The sound of aggressive typing filled the room. Gabriel's eyes twitched in irritation.
"Why are they ignoring me?" Uriel lamented loudly as she continued spamming comments on the channel.
Fed up with the other archangel's antics, Gabriel ground out, "Did you forget? They asked that channel's dokkaebi to turn their notifications off. Maybe they had enough of your annoying behavior."
Uriel pouted and finally, finally, stopped typing. Gabriel looked away in satisfaction. She's finally come to her senses.
But the silence that followed became overbearing. Gabriel looked back again, only to be startled.
Uriel was still pouting pitifully in her direction, her quivering eyes looked strangely shiny.
Panicked, Gabriel stood up from her position and quickly strode towards her companion as she blurted out, "I'm sorry!"
But the Demon-like Judge of Fire still had that utter dejection on her face. Gabriel crouched beside her, bringing a hand to her waist as an unconscious natural gesture, and peered on the screen with her. She got a glimpse of incarnation Yoo Joonghyuk glaring at the Demon King of Salvation.
"That demon king is such a bastard for tuning you off," Gabriel hurriedly amended. She knew she would come to regret her next words but she forced them out just to wipe away the other archangel's sadness. "You can tell me all about them instead." She refrained from cringing from her own words.
Uriel's face immediately brightened. But she held her pout. "Don't call my Dokja like that."
Gabriel ignored the stab of jealousy in her guts and just smiled. "Sorry," she said, not meaning it at all. "Now, I'm all ears."
"You called me annoying," Uriel continued, looking away with a hmp.
"I'm so sorry. I was wrong," Gabriel's words automatically left her, as if it was drilled into her, looking like a kicked puppy. But not without being genuine.
Uriel hummed nonchalantly but Gabriel knew enough that she was smiling, pleased.
"Well, if you say so. Look at this," Uriel said excitedly, looking so fanatic as if she wasn't on the verge of tears earlier.
Gabriel knew she was being manipulated but she had always been weak to Uriel's words.
"Can you see the way Yoo Joonghyuk looks at his companion?" Uriel asked excitedly, zooming in on the said in carnation's face before swiping the screen to Kim Dokja's flying figure.
"His gaze is so intense. I can practically see the hearts in his eyes." Uriel fanned herself. "What could be on his mind? I bet it's all lovely things about his companion. Look at the adoration in his eyes!" Uriel continued with a dramatic sigh, as if she's witnessing a play of Romeo and Juliet.
Gabriel refrained from telling her that all she can see was that the incarnation was trying to kill the constellation with his glare. Adoration, my ass. Murder, maybe.
