She sat up on her bed fighting her eyelids to keep them open. Her face scrunched as she had just licked a lemon when the blinding light of her phone hit her face contrasting her dark surroundings. The clacking of her nails hitting the screen could be heard in the silence of the night.

She locked her screen with a click immediately when she heard the front door unlock
“Ugh”
Kanade sighed while kicking the sheets to adjust them. She heard a knock on the door and a worried voice after that.
“Are you ok?”
“Huh? I’m fine. I’m having trouble sleeping is all.”
“Oh no! It must be because of Hifumi! I apologize on his behalf. I’m so sorry.”
“It’s fine.”
The footsteps got quieter and quieter until they stopped. Kanade could hear some shouting coming from the other room. She lay face down and tried to cover her ears with her pillow but she quickly let go when she couldn’t breathe. She turned back around. Now lying face up, she grabbed her phone and held it above herself. She did what anyone who couldn’t sleep would do and checked the group chat.

Kanade sighed before locking her screen once again and setting it on the bedside table.
The sound seemed to cool down as her eyelids got heavier and heavier

There he was, following the ghost of a rival to god knows where. Doppo wished he never offered help as soon as the ghost guided him into a really sketchy alley. This was it. The spirit was looking for revenge. For what? Who cares! He was definitely after Doppo. Did he play a role in his death? Was it his fault? Was he a murderer? He was done for. He was going to be killed right there right then. If not, he would be charged with murder. How could he fuck up so badly? Why was he such a mess? Doppo could hear his heartbeat in his throat.
“This building.”
Doppo looked at the shitty inn and it all clicked. Nobody would find his body here. It was the perfect place for murder.
“I’ll try to unlock the door so don’t worry. Just go to floor 4.”
Floor 4… Was this a sign? It must be! He was so dead he was dead he was deaaadd!
Gentaro lead him to a door and started messing with the doorknob. Doppo could hear some sort of metal hitting the floor inside. Was that the thing that would be used to kill him? The door opened.
“I managed. Follow me”
He was being foolish walking towards his demise like that. He followed Gentaro to a door.
“Go inside. Do what you were going to do.”
Doppo had never regretted something like he regretted his last decision before.
A gruesome scene was in front of his eyes. It was Gentaro’s dead body being dismembered by someone with a saw. The walls and floors were all red from blood. Tied garbage bags were gathered in a corner and maggots were crawling around. Ew, gross.
Doppo screamed at the top of his lungs. He shouldn’t have since it alerted the man who stopped what he was doing and turned around.
“W-WAIT! IRUMA!?”
Doppo was in disbelief. Why would Officer Iruma do this? Why in such a gory, gruesome, and violent way?
“KANNONZAKA! I CAN EXPLAIN! LISTEN TO ME!”
Doppo was having none of it. He dashed towards the exit, knocking over a few things on his way there. God must have hated him because the door was locked.
“Hear him out, Kannonzaka.”
“W-WHAT? BU- BUT HE-“
Now the victim was siding with him? He needed to get to the fuck out of there. H started messing with the lock.
“Kannonzaka, I didn’t kill him. I’m just hiding the body.”
“SO YOU’RE HELPING THEM OUT?”
“NO! Listen it is a very long story so I’ll explain later, ok? All you need to know for now is I need to get rid of this body, return to Yokohama, and deal with the murderer myself.”
“Wha-what do you mean by that?”
“I just want to keep this incident a secret from Samatoki. My reasoning is unimportant.”
Doppo was very confused. What the fuck was going on? As far as he was concerned, Mad Trigger Crew had absolutely nothing to do with Gentaro. So why was Jyuto hiding his murder from Samatoki? His head hurt.
“Ahem.”
Gentaro reminded them of his existence.
“Right… we made a deal. I’ll get to it.”
