Chapter Text
Vincent's pov.
"Hey, Rody." -I called out as i stirred the boiling soup.
"Pass me the salt." -I continued as i held my hand out, not looking away from the pot.
"Ah, okok." -Rody mumbled as he put something in my hand. I took the shaker and was about to pour some into the soup, but i immediately paused as i looked at the label on the shaker.
"....."
"Rody, did you forget how to read?" -I calmly asked as i turned the stove off, turning to look at Rody.
"I can read fine. why?" -Rody answered, curiously turning to me as he asked.
"... It's fucking SUGAR." -I snapped, pointing at the label on the shaker that clearly says [Suger]
"what- i er, I was half asleep ok??" -Rody reasoned, embarrassed by this mess up.
"You should be blacked out to misread the word 'sugar' for 'salt'. Honestly, what's keeping you up to this extent??" -I asked, annoyed.
"It's just.. I've just been thinking a lot." -Rody casually responded, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
"... Thinking what, Rody?" -I rolled my eyes, grabbing the salt shaker myself and putting it next to the stove.
"Just.. my ex." -Rody mumbled, looking down.
"..." -I paused, Why would he think of ger when I'm with him?- "why.. would you think of her?"
"I'm just... i don't know- it's strange!" -Rody exclaimed, he sounded like he has been thinking about this for a while.
"Rody.." -I stepped towards Rody, mildly concerned-
"She just.. She just left me, and went missing.. Like..." -Rody covered his face in frustration- "It's weird!"
"Rody." -I called out again, gently cupping Rody's Face- "Do you miss her?"
Rody stared at me, before mumbling- ".. Not really.. i just think-"
"Then let's just enjoy what we have right now." -I calmly stated. "I dont want you overthinking about your ex while we're together.."
"... You're right." -Rody sighed before smiling warmly at me- "Maybe im just overthinking."
"Well, you are." -I crossed my arms.
"Thanks, Vince." -He chuckled as he suddenly kissed my cheek.
"..." -I blushed at the sudden kiss- "Get back to cooking, Rody."
"Yes, sir." -He smiled as he got back to chopping the tomatoes.
