Chapter Text

It's not always easy to trust, but when you trust the right people, it's the most freeing thing you could ever feel.

Cheesy, but true.

It was half past ten now. Most employees had long since gone home to their mates and families, but you were determined to finish the design you were working hard on. This time, you were trying to find a smaller, sleeker design for Bakugou’s gauntlets. You gave yourself this assignment about a week ago, and you would have finished if you didn’t have two doting alphas who kept distracting you. You hunched over your desk, a desk lamp the only light in the room, as you scribbled away in your sketchbook. You could feel your head drooping with every stroke you made, but your natural stubbornness prevailed; you kept going despite your body's attempts to send you to sleep.

You had gotten off a phone call with Mei earlier, mostly her teasing you about your new relationship. You thought that relationship was a bit of a stretch, but you had to admit you had gotten closer to the two alphas constantly plaguing your thoughts. You liked to think of it as close roommates who sometimes sleep in the same bed. Labels were blurry to you but you had no insecurity about how they felt about you and you felt the same way.

About a month after the incident, you had moved in with them to their penthouse. The move was easy and paying off the lease was a breeze but convincing you in the first place was hard. They almost offered to sleep at their agency while you got used to the place until you agreed to stay in their guest room, which slowly became yours. Even your labs started to gain elements of their presence—Katsuki's jacket in the corner, Eijiro's extra shirt when he inevitably tears the one he’s wearing, stray drink cups, and food boxes when they buy you lunch. They even somehow convinced Mei to give them keycard access to the building so they could kidnap you during your lunch breaks and scheme against you with Mei.

Mei sounded more than a little suspicious when she came off the phone and from the notification that popped up a minute ago, you knew your work for the night was as good as over.

“What do you think you’re doing?”

A gruff voice called out from the darkness of the room. Seconds later, your office was flooded with light, causing you to squint at the sudden change. The two alphas stood at your office door with tired smiles dancing on their lips. They looked as if they had just gotten off patrol, and with a glance at your phone, you saw the time was way after midnight. You grimaced slightly at the realization and sluggishly rubbed your eyes.

"I'm working?" You answered with a sleepy smile. “I was supposed to get this done days ago anyway. I could get fired.”

That was partially a lie. You couldn’t get fired if you were the boss, though that didn’t mean you wouldn’t hold yourself to a certain standard. Eijiro chuckled at your reasoning and swivelled your chair to face them.

“We’ll talk to your boss for you; we wouldn’t want their best employee to pass out at work on them, now would we?” Eijiro joked, poking you in the forehead playfully. You snorted and swatted his hand away, although it was more like a pat.

He scooped you up out of your chair, holding you in a princess carry as he kicked your chair lightly back into place. You protested a little until you caught a faint whiff of his scent radiating off his shirt. You softly glared up at him when you noticed, and all he offered was a sheepish grin. He knew the effect it had on you and that it calmed you down almost instantly.

While Kirishima made faces at you to your dismay and you smacked his shoulder in protest, Katsuki packed up your things and walked over to the two of you with a poorly hidden smile. Though he would never admit it, you could tell he liked to watch you two joke around and have a good time by the little smile he would give you when he thought you were not looking. It made you feel just as warm.

“Let’s go, idiots. I’m tired, and I’m not above leaving your asses.” He grunted, turning and walking out your door.

It was a bald-faced lie, but you were too tired to argue.

The ride home was lively as Eijiro excitedly recounted the day’s activities to you in great detail, Katsuki piping up now and then to confirm or deny points of the story. You only softly hummed to show you were listening and snickered to yourself whenever they got into a mini argument over small things like what they got for lunch that day. When you arrived at your destination, Eijiro scooped you up once again and whisked you away to the bathroom so you could shower. Katsuki grabbed everyone’s bags from the trunk and walked off, grumbling about how no one cared about helping him, while the two of you laughed at his face.

Your nightly routine flew past, leaving you curled up on the couch, watching a movie with them on either side. It was Katsuki’s night to choose, and he had chosen Ratatouille for his movie choice. He mostly picked it to rag on all the choices they made for food and stared intently at the recipes he wanted to try, which was always funny to you. It was even funnier to watch Eijiro fake a French accent and attempt to woo you and Katsuki with it.

Eijiro sat on your right while Katsuki sat on your left, sandwiching you with their warm bodies and comforting scents. It had been such a long time since you felt so safe. Your eyes flickered between their necks where faint bite marks sat, and for some reason, you felt weird. Once you moved in with them, they usually had their scent blockers on or wore random accessories to smother their scent. They claimed they didn’t want to overwhelm you with how strong they were, but after you three sat down and talked about the whole thing, you agreed to let them take them off whenever they wanted. Now they only wore them at home whenever they had company, and you only wore them whenever certain other alphas were visiting. The house always had a mix of your scents mingling together, to the point that you didn’t need to have scented items from them since everything you owned eventually smelt like them—even if they had never come into contact with them.

Marking was something that had never crossed your mind, even when you dated in the past. You've had passionate moments, desperate moments, and times when you truly believed you were in love, but never like this.

Do they think about it too? You had been living with them for a little under a month now but your omega was so restless that you could feel your face getting warm. The comfort, the warmth, the way Eijiro held you by his side, and the small circles Katsuki rubbed into your thighs—it was becoming so much for you to handle. Your omega wasn’t any help either, putting all sorts of thoughts in your mind, romantic and otherwise. You almost didn't realise that you had started to tear up until you saw Eijiro sit up with a start.

"Ah! What’s wrong? Why are you crying? Are you okay? Did I squish you? What's wrong?" He fumbled, immediately pulling away his body to inspect your face. Katsuki had pulled away as well; his face contorted into a frown as he wiped the tears away. Your mind took a while to register what was going on before you dug yourself into the blankets with a soft whine of embarrassment. Katsuki paused the movie to prevent any distractions and your stomach twisted with the now obvious silence filling the space between the three of you, your face getting warm as the two alphas stared down at you with evident confusion.

You were a Rouge Omega; you didn’t get overly emotional, sappy, or desperate for a mate! You were self-sufficient! You were completely independent when needed! The idea of them as your mates did not make your stomach erupt with butterflies because you were your own omega and the images in your mind playing like a slideshow were absolutely not helping.

------

Oh my god, please stop.

Stop what? You’re the one with the marking thoughts, not me~

I- No. No way. I wouldn’t- I mean, I’ve never even-

Shush. You sound like an idiot. You and I trust them, and they trust us, so just ask. And besides, if you think any harder, you might hurt yourself.

This is different! This isn’t like moving in together or wearing their clothes! This is mating for life! Forever! I’ve only properly known them for such a short time and I’m just— What if it doesn’t work out…

It will. I am literally your gut feeling. So stop whining and at least talk about it, you look like an idiot.

Thanks… I feel so much better…

You’re welcome!

"Please let me die in shame," you whined, pulling a pillow over your head while your omega only snickered at your flustered state. Your attempt at burrowing away was instantly foiled when a rough pair of hands grabbed your waist.

“No fucking way. The last time you hid from us, you almost got kidnapped by that damn copycat bastard.” Katsuki said with a scowl as he pulled you up and onto his lap with minimal effort. You felt your body tingle with nervousness as the two alphas looked at you, waiting for an answer.

“It’s not a big deal—just overthinking! I'm fine now." You attempted to smile and sell your story, but they were having none of it. After a few minutes, your shoulders sagged as you accepted that you had to tell them. You felt your chest tighten and your body flush with embarrassment as you forced the words out of your mouth in a quick mumble.

“IwasjustlookingatyourmarksandthenIstartedfeelingweirdbecauseI’veneverhadanalphawanttomarkmebefore.” You squeaked before slamming a pillow into your face to hide again. Kirishima blinked in confusion, but Katsuki had a huge grin that only made you want to disappear even more.

“What did they say, babe? I didn’t understand anything at all,” Eijiro said, flickering his gaze between your embarrassed face and Katsuki’s amused one.

Katsuki wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you into his lap, earning a soft gasp from you. He nuzzled his face into the side of your neck and grazed his teeth dangerously close to your scent gland. You sighed nervously and squirmed in his grip—your omega was practically screeching in your head, making your head spin. Katsuki and Eijiro locked eyes for a second before it finally clicked in Eijiro’s head.; all you could do was hang your head, embarrassed.

Eijiro’s warm palm cupped your face and tilted it upwards to face him, an amused grin greeting you. The smell of red velvet and cherries filled your nose and caused you to purr quietly, your face warming up by the second. Your omega anxiously paced around in your head, waiting in anticipation for what either alpha was going to do next, and honestly, you were nervous too.

“You want us to mark you?” Eijiro asked softly, rubbing your cheek softly. You shrugged your shoulders helplessly and averted your gaze. A tight squeeze on your waist from Katsuki caused a squeak to escape you as he clicked his tongue in disapproval.

“Not an answer, Tinker. Out with it.” He grunted, pulling the pillow from your grasp and replacing it with Mei’s plush to prevent you from hiding again. You huffed and groaned for a minute before finally opening up without meeting their eyes.

“I don’t know, okay? I’ve never wanted to be marked, claimed, or any of that submissive stuff. The urge is there but I’ve never thought about it and seeing yours got me all emotional and I have no idea why.” You rambled on in a panicked tone. "Maybe I’m not ready, but I kind of want it anyway—I'm not sure!"

The alphas listened intently as you vented out your frustrations, keeping neutral expressions as you spoke. When you finally calmed down a bit, Eijiro spoke up.

“What you’re feeling is completely normal, okay? People have urges to do stuff like this all the time, which comes with the whole second-gender thing. We don’t have to do anything you don’t want to." He reassured you, rubbing his head against yours in comfort. You allowed him to with a wobbly smile but Katsuki was quiet. He kept his eyes glued to your nape, thinking hard.

“We could give you faux marks,” he said quietly, the tips of his ears glowing pink. You and Eijiro looked at him confused and Katsuki sighed heavily, knowing he’d have to elaborate.

“A faux mark is a type of temporary bond mark. You bite down on the area like normal; just don’t break the skin, like a hickey or some shit. Your body recognises it as a mark and you become hyperaware of it until it fades away." he explained. You nodded slowly, thinking it over. You hadn’t heard of “faux marks” before but the idea wasn’t such an awful thing. You weren’t ready for the real thing but this was as good as anything to settle your curiosity. Mostly anyways.

“Did it hurt… Did it hurt when you first marked each other?” You asked quietly, glancing between. Eijiro’s cheeks warmed at the memory and Katsuki let out an amused grunt.

“I ain’t gonna lie and say it didn’t hurt like a bitch when Shitty Hair first bit me. Fucker almost sent me into a rut." Katsuki grumbled, giving the red alpha a playful glare. You snickered softly while Eiji whined in mock protest. "Ignore him; he clung to me like a leech and would not come off! I had to convince him not to eat me and he sent me into a rut then laughed about it!”

You smiled quietly to yourself as the two alphas bickered above you. The tension faded from your nerves with every second that ticked by. You took a deep breath, then rested a hand on Eijiro's and giggled as the two bantered above you, your anxiety subsiding with every quick-witted word they shared. It was one of the things you loved about them.

“I’m ready,” you whispered, a soft smile playing on your lips. The two alphas paused their bickering and focused their attention on you instantly. Eijiro shifted closer to you and placed his face against your neck. “I’ll go first then—my teeth are sharper and it might ache less if Kats goes next.”

You nodded and braced yourself with your eyes shut tightly while holding your breath. Katsuki squeezed your stomach and pinched your cheeks to stop you from glaring softly at you. “Don’t do that shit; it’ll hurt more after. We won’t break the skin, okay? It’ll just be a sore bruise for a while.”

You shivered as Eijiro’s teeth grazed your neck, squeezing your plushie tighter on instinct. Katsuki quietly purred to soothe your nerves as Eijiro began to bite down. The sensation was painful at first. Dull pain shot through your neck and into your head; spots dotted your vision as the deeper Eijiro bit into your flesh. Then the pain faded into pleasure. Warmth travelled through your nerves, illuminating your senses. You could feel everything that smelled of him, from the hoodie you were wearing to the blankets and pillows shrouded in his scent.

“Still with us,'mega?” He hummed, kissing the bruise to alleviate the pain. You nodded weakly, dropping your face into Eijiro’s chest with a shaky sigh. Your mind was racing as if you were lucidly dreaming.

“We can stop if you want to.” Katsuki started before your hand gripped his shirt almost desperately, shaking your head so fast he swore it would have given you whiplash.

“N-no, you don’t have to stop,” you murmured, staring up at him with pupils blown wide open. Eijiro chuckled at the blush dusting his mate’s cheeks while repositioning you so Katsuki could continue what he started.

Katsuki’s bite hurt a little less. He bit under the one that Eijiro did, so the sting was shorter and blended with the pain of the first bite. The full wave of Katsuki's scent made your eyes water and your body tremble as his scent tripled tenfold in your nest. Katsuki has always had a protective edge to his scent, so it was almost cathartic with how limp your body went from the bite. With how much of him you could feel at the moment, tears were inevitable. You smiled through the tears nonetheless, happy purrs rumbling from your chest as the pain slowly subsided in your body.

"You okay, Tink? Red’s gonna get some stuff to bring you down to earth,” Katsuki said quietly, rubbing your cheeks with his knuckles as Eijiro headed off to the kitchen for water.

You stared up at Katsuki, your cheek smushed against his chest, who was watching Eijiro fumble around with snacks and a bottle of water with a soft look in his eyes . Then your eyes flickered to Eijiro and the adorable smile that crossed his face when he found what he was looking for. It was almost enough to make you start crying all over again. Eijiro took a moist, cool cloth and pressed it on your neck, then rubbed a little cream into the bites as carefully as he could. He purred for you every time he saw you flinch at his touch and cooed at the blissed-out expression on your face. “If the bruises don’t go down, I’ll switch to a warm one but you should be fine for now.” He said it softly, patting your cheek. When all was said and done, the two put you in a cuddle sandwich and stared down at you lovingly, watching you gradually drift off due to the emotional strain marks had caused you.

“M’gonna mark you two one day…” You mumbled quietly, your eyes fluttering closed with every slurred word that fell from your lips.

“Can’t wait, omega~” Eijiro whispered as you finally fell fast asleep in their arms. Katsuki was still quiet at the point, content with staring at your sleeping figure.

No more words were shared after that—it was a mutual understanding between both alphas about what had just transpired. Despite your hesitance, there was no one else in this world for them—DNA or not. And one day, they’d make you theirs entirely, and not just their hearts that you had so tight in your grip like that plushie you were holding. With the full moon high and the scents hugging them like a warm fuzzy blanket, there was only one thing that went through all their minds.

Everything was perfect.
