Chapter Text
Amity walked into her father's workshop. "Father? I'm home?" She shouted to which her father stood up covered in oil and abomination goo. "That's it I give up!" Alador shouted as he angerly walked away from his abomoton. "I'm never going to get it to work!" He Bagan to leave his lab. Concerned Amity followed him. "But dad! You have to finish it, the fair is tomorrow and I know you wanna beat Darius." Amity told her father. She knew he wanted more than anything to beat Darius at the fair. Alador stopped in his tracks. "Thank you Amity I needed that." He said sternly as he began to march back into his workshop.
Amity followed him as they arrived at his workshop and he slid under the abomoton and continued to work on it. "Uh Amity can you pass my the... oh what's it call?" Alador asked as Amity handed him an oddly shaped wrench. "Hey dad, I have a question," Amity began as her father tinkered away "hm what is it?" "Do you think I'm odd?" Amity asked nervously. Alador shot up and in the process hi his head on the abomoton. "Cmon now Mittens why would you think that?" He then began to go back to working still listening. "I don't know. I guess people here don't really talk to me much," Amity confessed.
Alador stood up and moved to a control panel on the back of the machine. "What about that girl umm Boscha? She talks to you," Alador asked. Amity laughed "As if! She's rude and mean and way to obsessed with grudgby."
Alador shrugged me forever he flipped a switch and the abomoton started up. Amity gasped in shock of the machine. Alador then gave it the command, "Abomoton: lie down" the machine then got onto the ground. "Abomoton: stand" as Alador gave out more and more commands the machine responded correctly. Alador then flipped a switch to shut it off before jumping up and down. "It works it actually works! Take that Darius!" He exclaimed as he jumped with joy.
He then began to pack up the abomoton so he could make it to the fair tomorrow. "Now Amity," He said to her just as he was about to leave, "are you sure you'll be okay?" Amity rolled her eyes and sighed. "Yes I'll be fine," "You know what to do if your mother comes?" Alador asks as he loads the cart. "Yes yes shut the lights and pretend I'm nit home, now go before you're late!"
Alador waves goodbye to Amity and leaves for the fair.
