The ramblings of an iterator with what can only be described as writer's block

Chapter 2: In the wake of night

Summary:

In which I provide explanation for why I almost never write anything here

Chapter Text

...the weight of this hits her, barely holding steady as she is bombarded with the hopeful messages of those who found her pearls by chance

She hears their hopeful praise, their incorrect but still intriguing theories, their never met hunger for more

She want to make them proud, to leave a worthy mark apon this world... but, she lacks motivation

The cycles passing over her head in the span of less than a moment, but slowing to the pace of a poleplant in these moments

She wants to make them happy, she wants them all to be satisfied, to be granted a joy by her creations...

But... she feels her meager attempts are inadequate, that she'll bring them a similar disappointment to the kind the beats in her chest every moment

The shame of having it all be for nothing, of failing the test before it even starts, of all her efforts being meaningless

She doesn't want to be left behind but she doesn't want to hold them back or waste their time, so she writes pitiful messages on pearls, hoping to create stories like the ones she reads but always coming up short

Whether she will continue this story or continue the trend of quitting before she starts, we may know one day

But until then, she will be searching for motivation in a world that isn't for her, a world where hopes and dreams die before they can even begin to prosper...

Notes:

I don't know what I'm doing, you'd think I'd know since I'm a literal city sized supercomputer, but 'I'm only human, after all~' ...yeah I'll stop quoting cringy music pearls now...
