Chapter Text
The next morning, as the sun was just starting to rise in the sky, the couple awoke and started to get dressed in their disguises before making the thankfully short walk to Gerudo Town. Once they were done they had a glance at themselves in the full length mirror. Manson thought that Lindsay looked stunning in her attire, and with her red hair thought that she could possibly pass herself off as a Gerudo. He was also pleasantly surprised with his own outfit- not only did it fit like a glove, but it was actually rather flattering on him, showing off his body in just the right way that made him look feminine (hopefully feminine enough to fool the guards). He honestly felt pretty sexy in a way.
"You look amazing" Lindsay complimented her husband.
"So do you" he replied back.
The Hylians then packed up their few belongings before heading out of the inn and sneaking by the man at the front desk of the stable (there were no stables in Gerudo Town so they had to leave their horse behind, plus it wasn't that long of a walk anyway) as they embarked on their final leg of the journey to the desert city. On the way there they passed by a group of Gerudo travelers who were headed back home towards Gerudo Town, all of whom complimented Manson on his looks.
"Oh you are definitely working that outfit. It looks great on you, honey!" one woman said to Manson
"That veil really brings out the color of your eyes!" said another woman.
"I just love your nails. Did you do them yourself?"
Once the group had left, Lindsay couldn't hold in her laughter anymore.
"My, aren't you a popular one?" she chuckled.
"Linds" Manson whined, though secretly he did enjoy the attention he had gotten. It also helped that this interaction was more than enough confirmation that his disguise had worked. Eventually after about half an hour of walking, the couple finally arrived at the entrance of the fabled Gerudo Town.
They were greeted by a great white wall with only one entrance guarded by two very tall and muscular Gerudo women holding spears who made sure that only other women were allowed inside. There were also guards around the rest of the perimeter of the walled city to make sure that no man could climb over. Despite this, there were a small group of men camped outside the wall, no doubt ogling the guards and any passing women from a safe distance. As the two got closer to the front entrance, Manson felt a mix of nervousness and confidence swell up inside of him, he had fooled those other Gerudo into thinking he was a woman simply by wearing their clothes, surely the guards would be none the wiser to.
Lindsay passed through the entrance first, the guards paying her no mind except for an approving nod from the older looking one. Then it was Manson's turn, he followed in his wife's footsteps, making his way past the guards and through the entryway as well. Manson couldn't help but feel small as he got closer to the guards, realizing they were taller then him. The older guard gave him a quick nod like she had before, and he made his way over to his waiting wife.
He had done it. He had successfully snuck his way into Gerudo Town, he was officially the only living man in the city.
"I can't believe it, we pulled it off!" Manson whispered excitedly to his wife"
"See, I told you it would work" Lindsay whispered back in the same excited tone.
They walked further into the city, taking in all the sights before them: The various different shops selling all sorts of different items. The bustling crowds of tall, tanned Gerudo mixed in with some female Hylians. The beautiful architecture of all the buildings. And the beautiful music that was playing through the streets.
"So, what would you like to do first?" Lindsay asked her husband.
"I do believe I was promised some alcohol once we got here" Manson replied cheekily.
Lindsay just rolled her eyes at her husband playfully as she grabbed his hand and lead him into the crowds, looking for their first adventure.
