Adventures in Rody-sitting

Chapter 5

Summary:

Midoriya finally finds out what happened to All Might and gets a straight answer

Notes:

I really struggled with this one, but I hope you like it

Chapter Text

Midoriya sat down at the table, closing his eyes.

He ignored Shigaraki trying to get his attention. “What the hell are you doing?”

“Shh.”

I have to find All Might.

He was in the void, trying to call out for any of the previous users. Something was different this time around. He could hear his own voice, but for some reason, he couldn’t hear it out loud. Everything felt fuzzy. Like a distant connection.

Who are you?

That sounded like Nana.

My name is Izuku Midoriya. Do you know who I am?

He turned his head, suddenly coming face-to-face with Nana Shimura and the other users.

They were all still there. But their mood was different than he’d seen.

Before, they’d been calm and always had an air of omniscience about them. Like they knew what he was going to do before he even thought it.

But this time, they looked at him as if he was an invader. A stranger in their home.

He figured it made sense that they wouldn’t recognize him. But they looked like they wanted to.

“Izuku Midoriya. How did you get here?”

“I’m a user of One For All. I fell through a portal into this timeline...I think because I don’t belong here, the connection is slightly severed.”

He looked over at the thrones. They were all blocked off. Nothing but shadows to him, but he could make out their silhouettes. From what he could tell, there was one extra person there made of dark blue shadows with piercing red eyes.

He didn’t recognize them.

Nana stared down at him. “You’re looking for All Might, right?”

“Yes...is he...is he alive?”

She seemed to be on the fence. Unsure if she could trust him yet.

“I know you don’t trust me. You have no reason to trust me, but I promise...I just want to get answers. Shigaraki isn’t telling me the full truth and I need to know what happened so I can help.”’

Nana smiled a little. “I can tell you mean what you say.” She put a hand on his shoulder and he felt a tug on his chest. Then a moment of relief, like a weight had been taken off his chest.

Suddenly, the vestiges became clear. He could make out the users that came before him. All Might’s fiery yellow vestige was still just that. Fiery and yellow.

If he wasn’t fully there, did that mean he was still alive?

Something was off about his figure. But he couldn’t put his finger on what it was.

The other, new vestige was still unclear. He had no idea who it was.

He figured it might have been the new successor to All Might.

“All Might is fine. His successor, my grandson, has been training and honing his abilities.”

“What? You mean Shigaraki’s All Might’s successor?”

Her face hardened a bit. “He still calls himself that sometimes. But...lately he’s been kind enough to let us call him Tenko again.”

“So...if All Might’s been training him, then Shigaraki knows he’s still alive. Why would he try to keep it a secret?”

“You said your name was Izuku Midoriya, right?”

“Yes...why?”

“That happens to be the name of the boy who betrayed him.”

“What do you mean? Betrayed? We were teammates? Wait. Am I the reason for all of this?”

“You worked with him, yes. I wouldn’t go so far as to call you teammates...my guess is, if you truly are another version of him, he wasn’t sure if he could trust you.”

He had too many questions, but he doubted Nana was the one to answer them.

He looked over at All Might. All Might was staring back at him, but said nothing.

“I’ll leave here. To get some answers from you and Shigaraki in the real world.”

He gave a nod to Nana and opened his eyes, back in the chair, sitting at the table.

Shigaraki still sat across from him, but he’d apparently quickly lost interest and decided to pull out a video game.

“Shigaraki. You told me that All Might was missing.”

“Yeah. And?”

“What really happened?” His voice changed, now much more stern and controlling.

Shigaraki groaned, defeated. “Fine. You got me. I’ve been lying to you this whole time. You’ll just have to wait till All Might gets back for him to tell you.”

“Gets back? What do you mean? Is he coming back out of hiding?”

Shigaraki gave him a look. “No. From the grocery store.”

Midoriya stared, trying to process that sentence.

“What?”

Shigaraki clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes, similar to the fashion of an annoyed teenager.

At least whatever happened here didn’t take away Shigaraki’s shining personality.

“You’re so annoying, kid. You don’t listen, do you?”

They sat in silence for twenty more minutes before the door creaked open and, just as Shigaraki promised, All Might stepped into the room, carrying bags of groceries.

He looked the same.

Just as weary, just as thin, and just as exhausted. If only visibly much older than the All Might he knew. His blond hair was finally beginning to get streaks of white and silver in it. His face was only slightly starting to get wrinkles. Of course, the wrinkles were masked by a giant burn scar on the bottom of his jaw that reached just to the side of his nostril.

He set the groceries down and hung his cloak up on a hook by the front door. That’s when he pieced together what was wrong with the vestige he’d seen.

His right arm was gone.

All the way up to just below the pit with the sleeve rolled up and pinned in place.

“Tenko, would you mind putting these up for me? It’s a bit of a struggle for me to even get them here as it is.”

“You got them here, you put them up.”

“I have to have a few words with our guest.”

He didn’t look over at Midoriya, but it still felt like he was glaring right through him.

Shigaraki scoffed, picking up the bags.

Midoriya sat at the table, trying to piece words together. He didn’t know how to start the conversation.

“Hi, All Might.” He said meekly. He was usually pretty nervous around him, but this time he found it hard to even look in his direction. So he stared down at the table, pretending to focus on his hands, which were folded over each other.

All Might hummed to himself and sat across from him where Shigaraki was sitting.

“So...you’re a user of One For All. I saw you with the others.”

“I saw you, too...I’m from a different timeline. I’m just trying to figure out what happened so I can help fix it.”

“You happened.”

“Me?”

He’d had a feeling he had something to do with it. But hearing All Might say it out loud...it hurt worse than he thought it would.

“I did that to you?”

All Might put a hand on the scar on his face. “Not this...this, was just an accident done by a kid...he wasn’t trying to hurt me.” He motioned to his arm, or lack thereof. “This, however, was done by you…”

“Why? What happened to me?”

“I figure Tenko told you only half the story.”

Midoriya shrugged. Shigaraki admittedly hadn’t really told him much. “Only that his partner...I mean, I was taken in by All For One and turned on him when he tried to kill you at the USJ. And that you disappeared from the public.”

“Hm. That is the gist. But it didn’t give you any real answers, did it?”

“Not really, no.”

All Might sighed, running his hand over his face. “Alright. But it’s not a pretty story.”

It didn’t begin with the USJ attack, it began with the sludge villain. Except, with no Izuku Midoriya, he had to settle on the next best thing: Katsuki Bakugo.

It was easy enough for All Might to take the villain out. It was what happened afterwards he wasn’t prepared to handle.

While he was doing a preliminary check to make sure Bakugo was okay, Tsukauchi drove up, calling out for him. He was needed for crowd control.

“Code 10-44. Aldera Middle School. Civilians are overflowing past the police line.”

He tried to keep his voice quiet, but All Might could tell Bakugo heard the conversation. The look on his face was unmistakable.

Dread.

The color drained from his face, his pupils dilated, he swallowed nervously.

“The victim’s been identified as Izuku Midoriya. I’ve been tasked with letting his mother know in person.”

Bakugo quickly ran off in the direction of the school.

He knew there was nothing he could say to convince him not to go to the school. He just had to beat him there. So he could hold him back.

Aldera Middle School was a mess.

Civilians and journalists alike tried to get past the yellow tape to find out what was happening. Police tried to back them up, but every time they cleared an area, more took their place.

All Might was able to get people cleared out. When the Symbol of Peace tells you to clear the area, you clear it before he’s even done talking.

Which only gave Bakugo plenty of room to run through, trying to get to the scene. He stopped in his tracks as he caught a glimpse of the body being covered by a black bag.

All Might took no time grabbing him, holding him back.

It hurt.

Not the feeling of Bakugo’s nails digging into All Might’s arm through his suit. He felt his skin break. He was struggling to break free of his grasp, but he was being held tight.

But even all of that wasn’t what hurt.

It was keeping his composure. Having to listen to this young child’s voice break as he yelled for his friend. The crack in his voice as he burst into sobs. Begging for some kind of sign that his friend was alive.

It made him think of when he lost Nana Shimura. How badly he wanted to step in and do something, but he’d been held back by Gran Torino.

The desperation in Bakugo’s voice had been the same as his own.

“Deku! Get up! You’re fine! Please!”

Then his pleas of desperation turned into anger towards All Might.

“Let me go!”

He pressed his palm right up on his jaw, sending a weak, but painful blast right to his face.

All Might let go and Bakugo ran past the yellow tape, falling to his knees in front of the body. His hands shook as he lifted the black tarp up, revealing the body underneath and the color drained from his skin.

Even through the blood that was congealing on the poor boy’s face, All Might saw recognition in Bakugo’s eyes.

Bakugo covered his mouth, but still keeled over, vomiting through the tears until he was dry heaving.

The police weren’t sure if they should be more concerned about the burn on All Might’s face, or the unstable teenager spewing all over the ground.

Ultimately, All Might himself made the choice.

He quietly picked up Bakugo and pulled him into a hug.

Bakugo didn’t hug back. He just clenched his fists, trying to magically make his tears disappear.

“Put me down, All Might.”

This time All Might obliged on the first request.

He gently set him down.

Bakugo looked down at his feet, but continued back towards the scene. Only, he didn’t head back to his friend lying on the ground.

He went toward a journal that sat on the ground underneath a nearby tree.

He picked it up and walked back over to All Might, still not looking up.

“It would have been his dream to meet you...the least you could do is autograph it. He idolized you…more than anyone else I know…”

His voice was shaky, but he sounded like he was recovering from the shock pretty quickly.

He shoved the journal into his hands and closed his eyes to try and take calming breaths.

All Might quietly signed it and handed it back and led Bakugo back to outside the yellow tape.

In days, Japan’s civilians lost their minds. They swarmed around the Midoriya house, trying to get any interview with the mother that they could. This went on for a few days. All Might could tell that it was getting out of hand.

He didn’t know what he could do to help.

Thankfully – and unfortunately – he didn’t have to.

After a week of this, it all came to light.

Bakugo had confessed that he was the one who egged the poor boy on. Not that he expected him to actually do it. Just because he was a bratty teenager and teenagers are horrible people.

On the drop of a dime, the public enemy number one was Katsuki Bakugo. They swarmed him, his house, and even his parents when they were brave enough to leave it.

Even so, Bakugo still openly mourned who he’d called his friend.

But All Might had learned something about him.

He’d stopped by the Midoriya household to give his condolences, posing as one of his own agents so as to not draw attention to himself. Bakugo was there, sitting at the altar. Talking to it as if it were Midoriya.

“Today was pretty uneventful. I was actually able to go back to class today…they decided not to expel me...”

Despite everything, Bakugo had kept his hopes up and still had his sights on becoming a Pro. But not to prove he was better than everyone else. He had a new goal in mind. He wanted to be a Pro because Midoriya had never gotten the chance to even try, so he wanted to become one for the both of them.

Midoriya’s mother appeared to have forgiven him for what he did. Though it didn’t look like she even believed him. She’d known him since he was a kid and she always knew him as her son’s best friend.

But she was grateful the attention had been drawn from her. Even if it meant Bakugo and his family were now targets of the media and public.

That lasted an entire month before the truth came out.

While it had initially been ruled a suicide, evidence came to light and Bakugo had been cleared of any guilt. Whether or not his conscience agreed.

It was simply an accident.

Midoriya was standing on the roof of the school when the construction had given out beneath his feet. The cameras had caught everything. Even the part where he was clinging for his life.

No child who wanted to die would try to not die. Case closed, all is said and done. His mother even received a hefty financial statement from the school, as they were legally at fault. It was their shoddy upkeep of the school that allowed for the construction to start falling apart and for her son to have been able to be left unattended in a restricted area.

Things quickly went back to normal.

Too quickly, if All Might wanted to be honest.

But, it was neither here nor there.

It allowed Bakugo to be able to focus on training to become a hero.

And so he did. He worked harder than anyone All Might had ever seen.

He wasn’t sure why he didn’t choose him as a successor. Maybe because he sensed Bakugo had too much self loathing. Maybe it was because he felt like he wanted to be a hero for the wrong reasons.

All Might was too familiar with the consequences of becoming a hero to avenge someone he loved.

It only led down a path of self ruin.

So he just watched Bakugo try to better himself. He was even able to pass the entrance exams. Albeit, just barely.

Despite his previous attitude, he was a very capable student. Even earning himself a spot in the top five of the class. He noticed that even his personality was changing.

He made a commitment to himself that he was going to be the type of hero Midoriya would have wanted to be.

And for the first couple of weeks, it was working for him. He was making friends, his attitude was improving.

But none of that mattered.

All Might hadn’t been there for the first half of the battle, but by the time he’d arrived, the students and Aizawa were already in shambles. He wasn’t sure where the rest of his class was, but he’d gotten there just as Bakugo was being held over the edge of the building.

He’d grabbed the villain by the face and tackled him through the cement roof, leaving a sizable crater in the floor.

Bakugo coughed, holding his throat.

“D…Deku…”

All Might looked down at the small villain, quickly piecing things together, but not entirely.

The villain kicked backwards, getting some distance between himself and All Might. He cracked his neck and All Might swore he heard an excited giggle despite the mask visibly cracking. A lens popped off and fell to the ground and a big, green eye could be seen just beneath.

“I’m actually fighting All Might. This is the best day of my life. Is it inappropriate to ask for your autograph? It’s always been my dream to meet you.”

Something didn’t sit right with All Might. This villain was excited to get to fight him. Most were terrified to even be in the same area as him. This guy just sounded like an excited child getting to meet a celebrity. While his partner was also excited, but in the way that someone gets when they’ve cornered that pesky fly that’s been bothering them.

Neither of these facts bode well for him.

Especially when the latter opened up a purple portal, pushing the former through it.

“Go play with the kids and stay out of my way.”

He looked small and scrawny. There was realistically no way he could survive a fight against All Might.

Then All Might saw the Nomu, still slamming Aizawa’s face into the ground.

Now that thing would be harder for him to beat.

Nonetheless, he fought as if there were no worries or doubts that he could beat this thing.

Normally it wouldn’t have been an issue, but he was already running past his time and he felt himself getting weaker by the second. The last thing he needed was exposing his weakness in front of these villains and the students that were relying on him. And Aizawa. If they made it out of this, he’d never let him live it down if he couldn’t handle the first villain attack they came across.

But no matter how hard he punched the Nomu, it wasn’t taking any damage.

What did it take to take this thing down?

The Nomu stepped back as All Might took one more swing at it. A portal opened up between them at the last second and All Might stumbled through, his head and shoulder caught on the other side, appearing just a few feet away. The portal shrunk around him, locking him in place tightly, cutting into his body.

“Kurogiri, stop screwing around and take him out!” Shigaraki yelled. “Shut the portal on him!”

All Might didn’t have time to react, as he had been kicked in the face and knocked backwards on his ass, hitting the floor. Along with a red boot that landed next to his head.

“That was supposed to take your head off, but I suppose your arm will have to do…” Shigaraki growled. “Nomu, finish the job!”

All Might didn’t even get a chance to breathe, as instantly the Nomu pinned him to the ground, digging his large claws into his sides.

Blood pooled from both his mouth and the gaping wounds on his sides and his vision began to blur.

Then the Nomu dropped him.

A shrill scream of pain nearly burst his eardrums.

Shigaraki was keeled over in pain, a puddle of blood forming underneath his hands and both his middle fingers had been separated.

He let out raspy breaths, shaking and trying not to cry through gritted teeth.

The boy turned his head toward the other students who were still hiding. “Todoroki, cauterize All Might’s wound.”

Instead, Todoroki shot a wall of flame, barely missing both his intended target and All Might.

“You’ll kill all my friends, but All Might is where you draw the line? Are we worth less to you because you don’t see us as a threat!?”

He didn’t get a response as the demeanor of his opponent changed. He limped over to Todoroki, dragging his sword along the ground, the blade slowly scraping the cement as he moved until he was face-to-face with the now-shaking student.

“The only person you’re a threat to, Todoroki, is your own classmates.” He pointed over to where the shot of fire had been aimed where Todoroki started to realize whimpering had been coming from.

No one could see anyone there, but there was the outline of someone curled up on the floor surrounded by small fires left over from Todoroki’s attack.

Hagakure had been hit.

Yaoyorozu quickly stepped up, making a first aid spray. “Hold on, Hagakure! I’ll give you some spray to help the burns! Just direct me to where you’ve been hit.”

The remaining classmates stared at Todoroki in silence and the boy, who finally introduced himself as Dare, stepped forward to speak to them.

“This is what happens when you put the future of the world in the hands of selfish people. They don’t care about the consequences their actions have on other people. Only how their actions benefit themselves.” He turned his attention back to Todoroki. “I didn’t save All Might because I think he’s more worthy of living than your classmates. I saved him because he needed saving. Your classmates weren’t saved because you weren’t good enough to save them. And the sooner you accept that, the sooner you’ll be able to move past your father’s shadow. You have so much potential to be something worthwhile but you waste it all on proving you aren’t Endeavor. But here’s a little secret.” Dare walked up to Todoroki and slightly lifted up his mask to speak clearly. “Proving you’re just as good as All Might instead of Endeavor is just proving that you’re just like your father and if you die today no one will talk about you. They’ll talk about how Endeavor lost another son. That’s all they talk about. Outside of hero society, no one cares about you. But, then again…” he lowered his mask and stepped back, “that’s not really any different than your home life, is it?”

Todoroki yelled, half of his body igniting in an uproar of flames. He shot out his arm, knocking Dare back into a wall.

“Todoroki, no-!” Bakugo tried to warn, tackling him to the ground.

But it was too late.

Todoroki’s flames had quickly spread, reaching all the way to the other side of the main area.

The remaining students made for the exit, but Kurogiri appeared in front of them via a portal of his own.

“Kurogiri, we’ve done what we came here to do, let them go.” Dare said, standing and holding his injured arm.

Kurogiri pondered for a moment before complying. He opened a portal underneath the group of students, sending them through to safety.

He looked at Shigaraki, seeming to consider if he wanted to rescue him, too.

It only took him a few seconds to decide that he was going to leave him behind, as he’d disappeared through a portal of his own.

Dare looked over at All Might, who still hadn’t been cauterized and was still bleeding out. His skin was pale and clammy. He could feel his form weakening rapidly.

The smoke from the fire conveniently clouded the smoke coming off his own body. He could have sworn that Dare was about to move to help him, but he was pulled through a portal and it closed behind him.

All Might saw Shigaraki still lying on the ground, refusing to move. He was on his hands and knees, a look of shock stuck on his face. He hadn’t even bothered to back away from the fire that was quickly approaching him.

A light post fell, setting a loose wire swinging around wildly. It would have gotten Shigaraki in the face, but All Might gathered his strength to get to his feet and scooped up the scrawny villain and held him under his arm like a rolled up carpet.

All Might heard a beam cracking above his head and tossed Shigaraki aside and braced himself.

When he woke, he found himself in the middle of the Endura Woods. Surprisingly, nothing hurt. He actually couldn’t feel anything. Which probably wasn’t a good sign.

He was lying on the ground, on top of some fabric and a rolled up jacket.

Why wasn’t he in a hospital?

Footsteps approached and stopped right by his head.

“About time you woke up. I was starting to worry I’d have to start digging a grave.”

Shigaraki stood over him, looking only slightly unhappy to see him alive. That was probably the last face All Might expected to see rooting for his survival.

“Don’t bother trying to sit up.” He said, dropping a bag of stuff beside him and sitting down.

“I wasn’t going to. I don’t even think I can.”

“You can’t. I drugged you. You can’t move at all or feel any pain.” He dug through the bag and pulled out a bottle of ointment.

“What happened?”

“All of Japan believes the Symbol of Peace is dead.”

“What? Why?”

“You had an entire building collapse on you and when the police showed up, you were face down in your own blood.”

Yeah, that’ll do it.

“So why am I here?”

“You’re going to help me get revenge on and kill my former teammates.”

Shigaraki poured something into a cup and swirled it around, eyeing it with a sly look.

“Why do you want my help?”

“Because my chance at power was stolen and I need yours. And I know you’ll give it to me.”

“What makes you think I will?”

“Because I know a few things about you, thanks to my master. He tells me that you’re getting weaker and you’re looking to find a successor to inherit this power you have that you got from my grandmother. And you don’t have much longer to live. You were meant to pass it on to a third-year at UA, but you didn’t.”

“They’re children…they shouldn’t be burdened with the responsibility I have. It should go to an adult.”

“Which leads me to my last point. It can’t go to an adult if you die here in the middle of these woods.”

“What?”

“I mentioned I drugged you. Did you think it was just painkillers? It’s paralytic. And if you ever want to walk again, let alone get out of this wood, you’ll give it to me.”

All Might realized how tight his muscles had gotten. He’d thought they had just gotten rigid from being unconscious.

“Your little fanboy wouldn’t shut up about taking notes, so I took notes of my own. And if you don’t want One For All to die with you, you’ll hand it over and teach me how to use it. And once you do, I’ll give you this serum to let it pass through you harmlessly.”

“It’ll kill you the first time you use it. In the state you’re in, it’ll pop your head right off your body…I’ll teach you how to use it, but you’ll need to reshape your body first.”

“You’re not playing any games, are you?”

*“Of course not. My life is on the line here.”

“Tell me the secret of your Quirk, then.”

And so he did.

He told Shigaraki all about One For All. How he’d been born Quirkless and inherited the Quirk through Nana Shimura. How he had to practice and train for hours a day just to be able to safely use it and even then, when he first used it, he’d ached for days afterwards. If he hadn’t already bulked up so much, he could have been hurt by it.

And if Shigaraki was really so desperate to fight All For One that he’d team up with the one person he’d spent his entire life being brainwashed into wanting to kill, then All Might knew there was a chance that Shigaraki wasn’t as bad as he’d been made out to be. And he’d be sure to make it up to Nana for letting All For One get this far with her own grandson.

So All Might took him under his wing and trained him. Though he thought it would be best if the world assumed he was dead, so anyone who knew about One For All who wanted to take it for themselves wouldn’t go looking for it.

Maybe Dare wasn’t naive enough to believe All Might was really dead, but for the last ten years, he’d been able to live a relatively peaceful life. Even if he felt like a coward, having to watch as the villains took over Japan.

Not that Shigaraki hadn’t been able to get a handle on how to use it. In fact, he was able to use it pretty quickly. Spite was a very powerful motivator. He’d doubled his body weight and turned most of it into muscle, actually training and working hard to be some semblance of a hero. Even if he swore up and down that after he got his revenge, he’d use the power to take over Japan himself.

Despite all the work put into Shigaraki’s training, Dare was overqualified for the job of a villain.

He’d become such a good villain that most of Japan had been convinced he wasn’t a villain at all. At least those in the Light District didn’t have an issue. They seemed to actually enjoy him being in control over the city. Or they were too scared to stand up against the League.

The Sports Festival had been a turning point for everyone. Endeavor went missing, Bakugo had been turned traitor to UA, and Dare had turned the supposedly dead students into his own small army. Their Quirks and abilities had been given a boost. Strength, speed, even agility had all been modified to rival even All Might’s.

So not only was Dare a threat on his own, but he added Ashido, Sero, Kirishima, Kaminari, Jiro, and Mineta to his arsenal. Students who already had powerful Quirks, now matched with their unrivaled skill.

After Dare made his presence known at the Sports Festival, all of Japan became split over Hero Society. Those who decided that they felt safer on the side of the villains stayed in the lights. Tokoyami’s Quirk became too unstable once villains began running amok and knocking out power on one side of Japan in order to scare civilians with Dark Shadow. They wanted to get regular people scared of Quirks. That way people would lose trust in Pros and the students they were training to take their place. So those who did allied themselves where they felt safer.

Dare himself wasn’t an active villain. He was never seen in public, but he had the rest of the villains in Japan wrapped around his finger. With as much as he manipulated, All Might wouldn’t have been surprised if he had All For One. Shigaraki expected as much, as he’d revealed that was the plan for himself. It didn’t sit easy with All Might. If he was that great of a villain without a Quirk, how good was he with one?

Those who remained on the side of the Pros lived, admittedly weren’t thriving quite as much as the others were. They lived in constant darkness where Dark Shadow frequently terrorized them. But it was never anything they couldn’t handle. After a while, they came to see him as nothing more than an overly eager labradoodle. Plus, he was mostly active at night and everyone was asleep by then.

All in all, they were relatively happy. As happy as one can be with half of your home being run by villains. But they adjusted to life under his rule.

And it soon became normal and so for the last ten years, that’s how life had been. And with no Symbol of Peace, that’s all it would ever be.

Dare was mostly understanding of their misery. He was the most upset about All Might’s death. Especially since he’d been the one to take the blame for it. But his lackeys weren’t afraid to slit a few throats to keep the peace.

Of course it hadn’t come to that. Not since. Civilians were smart enough to not show that they would root for his downfall. Some had seen the green-haired boy land in the city and tried to divert attention away from that area by causing trouble.

They were quickly snuffed out by the street patrol. Stonewall and Amplivolt weren’t two villains you wanted to piss off.

In an unfortunate twist of fate, that was exactly what had rushed All Might back into the hideout. He’d seen commotion coming from the area and knew he had to hurry once he saw Queen and Furoshiki headed that way.

Which led him to where he was now. Sitting face-to-face with the boy who claimed to be his successor from another timeline. With the evidence to back it up. It was hard to argue with a face you’d seen talking to the people in your head.

If he really was on their side, maybe they stood a chance.

Notes:

I decided I'd try to work backwards in this AU. So we can see the end result and work our way to how it all happened. Hope you enjoy it so far. I'm not sure how I feel about how I'm going about telling the story, but once the three of them get reunited, it'll change.
