Chapter Text
"Is it alright if you came to the dinner with me?" he asked with pleading eyes.
The fuck? Why would he look at me like that, he's literally my boss, am I not obligated to go with him?
"Yes, of course I will" you said.
The thrill in his eyes did not go unmissed. Neither did the way his shoulders relaxed, letting go of all tension. It was almost like he was nervous. Almost..
A black ink filled the sky as you left work for the day. Your entire body ached from another day of filing hero paperwork and all you really wanted was so ramen and cold beer. Shifting your body over to the elevator, you pressed the button.
DING!
A taller male in a suit was inside - your boss.
"Takami? Are you alright? It's late" you whispered, voice laced with worry
You glanced at his suit, tight-fitting in all the right ways. It enhanced every feature he had and practically made him eye candy.
"What about you? Need a ride home?" he chuckled, secretly glad you'd asked
"No, I live close enough to walk" you swallowed.
"Well I wouldn't be much of a hero if I let you walk yourself home in this dark? Would I" he smirked.
You nodded your head in agreement and he linked arms with you as you exited the building
Dark and cold it was. It was easy to forget with how close Hawks was. So close that you could see the stubble on his chin, the air he breathed out into the cold and could feel the heat of his arm.
He's gorgeous
Takami turned his head and you quickly looked away. A small smile crept onto his face at the thought of you blushing.
"Thanks for agreeing to go to the dinner. Is it alright if I pick you up at 6?"
"Yeah. Yeah sure" you said
"Make sure to wear something cute" he added as you turned the corner onto your street.
The sheer thought of Hawks finding you cute was overwhelming and you tried to hide your face as you felt yourself heating up.
A cold hand slid onto your face as Hawks guided your chin to look at him.
Your lips parted in confusion and he quickly glanced at them. And as quick as he looked, he placed his hands into his pockets and said farewell.
"See you tomorrow at 6." he said as he spread his wings and flew in the opposite direction. Leaving you shocked and somewhat breathless at your own front door.
He touched me. What would he do if he didn't let go?..
You entered your apartment and closed the door, immediately sitting with your back against it. Heart hammering in your chest, you knew you had to dress to impress tomorrow.
