Chapter Text
Wednesday
Wednesdays were always a pain in the ass for Minji. First of all, it's literally the middle day of the week, and it's the worst day for classes in college. On wednesdays Minji had absolutely all of the classes she despised and with the worst professors also.
But despite that, she didn't actually wake up annoyed like she usually did. Once again, she was walking up happy because of the day before, I guess Hanni just had that effect on her. Like, even if they were barely interacting with each other, simply being close and exchanging a few words with her girlfriend was more than enough for Minji.
She got up from her bed and stretched, like she did every morning. After that, she went to the bathroom to do her morning routine. Minji then changed her clothes, ate her breakfest and was on her way to college.
Her walk to campus was calm, it always was. There were a lot of trees on the way, making the route very pleasant and pretty to watch.
Like everyday, Minji arrived on college some time before classes started, but this time, she made a different thing. Instead of going straight to her locked to get her stuff, the girl quickly went to Hanni's locker and discreetly put a note inside, leaving swiftly before anyone noticed.
After that, she finally went to greet Haerin who was already on her locker, which was right next to Minji's.
– What's up Rin? – The cat-eyed girl turned to her.
– Hey Min, how are you? – She turned back to her locker and continued organizing her stuff.
– Oh I'm good, very good actually – Minji said with a smirk.
Haerin looked at her suspiciously. Minji was using that tone she only used when she was up to something, and that smirk... Haerin knew that all too well.
– Minji, what did you do this time? – She went straight to the point. Minji looked at her faking a surprised expression.
– Me?! I didn't do anything, don't know what you're talking about – Minji said still looking at her locker.
– Don't fucking lie to me, Kim, I've known you for YEARS, I know very well when you're up to no good, okay? – This made Minji laugh a little, Haerin did know just how to read the older girl.
– Alright, I did do something, okay? But don't worry it's nothing big or anything, just trying to win my girl back – Haerin looked at her with squinted eyes as if she was searching for something, any sign.
– Would tou stop looking at me like that? Really Rin, I'm telling you, it's nothing to be worried about – Minji said truthfully.
Her bestfriend knew when Minji was lying, but she also knew when she was telling the truth, and she could see truth in Minji's words right now, so she finally let it go.
– Okay... but I'll still be watching you closely Kim Minji, very very closely. – Minji kinda got goosebumps because of that, Haerin was fucking scary when she wanted to.
– Alright ma'am, promise I'll behave – Minji made a soldier salutation making the younger smile and roll her eyes.
–––––
Hanni was having a very peaceful day – way too peaceful for her concern – and she was just trying to enjoy every moment of it. Minji hadn't made anything today. She didn't try to approach her, didn't send her any texts, she barely even looked at the girl. Not that Hanni wanted her to do any of those things, but you know, it was a little weird.
But despite that, the girl was really just trying to make the most of her day. Hanni had woken up in a good mood today, and she didn't actually know the reason – okay, maybe she did, but she didn't want to admit that.
Hanni spent the morning paying the most attention possible to her classes, chatting with Danielle and reading a bit when she could. When Hanni read, she inevitably thought of Minji. The two absolutely loved reading and everytime they could, they went on library dates just to read good books by each other's side, cuddling until they wanted to go home. Hanni missed that. But she was mad at Minji! The girl couldn't let her feelings get the best of her, she had to remain strong.
After all classes were over and it was finally time to go, Hanni went to her locker to organize her things, but when she opened it, there was a note inside.
She picked up the note, it was written on a blue post-it and it said "meet me at the rooftop, i have something to show you ;)".
Hanni immediately knew who it was from. She could recognize that handwriting anytime, Minji was at it again. Deep down, Hanni felt a little happy – maybe more than little – because of that. It meant Minji didn't give up, and was actually determined to win Hanni back.
She had to admit, she considered for a while if she should go there, but she already knew the answer. How could you say no to Kim Minji?
Hanni waited a bit for some people to leave college before she started going up the stairs that led to the rooftop.
–––––
To say Minji was nervous was an understatement. The girl was literally shaking of anticipation, a Million thoughts running through her head. Was Hanni really coming? Did she even see the note? What if she saw it, but decided to just ignore it and throw it away?
But before Minji's mind could torture her more, the door of the rooftop slowly opened, catching the girl's attention. Her mind immediately shut down, her toughts all silenced as she saw Hanni appearing by the door.
As soon as Hanni saw what was on the other side of the door, she was speechless. Minji had prepared a whole ass picnic and was standing there with a box of chocolates in her hands. She knew How much Hanni loved chocolate, it was a low blow.
Minji smiled to the girl that was still frozen on the same spot, looking at Minji with a surprised expression.
– So... surprise! – Minji said making a celebration movement with her hands. That seemed to snap Hanni out of her trance.
– Minji you... what is this? – The girl asked with genuine curiosity, walking closer to her girlfriend.
– It's for you – Minji answered looking around at everything she had organized exclusively for the girl in front of her. – I don't know, I really just wanted to make something nice for us because I know that even if you're still kinda mad at me, things like this always make you feel a bit more relaxed, and I noticed that you've been a little stressed this week, so...
Hanni was shocked. She wasn't even talking to Minji, she's been acting distant towards the girl for almost a whole week now, and still, Minji was attentive enough to see that Hanni's been stressed with stuff. Really, she couldn't ask for a better person. Despite wanting to simply forgive her so, so much, Hanni had a big stupid pride that just wouldn't let her. But still, she wanted to enjoy this time with Minji, even if they didn't act like girlfriends throughout the picnic. Hanni needed that.
Silently, Hanni sat down on the towel that Minji had placed on the floor, looking up at the girl and waiting for her to do the same.
It was Minji's turn to stand there frozen in place, processing. "Did Hanni really just accept the picnic like that? Without saying anything or trying to fight back?" But once again, before Minji's thoughts started their torture, Hanni pulled her out of her own head.
– Uh... Minji? Are you gonna just stand there, or...? – After hearing those words, Minji shook her head and sat down across from her girlfriend.
– Yeah, yeah, sure! Sorry, I was just overthinking a bit – Hanni gave a weak smile. She knew how the girl's mind worked, and she always tried to be the most understanding with it.
Hanni started to eat the food Minji prepared. It was two ramen cup noodles, a cheese flavored one for Minji and a seafood one for Hanni. Both still very hot as Minji had just boiled them.
The couple started to eat in silence, the two just enjoying each other's company. The view from the college's rooftop was beautiful. It's the main reason why this was the comfort spot for Minji and Hanni, they could never get enough from that blue cloudy sky which looked like a painting.
– Sooo... are you not mad at me anymore? – Minji suddenly asked with a careful tone.
Hanni smiled still looking at the scenery.
– Oh I am still mad at you – She started. The other girl was about to say something, but Hanni continued before she could. – But... not as much as before, actually.
– Oh... – Minji was kind of surprised with that response.
Hanni just lightly laughed at the girl across from her. That was such a Minji thing to do.
The rest of the picnic was quiet, none of them had anything to say, altough they didn't really need to. It was enough for them both just being together with the other one.
After she finished eating, Hanni got up, making her way to Minji who just observed her.
– You know what, Minji? – She said bending down to be face to face with her girlfriend – I like what you've been doing these days. It honestly feels like falling in love all over again. So keep doing this, and I think I'll forgive you completely sooner than expected.
Hanni finished giving Minji a long kiss on the cheek, and a quick peck on the lips, turning around and going trough the door, leaving the other girl with wide eyes and a surprised face that soon turned into a lovesick expression.
This time, Hanni was the one that left with a smile on her face, proud of herself.
