Chapter 2: ruh ro

Summary:

"So Gwen the basics are," Bridgette begins talking but she can't seem to focus on any of it, all she can focus on is the way the piercing eyes watch over the freckled blonde girl. What does he want?

She really can't deal with another Geoff or even an Alejandro too. She recalls the times Bridgette would spoon for the simplest things they would do. It pained her because anyone could do that.

She could do that.

Chapter Text

Soft sounds come out of young girls small plush lips as her chest rises and falls with the rhythm of the hotel's fan. Her face rests in a peaceful manner just as the girl is. The goth admires the blonde girl presence quietly from the silk sheets.

She wants to take a picture but that sounds like something Sierra would do...and she doesn't want to look like a total creep. So she spares her glances as she, as well tries to sleep. Heaviness hits her eyes after a while of complete tossing and turning, with maybe a hint of her melatonin gummies, that she doesn't want to admit that she uses.

Her consciousness slowly but surely, slips away as she snuggles closer to the surfer.

Bridgette opens her eyes slowly taking in the sunrise that shines over her. She stretches as the hotel bed was definitely not the comfiest. Pop! Oh that one felt good. A lump piece of blanket burrows into her side. Polaroid! She needs to grab it right now. This is truly one of Gwen's rarest forms and she needs to act quick...She laughs as she realizes the way it makes Gwen sound like a big monster.

Snap!

A groan comes out of the tiny cocoon as the ladder goes to peak her head out as she makes an annoyed face.

"I'm sorry I just had to!" Bridgette pets the teal frizzy unkempt hair.

Gwen sticks out her tongue before announcing that she's going downstairs to get them breakfast while Bridgette gets ready.

She finally finishes putting on her wetsuit as she makes her way over to sit next to her tiresome friend, she plops down with a huff as she grabs her plate.

She hums excitingly as she hasn't had good food in 24 hours.

"I will never miss airport food whether it be on a tv show or in real life." Gwen blurts out with disgust.

Bridgette still remembers the sludge that was so called food. She shivers as she remembers the time she found an alive cockroach bathing in her 'mash potato surprise.'

"You can say that again." Bridgette says with a short chuckle.

They finish eating there food as they plan out the day ahead of them.

"Can we please please, go to the beach today! I need to teach you everything!" She clasps the pale girls rough hands.

Gwen slouches her shoulders before giving in, "Fine, but only for a little bit, okay?"

She beams at the other girls response before leaning into her shoulder, "You're not going to regret this!"

She swears she hears the other girl mumble something under her breath but it's fine! At least Gwen's opening up  to new ideas!

They make they're leave into a Uber. She really needs to remember to rent bikes here...but hey beach day!

Gwen shuffles through the pages of  a random book she got at the airport as she watches over the ocean line. Bridgette is currently waxing her surfboard as she chats up with another surfer that occupy the sandy shores. She bites her lip in concentration, as she tries to make out what they're saying.

She spots Bridgette with a forming wide grin as the high surfer makes a joke or something like that. She feels a course of envy go through her, but why? She must be worried for her or something. She tells herself it's nothing as she gets up.

"Hey Bridgette you almost done?" She puts her hand on the others shoulder.

"Mhm," she turns over to the guy, "it's her first time surfing."

Said guy looks her up and down. Which first of all ick and second of all, who does this guy think he is? He gives her a lopsided grin while his piercing green eyes look into her own.

That condescending smirk...reminds her to much of a certain someone she was with for a short while.

He holds his hand out waiting for her to shake it, "Sick, first time always an awesome experience, you know what I mean?"

She just slowly nods with an awkward smile before accepting his handshake.

Bridgette looks between the two with a weary expression worn.

A warmth hits her hip as she spins to attack the suspect, but she realizes it's just Bridgette before she can do any damage.

A startled sound comes out of Bridgette's throat as she backs away a few feet, "Sorry you nodded so I thought it was okay."

She holds out her hands in confusion as she waits for an answer from the other.

"I was just trying to show you the way you want to position your legs," The girl clarifies.

Oh right. She forgot what they were currently doing. "Oh, yea no go for it."

Bridgette hums an okay before slowly approaching once again. She moves her soft hand over her waistline as she puts the other one to her knee to make it bend in a certain way. Bridgette's explaining something but she really can't focus as warmth fills her whole body as the girl continues to slide her hands around her waist and thighs.

"You have really nice legs." Bridgette says with a flushed smile as she looks up at a red Gwen.

She just responses with an acknowledging hum as she try's to distract herself from the others stare. Her throat all of sudden seems dried up all of its words.

The other girl seems to have gotten the result she wants as she claps her hand and begins to talk, "Okay there you go. You just want to stay in this position most of the time, even if it's uncomfortable."

She was right this was crazy uncomfortable and she couldn't tell if it's from the way her body is bent or the way she can feel her heart about to beat out of her chest.

She quickly forgets it though as Bridgette carries her out to the waves

Okay! She wasn't the best, but it's okay. Nobody's a Olympic winner the first time they try something. She feels her grin get wider as she cheers Gwen on. She finally nudged a wave a little. She feels like a mother hen watching her chicken fly out the coop, okay not the best comparison but that's okay!

Gwen smiles back at her with a thumbs up as the wave levels out. Her skin contrasts with the bright sun behind her making her look like a glowing angel. She blushes a little at the idea, but hides it quickly. This can't be happening. It's not because why would this randomly be happening to her. Look at her she's dated men! She can't be a attracted to that beautifu- Gwen out there.

She nimbles at her lips suddenly becoming uncharacteristically scared. She hasn't felt this way since the doomed show that was total drama.

She hears a deep voice come from behind her, "You good bae?"

Oh it's just the surfer from earlier...Oh it's just the surfer from earlier! Why was she disappointed that it wasn't Gwen?!

"Yea I'm fine, just waiting for when Gwen says she's done." She replies with a weak smile.

"Hmm. Well if you're good I was wondering if you wanted to maybe come to this party I'm hosting tomorrow." He replies holding up his phone to try and exchange numbers.

She glances over to a...worried Gwen? She turns back to him because flashing him a quick smile.

She thinks before finally answering, "Yea why not."
