Chapter Text
Luka: Good Night Adrien.
Adrien sat on his bed, staring at the text message from Luka. He barely even slept! He rushed to get ready for school as his Kwami, Plagg, appeared to give his "words of wisdom". "Why are you freaking out over a simple text? He said good night. Everyone says good night?" "It's not that simple Plagg...I don't even understand it." He says as he pulls on his jacket. "It's just, something about him makes me wanna smile uncontrollably." "What happened to your crush on Ladybug? Don't you still like her?" "I..I do!! I..at least I think I do...Ugh! It's too early in the morning. We gotta go." He huffs as he walks out to the car, wanting to hopefully forget about this feeling.
As he walks up the steps to the school, his best friend, Nino, appears and gives him a side hug. "Hey dude! How was your weekend?" Adrien sighed, not wanting to show his tiredness. He smiled warmly and looked at Nino. "It was great. Father had me inside all weekend again, though I was able to hang out with a friend." Nino tilts his head. "Oh? Who?" he said. Even though Nino was a bit jealous that it wasn't him, he's still glad Adrien can consider more people as his friends. "Luka, actually. And hanging out with him was pretty chill." He smiles and sighs. Nino notices the change in Adrien's voice and smirks slightly. "What did you two end up doing? If you don't mind my asking." Even though Nino didn't want to assume, he can tell when someone makes his best friend happy. Adrien buffered for a bit. "Uh...We hung out at the Louvre and uh he walked me home." He blushed slightly. Nino noticed this small thing again. He smiled and patted his back. "Nice. I'm glad your old man is letting you out more!!" Adrien smiles and nods. "Uh...lets get to class...?" Nino nods and walks with Adrien to class.
On their way, they bump into Marinette and Alya. Nino hugs his girlfriend, walking with her. Adrien glances at Marinette and sighs. "So...uh..." Marinette looks over with a nervous smile. "Y-yes?" Adrien chuckles softly, seeing that Marinette is still somewhat nervous. "I uh...Have a favor? I guess? More of a question...and I don't know who else to ask...?" He stumbles out. Marinette sighs and nods, texting someone. She puts her phone away and smiles. "Go ahead!"
After their first classes, it's now lunch time. Adrien sneaks away from his bodyguard, seeing as how he can't eat in the cafeteria. He pulls out his phone and texts Marinette.
Me: Hey, I'm at your bakery.
Marinette: Okay! On my way. Sorry, Al's being a bit suspicious heh...
Me: No worries!
He walks into the bakery, greeting Marinette's mom and dad. They both almost bombard him with questions. Before they're able to question him more, Marinette walks in. "Mom! Dad! What did we talk about!" She walks over to Adrien, pushing him up to her room. They can hear the apologies from her parents.
Once they're up in Marinette's room, they both sit down, this time, Adrien being the nervous one. "Okay...whats up?" Marinette says, calmly. "I...think I have a...crush? On uh...a friend..? But I...I don't know. I'm not sure if this is what....if I do like them like...like that. I uh...I don't know.." Marinette smiles. "Well...tell me about them. You don't have to say who they are, I won't force you to tell me if you don't want to." Adrien sighs. "Well...we..hung out the other day....and it was nice. But..it..felt different from hanging out with Nino and Alya, and You. They were...really nice and understanding....they even walked me home when my father messaged me back..." Adrien blushed, smiling softly at the memory. "We..uh..apparently already had each others numbers...so...Uhm. I helped hi-THEM uh I helped them calm down and let out some stresses...a-and uh...they sent me a good night message and I uh may have complimented their outfit..." At this point, Adrien is very red. He hides his face in his hands. "I'm...in love with him...aren't I?" Marinette smiles. "I think you could be. Only way to tell is to keep hanging out with them." He looks up at her. "I'm not sure I can....I think...I think I'd be too embarrassed to hangout..." Marinette smiles again. "It might seem impossible, but you can do this...After all...its much easier the more you talk to your person. It was hard the first time I tried to hangout with my partner. And it was embarrassing and we had a few laughs....but it was worth it. I promise." Adrien smiles up at Marinette. "Thank you so much. We should...probably head back to school now.."
Luka: hey, I think you're still at school, but would you be able to hangout afterwards? No pressure or worries if you can't, just think it'll be fun.
Adrien sat in class staring at his phone. He was trying so hard not to show a reaction. He glanced over his shoulder, noticing that Nino is sitting next to Alya today, meaning Marinette is sitting next to him. He looked over at Marinette, who was focusing on the homework. He gently tapped her shoulder and waited for her to respond. She looked over with a question look on her face. "They just texted me and want to hangout after school...what do I do??" He whispered. Marinette giggled quietly. "You respond. Do you wanna hangout?" She questioned quietly. He nodded sheepishly. "Then tell them that." She smiles. Adrien nods and does as told, happy he can trust Marinette.
Me: I would love you
Me: I MEAN I WOULD LOVE TO
Me: My autocorrect hates me TwT
Luka: That's alright. And Great. See you after school, Cutie.
Adrien hides his phone and his face, feeling it getting hot. Marinette glances over and smiles. "What happened?" She whispered. "I accidentally typed "I would love you" instead of "love to"......and they called me cute..." Adrien lays his head on the table. Marinette giggles quietly. "Its okay. You'll do that sometimes."
The school day ended and Adrien made up an excuse for his bodyguard and Nathalie to leave.
Me: On my way, you're at yours...right?
Luka: Yeah. Ill be waiting.
Luka: Sorry...that sounds weird...
Me: You're fine, I understand ! ^^
Adrien puts his phone away and made it to Luka's boat. He greeted Juleka and their mom before Luka appears. "Hey. This way." He smiles, leading Adrien to his room. Adrien follows happily, happy to hangout with Luka again.
"You can set your bag down on the floor." Luka says, sitting on his bed. "Right." Adrien smiles and does so, sitting next to Luka once he's done. "So...what are we doing again?" Adrien says with a nervous smile on his face. "I just wanted to hangout with you...I didn't really have a plan." He chuckles softly. Adrien can feel his face getting hotter and he looks away from the beauty beside him. "Ah...maybe we can watch something then..? I'm okay with whatever.." Luka smiles and looks at Adrien. "What a wonderful idea. Here, you set it up, and I'll get us some snacks. You're not allergic to anything...right?" Adrien shakes his head. Luka nods and leaves, getting the snacks.
Halfway through the movie, Adrien feels himself getting tired. Without thinking much about it, he lays his head on Luka's shoulder. He felt at peace and comfortable. Luka glanced over and smiles. He could tell Adrien was about to fall asleep. Good thing they were practically laying down. Adrien mumbled something, but Luka couldn't make it out. "It's okay, you can sleep." he whispered, in response. Adrien sighed softly, relaxing more. It doesn't take long for Adrien to fall asleep.
Two hours later, Adrien wakes up. He slowly rubs his eyes to get the sleepiness out of his eyes. Before he sits up, he notices soft breathing from under him. It takes a minute for him to process this, and when he does, he gasps quietly. "Luka..." He whispers to himself. He smiles and blushes. "I'm...really happy when I hang out with you....I think I...I think I like-like you...? I'm not sure though....but I really really like being around you and you're...so awesome...I...wish I could tell you this.." He mumbles quietly to himself. He sighs and closes his eyes. "Well...you kind of just did..?" Adrien stops and slowly looks over. "I..I....What did you hear?" Adrien whispers worriedly. Luka sighs softly. "All of it...?" He whispered back. Adrien hides his face in his hands. "I just confessed without meaning to..." Luka smiles softly. "If it...makes you feel better...I uh...I like you too. Like-like you." He blushes slightly and props himself up on his elbows to get a better look at Adrien. Adrien blushes and makes an embarrassed noise. They sit like that for a bit, trying to calm down from the sudden confessions. Adrien looks over. "Do you really like me?" Luka has his kind smile on, the one that makes literally everyone melt. "Yes. I do. I do like you."
