I will not longer be updating this fic, or any of my fics in this fandom. I haven't really updated any of my fics in a long while, so I doubt this message is necessary, but here I go anyways.
I was going through a really scary time in my life, and this fandom was my comfort and safe space, but that didn't mean that a lot of things didn't get a bit too hard, and I had neither the time not energy to continue updating, and I drifted away from the fandom, especially since on some level the constant negative news, drama, and my own deteriorating mental health continued to take it's toll on me. I didn't mark my fics as discontinued because I thought that with time maybe I'd revisit them and possibly finish them, just to be able to look back on the content and creators that made me feel human in a time where everything felt like it was falling apart.
Needless to say, a lot has changed with the recent events. I wish Shelby all the best and hope she is alright, and am so so sorry she was subjected to such cruelty. I wish her all the best and hope the Wilbur Soot faces the consequences he undoubtedly deserves.
I'm not sure why I'm writing this when I could have really just left this to rot or abandoned the work, but I wanted to say goodbye to y'all readers, writers, and fellow kindred souls who are or were in this fandom.
Know that if there is one thing I won't ever regret, it was getting to know and interact with you guys. To everybody who ever left kudos, commented, bookmarked, or even just skimmed through my fics, you all mean the world to me, and will never know just how much joy those simple actions brought me.
I'll still be around, probably in different fandoms, with different content now. I'm older, no longer the scared, lonely teen I used to be, and I wonder how my writing has changed with me. I hope to see you guys around as well, wherever our journeys take us.
