Ever since the confession, Jiwoo and Sooyoung had an amazing experience as girlfriends, and Jiwoo could not have loved it more. Her girlfriend was sweet and caring, and clearly loved her very much. And it went both ways.
For Jiwoo’s birthday, Sooyoung wanted to show her girlfriend how much she meant, so she dedicated the day to making Jiwoo happy, and making sure it was very special to her.
She started it off by letting herself into Jiwoo’s apartment to serve her breakfast in bed. Then, she drove her to her favorite thrift store for some new clothes.
Jiwoo picked out a few cute tops, as well as a skirt and some accessories, but when she took out her wallet, Sooyoung stopped her to tell her that she would pay for it. The whole car ride after that was full of Jiwoo’s thanks, and lots of shared laughs between the two.
They parked that car, and Sooyoung told Jiwoo that she had taken her to an apple orchard to pick her own fresh apples to eat. Just a few weeks ago, Jiwoo had mentioned how much she loved the fruit, and Sooyoung promised she would never forget.
Jiwoo seemed to have an amazing time, and it warmed Sooyoung’s heart to see her girlfriend so happy on her own special day.
The two girls decided to have a photoshoot at the farm, getting pictures against many different backgrounds, including the trees, the hay bales, and the gorgeous golden-brown color of the mountains in the autumn.
Once they had finished checking out their fruit, Jiwoo and Sooyiung started heading back to the car, but on the way, Jiwoo squealed and ran off: she had seen a fenced-in pen full of pigs.
She crouched down to pet one of the piglets, and Sooyoung smiled to herself, enjoying the joy on Jiwoo’s face as she got to interact with the animal.
She watched Jiwoo as she played with the pigs, enjoying the way her braids bounced as she ran, and her jacket blew in the wind. She felt a rush of butterflies when she noticed the skirt was one that Sooyoung had picked out a while back, and realized that Jiwoo kept her in mind even when the day was all about her.
“Unnie, come on, they’re so cute,” Jiwoo called, breaking Sooyoung out of her trance.
“They are,” Sooyoung said. “But they don’t compare even in the slightest to my girlfriend.”
Jiwoo blushed, a smile growing between her cheeks.
“Unnie,” she complained, but Sooyoung knew she didn’t really mean it.
That night, after treating Jiwoo to dinner at her favorite restaurant, they came home, putting on a movie to watch.
However, it quickly became background noise as Soohyung swooped down to kiss Jiwoo on the forehead, earning a soft giggle out of the younger.
She leaned back down to kiss her on the nose, then each cheek, and finally on the lips.
“Happy birthday, Jiwoo.”
“Thanks, Unnie. I love you so much.”
“I love you even more.”
