Chapter Text
“Ugh, couldn’t you have at least given us a warning?”, Ochako complained. Her, along with the rest of the unlucky individuals who made the unfortunate decision of participating in the experience, were lying on the ground outside, attempting to not hurl up their lunch.
“First of all, I didn’t know, and second, since you so graciously decided to give me attitude, you’re up next. Now, does anyone else have anything to say to me?” Complete silence along with a few people shaking their heads gave Aizawa the correct answer, apparently. “Good. Now, let’s take a break to let Yu relax, and allow all of our stomachs to calm down. After that, Ururaka will be up next.”
‘Of course I had to open my big mouth’ Ochako thought to herself. Well, at least they got a bit of a break, now she has a chance to ask Iida, Todoroki, and Deku what the hell it was that she just saw. Sadly, it seemed that she’s not the only one who has the idea to chew the three out, as Bakugou was currently yelling profanities at mainly Deku, with Kirishima standing behind him, attempting to calm him down.
“What the fuck?! I knew you were dumb before this but now I doubt you even have a brain! I swear to god Deku-“ before Bakugou could continue with his rant, Todoroki interrupted him, “Okay, we get it, you have something against Midoriya and you’re better than everyone else, now can you leave us alone?” With that, Bakugou angrily stomped away.
“Okay, are any of you going to explain what I saw back there? Because what the hell were you thinking! Especially you, Iida, considering you’re the one always preaching about following the rules!” Ochako exclaimed, catching the three off-guard.
“Ururaka, I apologize for the hypocrisy and do hope this does not change the way you view me as a person!” Iida apologized, nearly hitting his head smack dab on the ground as he bowed. “Erm, it’s fine, Iida!” Ochako made a quick rebuttal, “But I am upset that you all kept this from me! I mean seriously! Attempted murder?! Why couldn’t I have helped?”
“Alright, energy-drainers, get up, and Ururaka, come over here, it’s your turn,” Aizawa sighed.
Ochako slowly walked up to Ms. Yu, dreading the nauseating feeling of her quirk. “It’ll be alright, the nausea won’t last too long!” and then Yu’s hand was on her shoulder and now Ochako wanted to puke up her lunch.
“God, I can’t believe we’re going to have to do this, what? Four more times? I hate this quirk.” Shinso muttered, before proceeding to throw up. The class, along with Shinso, were now sitting in a hallway nearly exactly the same as Iida’s, except the pictures on the walls were now ones of Ochako.

A feeling of dread was pooling in the pit of Izuku’s stomach, he knew his secret about the quirk is getting closer and closer to being revealed, along with his past quirklessness. Of course, part of him knew him friends wouldn’t just turn their backs in him because he used to lack a quirk, but a louder part was screaming at him to fake an illness, get out of here before it was too late and things would revert to how they used to be. After all, the only reason he actually has friends is because he has a quirk now! God, what if this quirk reveals even more unsavory things, like how his father-
“Midoriya?” Izuku was now aware of a warm hand on his shoulder. “Oh! Iida! Sorry, I must’ve been rambling again,” Izuku was now extremely aware of the worried looks his friends were giving him, and god, he felt so selfish! He should be the one comforting his friends, especially Todoroki, who must be feeling a million times worse than Izuku right now.
“Don’t worry about it Deku, you just had this look on your face and nobody could catch a word of what you said. We’re just a bit worried about you, I know there’s some unsavory things that will be revealed about all of us today, but we still have eachother!” Ururaka beamed as she comforted him.
“Yeah, and what could the UA golden boy be hiding that’s so awful? He’s had basically everything handed to him on a silver platter!” Shinso remarked. “You have no right to say that! You’ve got some nerve-“
“Shinso, Todoroki, enough. I’m too old for this kinda shit. Let’s just get a move in and you two can fight all you want once class ends.” Aizawa interrupted, quirk displaying glowing red eyes.
“Apologies, Mr Aizawa,” “Yeah I’m sorry too,” with a bow from the two, the group began their walk.
Now stopped at a door with a plaque reading “Ururaka”, Aizawa opened the door as the rest of the group shuffled in. Midoriya had always found kids cute, and he definitely felt like teasing Ururaka about how snug she looks as a baby, but Kirishima had already beaten him to it.
“Awwwww, look at little Ururaka, I could just squeeze the life outta her!” Okay, that was…quite a violent way of saying things, but Kirishima did get his point across.
“Okay, it’s a baby, wow. Can we get a fucking move on already? I’m already bored out of my mind,” Iida immediately glared at Kacchan after that remark. Before an argument could erupt, Aizawa left the room, signaling it was time to go.
The next door led to a grocery store, and the class walked around until they spotted a now toddler Ururaka shopping with her mom.
“Here sweetheart, can you hold this for a second?” Ururaka’s mother handed her a can of soup, then proceeded to turn back around to look at the shelves. Conveniently missing that when Ururaka held the soup, it began floating away. “Uh, mommy? The soup-“ despite trying to tell her mother, the class watched as Ururaka kept accidentally making the things her mother asked her to hold float away. Everyone collectively attempted suppressing their giggling, even Mr. Aizawa, excluding Kacchan, who was now laying on the floor, howling with laughter.
“Ochako-“ before her mother could finish, Ururaka’s mother noticed the panicked look on her child’s face, along with the fact that everything was now floating above their heads. Ururaka’s mother eventually helped her figure out how to get everything to fall back down, and they did have to call an employee to clean up the mess of fallen soup cans, but things turned out alright.
The class was still surpassing giggles as they exited the store and walked back into the hallway. Izuku had never seen such a humorous quirk development, but here he was. Ururaka was openly giggling about the memory, and how she never realized how funny it actually was, as her four year old brain was filled with pure confusion and panic.
The hall was filled with giggled and jokes as the class made their way toward the next door, a wooden one, something you’d expect to find in a house. Upon entry, Izuku noticed it led to a hallway, which would be too dark to see in if it wasn’t for a light dining from the end of the hall, where a little Ururaka was sitting, sniffling. Arguing could be heard between a woman and man’s voice, Izuku recognized the woman as Ururaka’s mother.
“Well maybe if you didn’t spend so much on your stupid hero cards, we wouldn’t be in this situation!” Ah, Izuku was well aquatinted with parents arguing, it was a common thing in his household before his father left. The money argument wasn’t new to him either. As the yelling got worse, Izuku glanced at Ururaka, and noticed she was teary-eyed.
“Hey, don’t worry Ururaka, it’s just a memory, and you’re not alone in having parents arguing,” Izuku was quick to reassure her. “Yeah, I know, it’s just…they haven’t fought in so long, I guess I just forgot what it’s like to hear them going at it. This really was the moment I realized we were struggling with money, so it just hurts a bit, thanks for the reassurance though, Deku.”
“This is…depressing, can we go?” Kirishima asked Ururaka and Aizawa, Izuku definitely agreed, and was grateful to be out of there at last.
This time, the walk was much more solemn, as the last memory really put a damper on everyone’s mood. The next door was normal looking, and after stepping into it, everyone who had taken the enrollment exam immediately knew where they were. As more people shuffled out of the hall, the ground began shaking, and the Zero Pointer appeared, trapping Ururaka.
-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-
Midoriya really was a show off. Honestly, did he really have to put the zero pointer out of commission? He easily could’ve just lifted the rubble Ururaka was under with his kind of strength, but noooo. Hitoshi couldn’t stand the guy.
“Ururaka, me saving you was really that important?” Midoriya said, teary eyed. Oh yeah, he was also an easy crier, it was kinda annoying. “Of course Deku! I could’ve died for one, and if that never happened, our friendship might’ve never even existed!” Ah, she was sappy too. The two hugged, and Hitoshi really just wanted to take a nap.
The next door was the exact same as the one they saw in Ururaka’s house, so it really wasn’t a surprise when it opened up to reveal Ururaka and her parents eyes the UA acceptance letter. Once they finally opened it, the three yelled out of excitement in unision.
The next door was the one that opened to the UA classroom, and it was just the same memory as when Iida met Midoriya and Ururaka. The USJ incident was also extremely similar, so Hitoshi didn’t pay much attention to them. After exiting the UA Sports Festival door, which was just Ururaka fighting Bakugou, which he’d seen before, so, again, he wasn’t really interested, that all too familiar feeling if nausea came back, and now Hitoshi, along with the 1-A students, were laying on the ground outside again.
