.”
~Cause he knows that where you are
Is where I should be too~
I looked at the two men behind me, one of them holding a suspicious looking drink. Even with the loud music, I could still hear the loud beating of my heart that feels like it’s in my ears now.
“Excuse me.” I called out. “What did you say the drink was called?”
“Kindly fuck off.” He replied. “The guy at the makeshift bar just told me.” He continued, pointing at the bar. Since it’s kind of dark at the moment, I excuse myself and made my way to the bar. There’s only one person standing there, and as if sensing me, the man turned around and my heart dropped as Chimon smiled and waved at me.

I’m looking at you~
I was about to continue walking towards him when he looked somewhere else, so I followed where he was looking at and my hand automatically covered my mouth as tears formed in my eyes.
~And my heart loves the view
Cause you mean everything~
I was stuck on the spot, I couldn’t believe what I’m seeing right now, if this is real or just my imagination. This better be not an imagination. When he spotted me, he smiled and slowly walked towards me.
~Right here, I’ll promise you somehow
That tomorrow can wait
For some other day to be~
“Found you.” He spoke the moment he was finally in front of me.
“I-“
Ohm didn’t let me finish as he leaned down and kiss me. I immediately wrapped my arms around him and kiss him back.
~But right now there’s you and me~
“I am never leaving your side ever again.” I spoke in between our kiss.
~Right here
Oh, right now
Yeah, I’m looking at you~
“We’ll never be separated again. I promise you that.”
~And my heart loves the view
Cause you mean everything~
I nodded and kissed him again.
Together.
Forever.

Ohm managed to connect the portal temporarily onto a different well before he and Chimon rebuilt the old well. Two days after I got him back, I moved out from my place and move everything to Uvorhia. I still work in the human world, and would go home straight to the other world, we made it work somehow, and I’ve never been happier.
Uvorhia of course changed, but it was still beautiful as ever. There are still dragons attacking us from time to time, the elves are still keeping to themselves, though the mermaids are now opening up to us. As for Chimon, still playing around, saying he didn’t want to settle down with one person because for him it is restricting, whatever that means. Domum is still obsessed with marshmallow, so we never ran out of it.
As for Ohm, I’m still so head over heels crazy for him. I do have one concern, and that’s growing old together with him, which is a problem because they never die, unlike a human like me.
“What are you thinking about?” I snapped out of my thoughts and looked down on Ohm, resting his head on my lap.
I sigh. “I told you I would never leave your side again right?” He nodded. “But you know, I’m going to die at some point.”
I expected a lot of reactions from Ohm, but not him laughing. What’s so funny about what I just said?
“I’m not worried about that.”
My stomach tightened. “You’re not?”
He shook his head. “No, because we have a ritual that could grant a human eternal life.”
My eyes widen. “You do!?”
He nodded again. “Yes baby, we do.”
I pushed him off my lap and stood up. “Then let’s do it right now! Hurry!” I said, pulling him up.
“Non, you need to-“
“I don’t have to think about it Ohm, I want to do it now.” I demanded. “I want to be with you forever.”
Ohm smiled, caressing my cheek. “I love you.”
“I love you more.”
