Chapter Text

Wade decided it was the time to tell his employer that he isn’t taking the job. He didn’t want to kill a child, but if he was going to tell his employer that, would that make them back down from hiring another merc? He sighed as he realized this, what should he do? He sat on a freeway bridge weighing his options, until he spotted a suspicious SUV swerve onto the freeway. Shooting behind them towards a group of cop cars. He waits till the right time and jumps down onto the SUV. He may not be a hero or a vigilante, but after watching his friends in red, he wanted to try it.

As he hit the van, a loud thump sounded, surprising the thieves inside. A man who was shooting at the police turned to face the car’s roof. He starts shooting at Deadpool, landing quite a bit of bullets in him. He pulls the gun, causing the holder to dangle out of the car’s window. He kicks the man and he falls out of the car, falling onto the freeway. Deadpool takes his spot by swinging into the free window and sitting down next to the driver, who is now aiming his bullets at him. “Woah, keep your eyes on the road! How did you get your driver’s license?” Deadpool banters.

“The fuck- get out!” The man shouts, throwing his elbow towards Deadpool’s head. He doges them and gets ahold of it after a couple swings.

“Nah, what’d  ya  steal? A bank? Dude, that’s not cool, steal something else! Like someone’s virginity.” he then broke the man’s arm and shoved his head against the steering wheel, knocking him out. He takes a hold of the wheel and crashes it into the cement wall bordering the freeway. He skips out of the car and the cops pull up next to him, with guns up.

“Hey pigs in blue! What's poppin’? Hopefully not the guns!” He says as he puts his hands up.

He ends up in the police station, sitting in a waiting room for questioning, until he sees a familiar face.

“Spidey! What’s happenin’?” He jumps up and tries to hug him, landing on the floor when Spider-man dodges. “Spidey, you’ve wounded me!”

“How did you end up here, Deadpool?” Peter asks, completely done with Deadpool’s shenanigans.

“I stopped a car chase, and now the boy in blue thinks I was a part of it.” He says, mocking a sad tone. Peter sighs and puts his hand on his hip.

“You weren’t, right?”

“Yes! Cross my heart, hope to die!” Peter sighs deeply again, after meeting Wade a few days ago, he’s been in the station multiple times, causing Spider-man to pick him up (Deadpool also claims he doesn’t have anyone else to pick him up), the police aren’t sure if they should trust Deadpool just yet, seeing as they have evidence against him for a few murders and is a known merc. The first time it happened, Deadpool was apparently mugging an innocent man, who then turned out to be a worker for Kingpin, leading Peter to have to pull Deadpool out of it, and proving the man wasn’t as innocent as the police suspected. After Daredevil was able to capture the rogue cops, it was easier to inform them about Kingpin.

They walk out of the station and Deadpool pulls out his phone seemingly calling someone. A few minutes later the cab shows up with some foreign music playing in the background. Peter raises an eyebrow at how normal the man looked.

“Spidey, meet my best and favorite, get-away driver, Dopinder!” Deadpool says with a flowery attitude.

“Hey, Mr. Dopinder.” He waves towards the man in the seat, he smiles back and waves.

“Hello, Mr. Spider! Mr. Pool, where to?” He asks as he taps his finger to the song’s beat.

“The nearest pizza place, I owe Spidey here a pizza for all the trouble I caused him!” Deadpool says sing-songy. He gets in the front seat and gestures for Peter to go in the back. Peter was hesitant at first, but reluctantly agreed. As they drove, Wade and Dopinder had a conversation, more like Deadpool rambling about how he fought the bad guys and each detail containing each injury. Peter turned them out, looking out the window, he’s never actually been in a cab in costume, it’s a bit odd. They reach the pizza place, a small, most likely a locally owned shop. It was hidden in a corner of a sketchy street. They made a stop and Dopinder waved, seemingly not asking to be paid for the ride. Peter felt bad as he watched Deadpool give the man a high-five, rather than cash. He sighed and paid for the ride as he got out.

“Wow, thank you Mr. Spider!”

“No problem, you can just call me Spider-man, no need for formalities!” Peter waved as Dopinder drove off with a big smile.

“So, Deadpool, you don’t pay”

“Nah, he gives me rides for free, such a kind young man.” Deadpool skips into the pizza place. Leaving Peter wondering if Deadpool would actually pay for the pizza or make him pay for it. He walks in to find him sitting at a booth with his phone out, scrolling on twitter. He sits down across from him and looks around. The place wasn’t bad, it was a bit run down, it was also empty without customers. It had brick walls covered in posters and pictures.

The pictures were polaroids with each staff member posing with a pizza. They had written down their names under the picture with a doodle next to them. The place had fairy lights strung up with the photos, and next to that wall, was the counter to take orders. Deadpool disappeared from his seat, to the front of the counter. As if on cue, he turns around and calls him over. Peter heads up next to him, looking at the menu hung behind the counter.

“Alright Spidey-pie, what pie are you feeling right now, love?” Deadpool says. Peter looks at the order already placed, a medium meat lover with a fountain drink.

“Can you just make the pizza large, I’ll just share with him.” The girl working had her brown hair in a neat slicked back bun with a red visor. Her eyes were wide as her jaw was basically on the floor, right, they were in costume.

“O-of course! Is that all? Would you like another drink?” Her voice was shaky and her hands matched.

“Yeah, just a medium coke, thanks!”

“Yes, of course, um, the total is $25.67.” Just as Peter goes to pull out his wallet, he notices it is now gone, he is about to start freaking out, till he sees the familiar brown in Deadpool’s hand. Yeah, he was still paying.

They get their order and head to their booth. Once they sit down Deadpool slides his wallet back to him and pulls his mask fully off. He places it on the table and takes his gloves off as well. Peter rolls his mask up, but only to his nose and takes his gloves off as well, he reaches for a slice but then finds his hand being swatted away by Deadpool’s and him taking the slice he was getting. Peter glares at him from under his mask, he replies with a smirk.

“I guess you don’t hide your identity.” Peter snarls in annoyance as he tries another slice, but it gets stolen again.

“Nah, can’t get the buyer’s trust with a mask, but some enjoy it with my mask on.” He winks as he takes a bite out from one of the two slices in his hands. Peter finally grabs a slice and takes a bite.

“You seem to like having your face hidden, I doubt it’s ugly enough to hide.” Deadpool remarks with a mouthful of pizza.

“Yeah, I’m so gorgeous under this mask.” Peter huffs with sarcasm.

“Liar, I know what you look like under there buddy.”

“Right.”

“You know, it’s a long awaited reveal. Wade.” He holds out a grease covered hand for a shake.

“I don’t know if I should trust you yet, Wade. You did try to kill me a few days ago.” Wade’s name came out with a growl.

“Alright, whatever you say Spidey-pie.” Wade shrugs. Peter smiles at this, though he is sometimes annoyed with Wade, he knows when not to cross boundaries. They finish up their meal and head their separate ways. Deadpool now just needs to find a way to tell Wesley he dropped the job, but doesn’t want to say it with words, he wants to do it with his actions.
