'' WAKEY WAKEY LOVEBIRDS CMON '' The driver shouted playfully
'' GAH OH SHIT '' Charlie woke up rather unpleasently, accidently elbowing Wilbur on the head
'' OW WHAT THE FUCK '' Wil screamed
'' Get outta the carrrRRR, you can get a room in there '' The driver chuckled
'' Ugh...thanks man '' Charlie muttered through gritted teeth as he helped Wilbur out of the car, his hands felt soft against Wilbur, making his face warmer and his stomach tie itself in knots
The taxi drove away as Char lead Wilbur up the stairs to his flat. He didn't expect to be bringing home his drunk friend tonight, but at least it wasn't a prostitute...he shuddered at that thought. The stairs felt longer now that he had a barely concous man almost an entire foot taller than him to carry up them. (How ironic-🥨) Finally he reached the top and unlocked the door to his shitty flat.
'' It's not much but it's home '' He spoke warmly, laying Wilbur down on the couch.
'' Wait...can you stay ? '' Wilbur asked just as Charlie was going through to another room.
'' I'll be right back I'm just getting you a blanket, is that okay ? '' Charlies tone was sweet and caring
Wilbur groaned a hesitant okay and laid in the fetal position until Charlie got back.
'' Do you want fluffy or like duvet kinda style ? '' Charlie shouted, but only half raising his voice
'' You...hngh fluffy '' Wilbur groaned again, his face flushing red again after his first response
Charlie was stunned by his answer, but in a good way. His face also a deep shade of crimson, attempting to hide it with the blanket he brought out
'' Uh- Here- I- Here you go- '' He quickly blurted out, throwing the blanket atop of Will.
Upon it landing on Wilburs face, he scrambled to quickly sort it out and get comfy.
'' Uhm so...I heard what you uh said before the fluffy thing '' Charlie knocked his knuckles together, bouncing on the balls of his feet nervously
'' I-I'm not thinking straight it's nothing I'm sorry '' Will said, his tone sounding genuinly upset that he'd have to lie about his feelings for a close friend.
'' Oh...so I guess not then...whatever I'm-... '' Charlie sighed '' It's okay ''
Will had no idea how much he needed to hear those words, and began to sob loudly again, this time unnable to hide it.
Charlies expression stayed understanding and caring, as he got on the couch and big spooned Will.
'' You're gonna be okay '' Charlie whispered soothingly into Wilburs ear, giving him a soft kiss on the cheek.
Wilburs crying only got louder, he balled himself up more, as Charlie kept him in that warm embrace that he'd yearned for all these years. Charlie attempted to wipe Wills tears yet to no avail. It was a good hour and a half of cuddles and assuring words that Will calmed down enough to get a few words out.
'' I love you... '' He hiccuped, grabbing on to Charlies arms that hold him dearly.
'' I love you too Wilbur.. '' Charlie gave a loving grin and kissed Wilburs cheek again.
As the 2 lay on the couch, in silence in that loving embrace, they fell asleep. Their dreams reflected
the love they shared between them. Charlie finding himself messing with Wilburs dark brown curls and Will burying his face into Charlies arms. They had never felt so comfortable.
