“SLYTHERIN!”
slytherin.slytherin.slythrin.
the house her mother went to.the pure blood house.the evil house.
now her home.her house.her family.
y/n couldnt decide what she thought.she didnt assume to go to slytherin,maybe hufflepuff or ravenclaw.and at the same time she assumed she would go there．
as she stood up,she slowly observed the great hall.from her earlier anxiety,she didnt have time to properly appreciate it.as her mother said,the ceilings were beautiful.
as y/n strode toward the green and silver table,she could,again,feel everyone staring at her.she kept her head up,careful not to look down.finally reaching the slytherin table,she sat in one of the only seats,around some kids looking around y/ns age.
”hello.”y/n speaks up.she was almost shaking from nervousness and anticipation.
”hello”the girl who was sitting next to her said.she had a rather sharp face and dark red lips.
”pansy parkinson.and who may you be?”she asks,in a rather bossy voice.
”y/n.y/n greengrass.”y/n says.
”greengrass?are you pureblood then?”a white blonde boy sitting across asked.he seemed at ease,propping his face up by his hands.it was a rather pretty face.
”yes,i am.i an a new student.”y/n explains for the third time today.
”new?”the blonde boy goes on”thats…diffrent.”
”well you must be special!”pansy says.she seems rather excited to have a new student.
”i was just about getting bored of you lot.”she continued,causing the boy sitting next to her to groan,through not look over.
“what?its true.anyway,welcome to slytherin.”pansy says,turning toward y/n and offering her hand.
”the best house”she says(ina cocky manner)as you shake her hand.
“thank you.”you reply,trying to be polite.
you turn back towards the front table,where the teachers sat.she could see the hooked nosed teacher and the bestacled teacher,a rather(really)short proffesor,a rather ragged looking teacher,and many others.in the center,she could clearly see,was the legandary wizard,albus dumbledore.
with waist length white hair and halfmoon glasses,he ceratainly looks wise.the air around him seems to be powerful,magical almost.you gaze with awe,as you slowly start taking in what he is talking about.
”the transfiguration master;ms mcgonagall,the potions master;professor snape;the defense again the dark arts teacher;remus lupin,the herbology proffesor;ms sprout,charms teacher;proffesor fliwick,the care of magical creatures teacher;rebus hagrid,history of magic:proffesor binns-“he continud until”and mr filch,the janitor,who has posted a list of forbidden items in front of his office”
the janitor looks rather terrifying,you should be careful.you begin remembering the teachers,matching face to name.you were rather excited,through you have done all the subjects that dumbledore mentioned,you had never done them in a class before.you started zoning out again,thinking about classes and education.
“-other matters can wait,now everyone should be watered and fed!”as dumbledore claps his hands,food appears on the long house tables.wondering how it works,you look around making sure you arent being rude,observing if thee seems to be special tradition.as everyone just seems to be eating,you fill your plate with same mashed potato and vegetables,as you do not like meat when you can help it.it seemsnrather cruel to eat animals.through at home,especially at events,or fancy dinners,it was important to eat everything on your plate,and not be picking.you pick at your food,still distracted by the halls magnificence and the queasiness in your stomach.everyone seems to be eating and chatting,and the air seems to be filled with a joyous melody.still paralized,you begin slowly eating your food,despite lack if appetite.the main disseapears,leaving dessert,where you politely take a piece of apple pie.as slowly even the dessert dissapears,everyone seems to have eaten(more then)their fill.as everyone turns towards dumbledore once more,you start fidgeting.
”now you have all eaten,just a few more words.first years should all note that the forest is forbidden to all.and a few of out older need reminding to.”he begins,eyes twinkling.his voice almost seems to make the great hall quiet.
”as you have been reminded by mr filch,there is no magic allowed in the corridores.quidditch trails will be held in the second week of term,anyone interested should contact madam hooch.”a spiky haired woman smiles.
quiddich.to be honest,brooms seem to be one of theonly things that you cannot master.
”and now,before we go to bed,let us sing the school song!“dumbledoor called.

everyone was singing,and it was rather chaotic,butit was beautiful.
”ah,music.a magic beyond all we do here!and now,bedtime.off you trot!”dumbledore said.he didnt shout,but his voice seemed to reach everyones ears.
i ask the girl sitting next tome,pansy,
”well what do you think i should do?”
”well just follow me.”she says with a smile.at first,she looked rather scary-looking,but she was acting very friendly.you follow her,and everyone else also is departing from the house tables.you follow her,and you end up in the dungeons.
”basilisk!”pansy says,and we stand in front of a bare stone wall,confused you turn to her,but just as youdo,the stone wall parts,revealing a green and silver room.it seemsit requires a password．it looked very elegant.you walkind in,entranced.y/n had always liked the color green,it suited her.
”pansy,this is amazing”you say,and you mean it.this is going to be your new home.
”i know”she says,smirking.
”which grade are you in?”she asks.
”5-th.”
”oh.well im in fifth grade too,so well share a dorm.”she says,taking my wrist,and leading me to a smaller room,with five beds.there is already three other girls here,and they all turn and look.
”this is y/n greengrass.”pansy introduces.
“and this is,lidia,millicent(bulstrode)and vivian.”she gestures tothe girls.
”nice to meet you.”you say while smiling.maybe they would be your friends.
”hello””hi””nice to meet you,y/n”they reply.
”leave your stuff here,ill show you around.”she says,grabbing my hand and taking me to the common room.
there is a couple of people in the common room,but not many.some stare,of course because they dont have transfer students often.
”say hello”pansy says.you can feel your face tinging red from the attention.
”hello…”you say,as pansy leads you over near the people she was sitting with at dinner.
”oh,hello again.”the blonde boy that you spoke too says.
”hello,nice to meet you.”a sweet looking boy says.
”im lorenzo berkshire,thats draco malfoy”he says looking to the blonde boy.

”where are you from?”he finaly asks.
“oh,im from japan.”you explain.
”japan?”lorenzo says.
”yes,i was home schooled.”
”good luck catching up”draco says in a rather snobbish voice,whitch makes you frown.
”japan?well are your parents japanese?”theodore asks.
”my father is.”you say.
”japan?well are you pure blood then?”malfoy asks.he seems the rather judgemental type.
”yes,he is.my full name is y/n y/j/n kisaragi greengrass”you say,cringing at your overly long name.
”kisaragi?havent heard of it.”you start liking malfoy less and less,despite his pretty little face.
”are you half japanese then?”mathheo asks.”you look asian.”
”yes,i am.”i reply.
”and rather p-“mattheo is cut off when pansy shoves him,whichmakes me confused.
”mattheo,dont be rude!”she scolds.
”i wasnt!!”mattheo says back,with an overly pouty look on his face.you stand still not knowing what to do.
”whatever”mattheo huffs out.
”nice to meet you”lorenzo says,waving sweetly as pansy takes me back to my dorm.
”make yourself at home,yeah?”pansy says.you hope it becomes more then a home.
”thank you for being kind.”you say,pansy has been really nice to you.
”no problem.you looked fun.good night!”she says,making me confused again.
”fun…?’you think,but dont adress it.
