FINAL ZONE
2D ANIMATED. EGGBASE INSIDE - NIGHT
Amy shuffles Metal's body into a parts room, and places him on the bench.
AMY ROSE
I'm so sorry.
She digs around a bit, pushing something like a pillow under his head, and finds a mini fixer-bot.
AMY ROSE
Oh, this one's cute! I wonder if it’ll help?
Behind her, something bangs and a roar takes over: the whole world starts to become weird, like a Special Zone.
AMY ROSE
Oh my god, this must be the weird stuff Sonic and Knuckles were talking about!
Metal, you have to wake up! You'll float off, and who knows where you'll be!
FZ ACT 1. SINISTER ZONE - ???
AMY ROSE: Protect Metal Sonic!
POST-FZ ACT 1. SINISTER ZONE - ???
Amy is carrying Metal over her shoulder when his exposed wires shock him awake and zap her, and she shrieks.
AMY ROSE
Ow! What was that?
As she's distracted, a spinning star collides with them, and she takes the brunt of the hit, flying off course, and hitting her head.
AMY ROSE
Oooh, that hurts. Am I seeing stars, or am I SEEING them?
Metal Sonic drags himself upright, and shakes his head in wonder. He spots Amy drifting off and dishevelled, and charges for her.
FZ ACT 2. SINISTER ZONE - ???
METAL SONIC: Protect Amy Rose!
POST-FZ ACT 2. SINISTER ZONE - ???
AMY ROSE
M-metal? You came back for me! That's so kind!
SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (Shouting)
Amy? You there? If you're in the Sinister Zone, can you come lend a hand?
Amy looks to Metal Sonic, and he nods.
AMY ROSE
We're on our way!
FZ BOSS. SINISTER ZONE - ???
EVERYONE: Defeat the Master Emerald!
STILLS AND PAINTED - FZ END
The Sinister Zone retreats into the Master Emerald, and the Chaos Emeralds spin around it in a kind of hug.
Now on the wreck of the Eggbase, all the teams see each other from across the hole the emerald made.
Amy Rose rushes around hugging all her friends, but when she looks for Metal Sonic, he's gone.
She runs back into the Eggbase hull, and finds him picking up Doctor Eggman.
Metal braces, ready to defend him, but she holds her hands up.
AMY ROSE
It's okay, I know you have to.
I just wanted to say thanks for helping me, and I'm sorry I hurt you!
She gives him a big hug, inadvertently squeezing his neck. His face display shifts and spurts, and he doesn't move straight away, but eventually pats her back awkwardly.
DOCTOR EGGMAN
Ah! A Hedgehog! Metal, get rid of it!
Eggman is dazed, and cowers behind Metal. Amy jumps backwards.
AMY ROSE
I'm going, I'm going!
Thanks for the party, Eggman, sorry we're not staying to clean up!
Bye Metal, see you soon!
She runs to the door, but Eggman has snapped it closed. He starts to laugh evilly, but she simply smashes right through it.
DOCTOR EGGMAN
Metal! Why didn't you stop her!
Metal watches her run through the new hole in the wall, and waves.
