Chapter Text
Seriously, what the ever-loving fuck was up with this place? First, he gets stranded in a time period barely even heard of, then he finds a ravaged and demolished village, and now he was currently beating the shit out of some kind of creature. To backtrack, Yuuji was honestly just minding his own damn business and resting by a small river—the first water source he’d found in the last few hours, which was a tad bit concerning, but given the fire everywhere, he wasn’t surprised—when this weird blob-like creature just sauntered on up to him like it owned the forest. Well, the sad little tree patch that the teen was just chilling in.
It was like an ugly green gelatin thing and it had one eye, which the bubblegum pink haired boy didn’t get. He needed answers and he needed them now. Where was he and was this actually the Heian Era? Cause it sure as hell wasn’t what he had read about in the books. What had managed to get recovered from every bit of carnage from the remaining debris of the Heian villages found over in Yuuji’s time just showed this era being relatively peaceful with very little war. Meaning he was either in the wrong period of time, or this was the true Heian Era and something or someone had managed to fuck with history books and change things to appear as they truly weren’t. Which, in all honesty, made this trip—cough temporary stranding cough—all the more intriguing.
But, back to the creature—Yuuji would later find out that this creature was what the people of this time called a “curse”—it took swings at the teen, which were quite easy to dodge, until the thing started just flailing its weird arms around like a madman running out of a mental hospital for the first time in years. It was… really unsettling. But, hey, turns out all he had to do was just roundhouse kick the shit out of that thing. It settled the fight pretty quick. He had to move, though. If there were more of those things nearby, they would surely be on their way now after all of the ruckus that was just made.
