Chapter Text
Oh to be, before the end
Looking back on where I’ve been
There is no story left to tell
I’m sorry to my Lady
If I could do it all again
The chance I had to call you friend
I need it now
I love you so
My lady, my light, my fire, my sword
When you come back and think of me
…will you even think of me?
I’ll dream of you.
Your happiness.
I’m sorry to my light
If I could do it all again
And say the things inside my head
You need me now
I love you so
My lady, my light, my fire, my sword
That smile that you gave to me
Before I knew what it could mean
Your words were true beneath
Your lies
I’m sorry, I’m sorry
My fire
If I could do it all again
I’d tell you that you should have ran
You know it’s true
I love you so
My lady, my light, my fire, my sword
You always chose love
You always chose war
I knew not what I saved you for
I’m sorry, ah, my sword
If I could do it all again
(I wouldn’t do it all again)
I cannot say
The Watcher speaks
My lady, my light, my fire, my sword
Close the page on a story yet to be told. A melody of golden skies… Now return to the beginning.
As she looks above from a rooftop, our hero begins to come into focus. Blonde hair and soft brown eyes that do not shine right in the light of day.
Before she arrived, it was already doomed to tragedy.
In the distance a haggard man looks up at the sky, while the broken friends he left behind sit together in an apartment trying not to say his name.
The sky is grey, today, and beneath her, a monster and a traitor sits in his room, laughing something horrible but shaking, too. Perhaps there is a terrible weight on his shoulders, or perhaps he is simply deranged.
On another roof, a man grins, happily scrolling to find the next monster that might bring him answers.
The blonde’s pale hands clutch a simple notebook like a lifeline. For now, it is empty, but she dreams of words that flow together. Human words. Is she brave enough to begin?
Arise… rise…
Rise…
Unnatural eyes harden.
The Beginning.
