Chapter Text
"Wake up Sage!" a voice called from downstairs. "It's time to go to school!" A loud knock on the door followed by a minute of silence right after. "Coming!" Sage yelled as he
frantically jumped out of bed and got dressed. "Don't be late." Sage turned around and looked at his bed with a shocked expression. There was nothing there! A moment ago,
he could have sworn someone whispered Don't be late to him. After a while he concluded that it must be his mind playing tricks on him. So he opened the door to his
bedroom and walked down stairs
As Sage walked down the stairs he tripped on one of the many instrument cases around the house. Slightly annoyed he kicked it away, only to have his mother scold him for
mistreating it. Sage comes from a very musically inclined family who has high expectations of him, everyone else in his family can play four, or even five different instruments
fluently. But Sage could only ever master three in all of his fourteen years. Granted they were some of the most beautifully sounding instruments but still. The Flute, Violin,
and Piano were his specialty and instruments of choice.
He and a few of his friends even managed to convince the school to start a band class by starting a fundraiser by selling some of Sage's mothers cookies. He didn't realize he
was subconsciously getting on the bus until one of his friends, Jericho, waved and called him over to sit next to him. "Did you hear about what happened yesterday?" Jericho
asked excitedly. "No what happened?" Sage asked as he took his seat and began his day.
Somewhere someone else was also beginning their day, a day filled with escape attempts and frustration. "Is he ready." He said to the darkness that surrounded him
"Not yet. but soon, soon he will be." replied someone concealed within the shadows "By the way, I must ask, what do you plan to do once it's done?" Asked the darkness. "Vengeance." was the only reply
