Operation: Get A Boyfriend

Chapter 3: confession's aftermath

Chapter Text

Meeting P'Sakda today was the plan, or at least, that's what View hoped for.

However, seeing the senior during lunch time, where the older teen proudly proclaimed that he had something to say, was not what he expected to happen. So as he sat there watching P'Sakda stand on the lunch table - everyone's silent, amazed attention on him - the senior stated that he was not interested in girls so if they could kindly give him some space, that would be great.

As the girls around him began to pout (and some even sobbed, to his shock), View couldn't help but wonder if P'Sakda's eyes lingered on him ever so briefly...

… but surely, that was just a dream, right? Pinching himself, View let out a small, barely audible gasp of pain, one of his friends shooting him an amused look before speaking.

"Look, View! You may have a chance with Phi after all!"

"Shush!" said teen wanted him to be quiet, he didn't want the older teen to think he was crushing on him like some middle schooler, a flush painted on his cheeks from his friends teasing and yet... his eyes couldn't help but stay on his Phi, who was now chatting with his own friends while laughing in his usual cute manner... maybe they were right, maybe he did have a chance. Determined, View spent the rest of lunch period finishing up his meal and remaining homework, confirming potential hang outs with his still teasing friends, and then - following the free period he knew the senior had before his next class - made his way to the big tree in the courtyard of their school, where P'Sakda was known to hang out when he had no classes or was skipping.

"Hey! View, right?"

A bit confused, the youngest brother made his way towards the waving teen, gingerly sitting down next to the older teen after he indicated for him to do so, the other's eyes taking him in as though he was about to... but no, that would imply Phi had those feelings for him too and well, there was no way of that happening...

"Would you like to go out with me?"

"Huh!?" View stared in disbelief. He knew the older was a bit of a free spirit but... even so! P'Sakda chuckled, tentatively reaching out to brush a stray lock of hair out of his face. "P-Phi?"

"Cute..." P'Sakda grinned. "I know we don't know each other well but... I would like to give it a chance, if you are willing. I always found you cute, personally, but you always seemed so shy to talk with me, so I wanted to help if I could by confessing in front of the school my... preferences. Not that it should matter but I want to show you in some way that I'm serious about my relationships."

"I... y-yes!" chuckling, View shyly leaned into him, the older teen adjusting his hold to cuddle him closer. "I wanted to confess myself but... thank you for doing it for me, Phi! I wish you didn't have to come out for it to happen though..."

Before the senior could reply, a well known voice shouted his name across the courtyard, causing View to flinch and Sakda to frown before he focused on the source of his new boyfriend's name, seeing what appeared to be an older man, likely the junior's father. The man seemed to have some choice words ready, followed by a shorter woman who Sakda assumed to be View's mother and a few other people who seemed to be older, the father's eyes bulging in fury over the arm he now had across View's shoulder. It was possibly petty of him, but the senior refused to move it. He meant what he told View, he would be serious about this relationship, even if it meant shielding him from his own father. Just as the older man opened his mouth, the other man whom he vaguely recognized as View's oldest brother who would sometimes pick him up from school spoke up.

"Father, just stop." Waan - that was his name from what the senior could remember - sighed. "Win already told me about this, isn't twice enough?"

"You!"

"No 'me', father." there was what seemed to be like a newfound conviction in the man's eyes as he faced down his father. "The three of us are happy with our partners of choice. It's up to you to accept it or lose everything. I doubt you failed to notice how unhappy mother has been with how you acted these past few weeks."

Furious, the head of the family turned to his wife, only to be met with a blank face that didn't … bode well.

"Honey..."

"Again, don't honey me." the woman spoke calmly, though there was an edge of hurt to her tone that caused both of her present sons to try and comfort her. "It's alright, boys. How about we invite all of your boyfriends for dinner tonight? I already knew Team and Tul to an extent but I would love to meet Sakda as well!" she shot her youngest son's new boyfriend a smile before facing her husband once more. "As for you, honey, please don't bother coming home tonight. Go do what you do best and think over your actions, yes?"

With that said, View's mom left, followed by Waan and who Sakda assumed was Waan's boyfriend, Tul, leaving behind only the two of them as the older man stormed off in some unknown direction.

"That was so intense..." his boyfriend bit his lip, eyes shiny in a way the senior didn't like. "... phi?"

"Not your fault, cutie." he poked his cheek gently. "Come on, you are already late for your next class, what sort of boyfriend would I be if I didn't at least try to ensure you did attend your classes?"

"P'Sakda!"

Laughing, the senior stood up and began to slowly walk away, allowing his new boyfriend to fall into step as he complained.

All in all, it was a great end of a day.

Notes:

I thought it would be cute if View sought support from his older brothers and their boyfriends, thus this fic was born. No idea how long it will be, but I know it will be mostly fluffy with a hint (or maybe more) of angst cause we all know what their father is like. For the purposes of this fic, View is about 17 here, so a year off from being a senior and graduating. Sakda in turn is 18, but they are closer in age due to his birthday being later in the year. Rating may or may not change.

I'd also like to apologize for not posting anything for nearly 2 months, I had a death in the family so I needed at least a bit of time before I started writing again, but this plot bunny wouldn't leave me alone so...

As always, thank you for reading!
