Chapter Text
Everyone is now on break again after class ended. Now Kieran has to go to the entrance where the court battle is. He's waiting to battle a trainer who's planning on to beat him and become the new champion. Students are now sitting down, waiting for Kieran and the unknown trainer to have a pokemon battle. In Blueberry Academy, it's double battles so maybe it will end quick.
Right now Lacey is waiting for the other Elite Four members to come over and watch the battle. She's standing there as people walk over and take a seat. She keeps looking back over and over to find her friends.
First, Carmine came over and Lacey smiled for coming here first. Then here comes Drayton. Slow walking and stretching his body to get himself up. He waves at Carmine who sticked her tongue out in irritation.
"Carmine you can't start an argument with Drayton again. You know? It's just not right"
Lacey crosses her arms into an X-formation since she doesn't wanna see both Carmine and Drayton fight again but atleast for her, none of their fights were a violent one. That's what she's thankful for.
"Lacey... you know I'm sick of that toothpaste haired bozo all the time"
"Now now, we'll talk about this later. Anyways we're waiting for the other ones to come on over."
She pauses the conversation and will resume once everyone is prepared and she'll have to deal with Drayton and Carmine's shenanigans.
Carmine gave Drayton a death stare. Oh boy... she really isn't having it with Drayton.
"I just waved at you Carmine. Why are you so mean me to me!!!!!"
Drayton purposely tries to irritate her again with his annoying attitude towards Carmine.
"Drayton stop testing her limit right now. It's just not right!"
Once again, Lacey crosses her arms with an X-formation again, disagreeing with the fact Drayton wants to piss her off again.
"Are you ever gonna keep crossing your arms into an X again over and over, one-hundred times a day, and twenty-four seven?"
"Not right now Drayton. Not this time, and no. I like doing that!"
Lacey's limit was now being tested by Drayton again. She's not having it. She will have to deal with him later.
But atleast Drayton still cares about her and everyone else.
"Oh yeah.. where's Amarys and Crispin?"
Drayton asked the both of them, who are now angrily looking at him with their arms crossed.
Drayton sighs and continues.
"I'll take that as a no then."
He shrugs his arms and waits for everyone else to come over before the battle begins.
Then a few minutes later, Amarys finally showed up and prepared.
"Hey Amarys!! Are you ready to watch the battle for Kieran and a random pokemon trainer?"
Amarys nodded at Carmine and looked at the battle court. It was all empty. She's waiting to see Kieran be defeated by another trainer. But she knows maybe he won't faltered at all and still be able to win.
"Kieran must be getting prepared, or taking good care of his pokemon before the battle begins since everyone does that."
Amarys said as she lifted her glasses as they tilt down softly.
"Im so excited to see Kiki battle against someone!"
Carmine said excitingly with her hands softly clapping. She's waiting for her brother to come over and battle.
"Hey aren't we missing someone?"
Lacey asked
"Oh- were missing Crispin! Our Fire-type Elite Four member!!"
Drayton yelled out happily, bringing a compliment to Crispin who is still absent.
"Oh shut it you toothpaste tube."
Carmine shutted Draytons mouth as he sounded happily. She may not like him whenever he does that. She just thinks he's annoying and awful due to his current school issues.
"Hey Carmine. I was just complimenting Crispin for being our Fire-type Elite Four member. Can I not do it? Or is it against the rules?"
"I don't know the rules genius"
Carmine shrugged her shoulders at Draytons compliment for Crispin. She does knows how the rules work.
"Maybe he's not. I mean he repeated a bunch of times."
Lacey giggled softly.
"Lacey that was three times."
Drayton is now feeling embarrassed that they keep bringing up the fact that he had to repeat multiple times and they know it embarrasses him.
"How embarrassing"
Carmine said as her final word towards Drayton.
"Okay, whatever you girls say."
Drayton shrugged and looking away from them.
A few minutes later before anything can happen, Crispin finally shows up to the central court battle and still holding his pan after having to do a quiz from class.
"Oh there he is!! Crispin over here!!"
Lacey yelled out and waved at Crispin, signaling him that they are spotted over here.
Crispin smiled and walks to approach them.
"Hey guys. I see everyone is here?"
Crispin said while Lacey claps and smiles. Drayton waves at Crispin and gave him a sweet smile.
Amarys however, she looked away from the group and puts her hand on her chest. It's like she put her hand on her heart and feeling nervous.
"Crispin, what did you do today?"
Lacey asked him a certain question that everyone would ask to others.
(What did I do today?)
"A quiz last period. It was- easy atleast, but I think I passed...??"
Lacey's eyes were widened and then softly when back to normal and she claps at Crispin.
"Awesome. Now we're waiting for Kieran to come on over before the moment starts."
Crispin nods and smiles. He's starting to feel excited. He loves watching double pokemon battles, especially the champion battling.
"I'm going to sit down in those seats."
Crispin walks away and sat down, waiting for the big battle to start.
Drayton decides to sit next to him as well which confuses Crispin on why he decided to sit down with him.
"Drayton don't leave us here, it's just not right-"
Drayton then pauses her before she could cross her arms like she always does.
"Now now Lacey, not the time for that!"
Lacey gave up and sat down next to Drayton in anger but she'll be calm in a few minutes.
"Guys the battle is about to start! Here comes Kiki!!!"
Carmine cheers as she saw Kieran walked out after his classes, all of his pokeballs were ready and he was prepared for the battle to begin.
Everyone around the court cheered and yelled out 'Kieran' in hope for him to win, but some others want him to be defeated and sink down like the very bottom of the ocean around Blueberry Academy.
Kieran walks to the court and stands on his battle spot where he will send his pokemon out.
Everyone cheered even louder once the unknown trainer shows up with a tough expression.
Kieran rolled his eyes, not giving a few shits from anyone, especially the trainer.
"KIKI YOU CAN DO IT!!!!"
Carmine yelled for her brother to win.
"So it's nice to meet you random trainer, you beat the Elite Four and now I'll crush you so you won't become the new champion of Blueberry Academy..... Now this battle may start."
Kieran takes out his pokemon and pecks it, and introduces the trainer the pokeball with his lovely pokemon.
"Go Dragonite, and Politoed."
Kieran throws his pokeballs, to the floor of the court battle.
A dual dragon and flying-type pokemon, and a green water-type pokemon.
Both of his pokemon came out of their pokeball and yell out their names.
The trainer sent out their Skeledirge and Chandelure.
"Ah I see... both fire and ghost-type pokemon huh? Well don't worry.. I'll end your career right here and I know I'm making the right choice... You'll understand soon enough!"
Carmine watches the battle in concern, worried if her brother will lose but she knows he's stronger than the Elite Four members he had crushed and become champion.
"Lets see if you could taste some of my talent that my grandparents taught me and myself"
(Wait.... taste some of my talent that...)
(That...)
(Wait..... this reminds me of the scary memories back then...)
Crispin's expression suddenly changed. His smile faded away and the his excitement disappeared after he heard some words that came out of Kierans mouth and it seems like it's haunting him and it gave him goosebumps.
