Chapter Text
Twas the night before Silver Eve. Caoilfhionn had finished her preparations, save for a few things she was to do in the coming morning. Caoilfhionn was the type to prepare far ahead of time, in order to give herself time to sleep; or more accurately, laze around. She was a hard worker, but only if there was a promise of time to rest.
It was only recently where that wasn’t the case: the contraption she had made for Aliniya. She required herself to do that simply as a way to repay Aliniya for her pastries. Under most circumstances, Caoilfhionn tended to do things for her own benefit. Selfish as she was, and aware of her selfishness as she was; Aliniya seemed to be the exception to everything Caoilfhionn was used to. It bugged her; she couldn’t figure out why this was the case, and why Aliniya seemed to break all of the barriers Caoilfhionn had. She broke those barriers with ease; just within the two brief meetings between the two young women.
As much as Caoilfhionn was fascinated with Aliniya, she had a task at hand. Silver Eve was an important event to many witches, herself included. It wasn’t the time to be infatuated with a neighbor who Caoilfhionn had just met; much less someone who wasn’t familiar with the world of magic. It was forbidden to reveal the secret of magic to those unfamiliar, after all.
