Chapter Text
"Here."
Eriri looked up from her sketches, catching her colleague Utaha flipping her hair and walk away. A moment later, she noticed a lump of cloth that had been dumped onto her desk's corner, and squinted at it.
"And what's this supposed to be?", she asked suspiciously, prodding it with the end of her sketching pencil.
"Your eyes will burn out if you don't rest them. Such a thing would be simply irritating to have to deal with, so I bought you a present to help." Utaha flipped her hair again, like she was trying to make a habit of it.
"This doesn't look like carrot tea." Eriri looked down again, and poked it; aha, there was something like a loop of felt, and lifting it up made it fall into shape. "...You got me a blindfold?"
"Your eyes spent far too much time squinting at a page from up close. It will do you good to, when you take breaks, to use these as well." Utaha took a sip of water as an excuse for her dramatic, witty pause. "As long as you can deal with your snoring problem."
Eriri's eye twitched, taking the bait. "Hey, since when do you know that I snore?" She absently lifted the blindfold on the end of her pen, starting to twirl it around like a yo-yo, finding it oddly amusing. "And, even further, if you'd looked up anything about artist health, you'd know that finger pain and repetitive strain injuries are far more problematic than eye health."
Utaha placed a hand before her face, fluttering her eyelashes. "O-oh, my, Miss Sawamura Spencer... to imply that I am most interested in your finger dexterity, you are most bold..."
"Huh? I don't understand what you';re - hey, hold on, what kind of ripoff did they sell you?", Eriri cut off, noticing the blindfold fall off the back of her pencil. THe back had come open, and it looked like that instead of a perfectly reasonable strap, it was instead comprised of three different threads, all of which were intended to be tied together behind the head. Fascinated by the terrible design, she lifted it up and over her eyes, trying to fiddle and fumble the thin strings together. "How is this supposed to work?"
"Ah, let me show you." Within moments, Utaha was in front of her and leaning over. Eriri felt glad for a moment that she didn't have to stare into her eyes from up close as the blindfold went on, and Utaha's fingers were brushing against the back of her head. "Now, do you not feel like a lady having her corset be fastened? ...Hold still."
"You're missing a maid outfit for that," she teased back, and felt Utaha sit on her lap along with a huff of frustration as a string pair loosened itself. "Wow, they really tricked you at the pharmacy when you got this, didn't they?"
Utaha grunted and tied another set of strings together, and though Eriri couldn't see it, she could imagine Utaha's face inches away and scowling with irritation that this was taking this much time. "If a maid outfit is what you want, that can be arranged..."
The sound of the door opening cut her off. Eriri turned her head, making the poorly-tied blindfold slip down enough to show Tomoya and Megumi standing in the entryway; Tomoya hastily whipping up a hand to cover Megumi's eyes. It was only at that point that she realised that Utaha was straddling her lap, and leaning in very close to her while tying a blindfold around her face, and Utaha was just now realising that very same thing, as both of their faces exploded into blushes simultaneously.
Megumi stood on tiptoe to peek over Tomoya's hand, and reached out to take the door handle. "Well now, Tomoya, I think we should leave them to their time alone together, yes?"
"Learn to do these things in priva-!" And then the door closing shut his cry off, leaving the two of them to slowly look at each other.
...
"...So, the maid outfit?"
"What's your problem, you kinky pervert?!"
