Chapter Text

Izuku tsked, looking down at the wiggling villain within his grasp, Izuku remembers fighting Muscular, he remembers being terrified back then. Izuku remembers being in a position very similar to one Kendo was just in, he also remembers their second fight, after Muscular broke out of Tartarus. Back then, Izuku finished the fight in just one punch, the green-haired boy has a feeling tonight won’t be any more difficult than back then. Kendo stared up at him, her eyes blown out wide.

“You! Y-You’re…”

Izuku smirked and nodded, before doing a small bow in the air.

“Yeah, I’m exactly who you think I am.”

Kendo slowly got to her feet, the ginger-haired girl gently picked up the shell-shocked Kota, Izuku met the shocked boy's gaze, and winked. Izuku then looked back towards Kendo, nodding at the girl.

“Kendo, take Kota to the Lodge, that’s where everyone’s regrouping, after I finish up Muscular, I gotta go back to my group, one of the villains managed to nab their target, Katsuki Bakugou.”

Kendo’s eyes widen again, the girl letting out a small gasp

“Bakugou?! Shit.”

Izuku nodded, the green-haired boy could feel Muscular wiggling in his grasp even harder, the blond villain snarling and swearing.

“Get out of here, Kendo! I got this!”

Itsuka gave him one last look, staring up at the sparking green-lightning dancing off his skin, her eyes widening even further seemingly. Izuku met her gaze one last time, and he smirked, giving her a wink as well.

“We’ll talk later.”

Kendo nodded, before shooting off into the forest like a gunshot, disappearing into the forest below them. Finally Izuku tossed the oversized villain back into the mountainside. Of course, by any normal standard, the word ‘tossing’ would be too light of a description, whereas a term similar to ‘choke slamming’ would be more appropriate in this case, but it was light by Izuku’s standards. Muscular growled, as he pulled himself out of the rubble and rock, he chuckled at the flying boy, grinning viciously

“So, you’re the bastard who’s been pissing Shigaraki off so much, huh? I can see why he hates you so much, why not come down here and fight me like a man, brat!”

Izuku tilted his head curiously, cupping a hand under his chin, pondering the offer.

“Have you considered coming up here and fighting me like a teenager?”

Muscular growled, before grabbing two large boulders and hurling them at the green-haired boy. Izuku didn’t even move, the projectiles simply halting in place, before beginning to float around the green-eyed boy, like miniature satellites. Izuku tapped a finger on his chin, before shrugging his shoulders.

“Well, if you’re gonna start throwing shit at me, then I suppose I’ll come down there. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!”

Then, within the span of a millisecond, Izuku was right there in-front of Muscular. The green-haired boy grasped Muscular by the throat, lifting him up, a Warp Gate opening behind him.

“Field Trip!”

The place Izuku brought Muscular, the sun was in the sky, as opposed to it being the middle of the night. The Vigilante and Villain emerge through the portal into a hot, Arizonian morning, the duo soon nose diving into The Grand Canyon. Muscular roared in confusion, panic, and rage, before they transformed into cries of pain, as Izuku slammed the man into the Colorado River. Izuku and Muscular rode the river along for awhile, the blond-villain sputtering and swearing, before Izuku opened up another Warp Gate portal, this time, sending Muscular flying into a massive sand dune. It was nearly 5am in Egypt right now, and still rather chilly by comparison. Izuku kicked the muscular villain like a stone across the dunes, the green-haired boy could spot the Pyramids of Giza off in the distance, and the green-haired boy grinned, before opening a third Warp Gate portal, Izuku grasped Muscular by the face, and slammed him back into the side of the Hida Mountains, overlooking The Forest of the Beasts. The crater Izuku made was massive, and the boy ripped Muscular’s quirk out of his body, as the man fell limp, unconscious. Izuku dusted sand off of his uniform, before tapping his Comm-Link.

“Alright, this is Viridian, I’m all done playing with Muscular, how’s the situation going?”

Himiko spoke up first, clearly sprinting after the villains.

“This is Carmine! Mr. Compress has taken both Bakugou and Tokoyami! Mezo Shoji and Shoto Todoroki are following me after them, I could use some assistance!”

Momo pinged next, also sprinting.

“This is Hela! I’m close to Carmine, I believe I can cut them off, Advise?”

Izuku narrowed his eyes, before speaking

“Hela, Carmine, Mr. Compress keeps the real marbles in his mouth, this is gonna be a close one. We gotta make sure they take only Bakugou. Has everything been set into place, the students all rescued?”

Hela gives confirmation, and Izuku hums, he speaks up again, addressing everyone.

“Alright, girls, we’re grouping up. Avandra, I suppose Spinner and Magne are booking it, right?”

Kyoka hums in agreement, before speaking, her voice was a little rough, probably from overusing Voice

“Yep, they’re making a break for it now. The Pussycats have already begun retreating toward the lodge.”

Ochako speaks up next,

“I’m bringing back the students right now, we’re right at the base of the entrance. You’re gonna be making portals for us I suppose?”

Izuku hums in agreement, purple mist begins to drift off his hands. The boy created a portal, stepping through it, he was instantly standing next to Ochako. The girls next to her got into a fighting stance, jumping at the sight of the green-haired boy. Izuku had to dodge out of the way, as Acid sailed next to his head, hitting and sizzling against a tree. Izuku looked over, giving Mina a deadpan look. The Pink-Skinned girl chuckled nervously, shrugging her shoulders.

“Uh, Whoops?”

Izuku chuckled, before turning back to Ochako.

“C’mon, this is gonna be a clusterfuck, all hands on deck, Zero.”

Ochako nodded, as Izuku reached his hands up to make another portal, Tsuyu stopped him

“Wait, where are you going?!”

Izuku looked at the girl, briefly, before answering her honestly.

“We’re trying to save your friends, they’ve been taken by the league.”

Mina and Toru gasp, Tsuyu’s eyes growing wide. Ochako gave her a serious look, before she pointed toward the Lodge

“Listen, Tsu, you gotta go back with the rest of your classmates, alright? We’ll bring your friends back, alright? I promise.”

Tsuyu’s eyes were wide, but she stood her ground.

“I-I’m coming with you guys, Ribbit!”

Izuku and Ochako’s eyes met, before they could speak, they all heard the distant sound of an iceberg forming, Shoto was busy. The two vigilante’s eyes hardened, and Izuku made a warp portal, before the three girls could react, the duo had jumped into it, leaving them behind. Izuku and Ochako, along with Kyoka, appeared next to Momo, who was sprinting toward the villains from the otherside. Izuku could see a Warp Portal opened, Magne and Spinner already running inside. Mr. Compress, even the showman, did a deep bow, taking his hat off and displaying the dummy marbles for all to see.

“Thank you all so very much, you’ve been a lovely audience, but unfortunately it seems this show has come to a close, I bid you all Goodbye, and Good-Ahk!”

Izuku whipped out a black whip, swinging from a tree, to deliver a double-footed kick to the man’s solar plexus, Mr. Compress fell to the earth with a thud, his mask falling off. The man barely had time to dodge, as another tower of ice was sent racing toward him. The Magician hopped to his feet in a panic, stumbling toward the portal, but Himiko didn’t allow it. The Blonde-Haired girl sunk into the shadows, before hopping out of Mr. Compress’s shadow, punching the man in the stomach.

“How’s this for a magic-trick, asshole?!”

Mr. Compress finally spat up the marbles, the little blue spheres rolling on the ground, Izuku pointed them out, shouting for the hero-students

“Those are the ones with the students in it!”

Mr. Compress scrambled after the marbles he spat out, but Himiko slashed him deeply across his side, the man howled, and rolled away from the feral Blonde-Girl, he stopped just short of the portal, the pain from the cut was too much for his concentration, he lost his grip on his Compress Quirk, some random pieces of ice appeared where his dummy marbles fell, Katsuki and Tokoyami appearing as well. The two boys gasped for air, disoriented. Even confused, Tokoyami had the wits to jump out of the way, getting away from the middle of the fight. Katsuki, on the other-hand, whipped a hand backward toward Compress, blasting him backward with an Explosion, sending him tumbling through the portal. Katsuki’s red-eyes were wild, before they finally settled on Izuku. His eyes widened to the size of dinner plates. Izuku was just as frantic, the green-haired boy sprinting toward him. Katsuki growled, his palms sparking popping like miniature starbursts, before he pointed both of them toward Izuku

DEKU!

A double-barreled explosion roared it’s way toward Izuku, making the green-haired boy flinch, and fall back, before it could hit him, however, a shield of ice protected him. Katsuki growled, and started to sprint toward him, when a scarred hand reached out from the portal, grabbing him by the back of the neck.

“Tsk Tsk, brat. I wouldn’t, unless you wanna burn."

Dabi peaked his head out of the portal, surveying the scene. The villain whistled, before he met the gazes of the huddled vigilante’s and hero students, his gaze met Izuku’s for a split second, and Izuku grinned, making the scarred man raise an eyebrow.

“Why hello there, Touya."

Dabi’s eyes widened, a blend of emotions dancing across his face, and, much to Izuku’s surprise, his eyes flickered to Shoto, before he pulled Katsuki through the portal, closing behind them. Izuku surveyed the scene, letting out a breath. Kacchan was taken, and Tokoyami rescued, but the green-haired boy still couldn’t think of this as a win. Izuku’s danger-sense pinged, and without even thinking, the boy had already picked up Shoto’s arm, and thrusted it into the sky, instead of aimed at him like it just was. A molten stream of fire lit up the sky. Shoto had a wild and panicked look in his eye, the scarred boy was breathing erratically. Izuku examined him closely, for a moment, before humming, smiling widely.

“You’re using your fire.”

Shoto’s eyes widened, and that was all the opportunity Izuku needed. The boy lifted a hand, and gently tapped Shoto on the forehead, just forcefully enough to knock him out. Izuku brought the boy down to the ground gently, before shaking his head.

“...C’mon, Ladies, let’s go.”

Before Tokoyami or Shoji could do anything else, Izuku had already formed a warp portal, and the vigilante’s stepped through it, leaving them alone in the forest.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The aftermath of the Summer Camp Invasion was…not pretty. Two of the Wild Wild Pussycats injured, along with multiple students, along with the fact that one of them was kidnapped? It's terrible. Kendo can’t stop thinking about how she could’ve been one of the very students injured, but for a very different reason. Most of the students, most of her classmates had been injured because they were poisoned by a villain's Mustard Gas quirk, Kendo, on the other hand, would’ve only Injured herself. Itsuka has rarely injured herself using One for All, even though she knows it’s a distinct possibility. She was very close to hurting herself tonight, she was only stopped when…when Izuku Midoriya appeared. Izuku Midoriya, the mysterious leader of the Future of Japan. He had saved her, along with Kota. The authorities found Muscular, the man was buried in the mountainside. Kota was still shell-shocked, and Itsuka couldn’t blame him, she felt shell-shocked too. Itsuka looked up, seeing Monoma Neito sitting down next to her. The Ginger-haired girl sighed, and began reaching her hand up to karate-chop the Blonde boy.

“Monoma i swear to god if you twist this into some class rivalry bullshit-”

Monoma threw his hands up in surrender, chuckling nervously at Itsuka’s pissed off expression

“Even I can read the room, Class-Rep. No, I know exactly who’s fault this is.”

Itsuka raised an eyebrow, imploring for him to continue.

“It’s those Vigilantes, The ‘Future of Japan’.”

Itsuka raised an eyebrow, continuing to look at him, waiting for him to make his point.

“You know, I met Izuku Midoriya and Momo Yaoyorozu before all of this business, right? It was at a party my parents and I attended, hosted by the Yaoyorozus. The very same one where she went missing.”

Itsuka’s eyes widened slightly, she remembered that story, it was big news for awhile, she narrowed her gaze, glaring at the blond boy, as things began to click in her mind.

“Oh Jesus Christ Monoma, don’t tell me you’re the guy who got his hand-broken.”

Neito’s nostrils flared, and he looked away, glaring at the ground, Itsuka groaned, throwing her hands in the air.

“Goddammit, Monoma!”

“What?! He started it!”

Kendo glared at the Blond boy, the copycat stood his ground for a moment, before rolling his eyes

“Ok fine, maybe I was a bit insufferable back then. I was told to make connections! How was I supposed to know Midoriya had already wormed his way into Yaoyorozu’s brain?”

Itsuka rolled her eyes, crossing her arms.

“Izuku Midoriya is many things, Monoma, but he’s not one to ‘worm his way’ into anyone’s brain.”

Monoma narrowed his eyes at her, looking at her suspiciously.

“Are you taking the Vigilante’s side then, Kendo?”

Itsuka huffed, shrugging her shoulders.

“I didn’t say that. I certainly have questions for the guy, but he and his group have regularly stepped in to stop massive villain attacks, and they get rewarded with villain rankings for it. If they didn’t step in at any of those attacks, including this one, many more people would’ve been hurt or worse. If Izuku Midoriya didn’t show up I’d have probably been killed, along with Kota. keep that in mind next time.”

Monoma merely huffed, standing up to move back into the Lodge. Kendo sighed, looking up toward the stars. She didn’t know what to do. Izuku felt trustworthy, but he had multiple quirks! Just like The Nomu, and just like…All For One. The Villain All Might says killed his mentor, and the one who injured him. Itsuka, and the heroes in general, have come to the conclusion that All for One had to have survived his climactic battle with All Might, and that he’s working in the shadows, but where does Izuku Midoriya fit into all this? And why does he…

“Why does he have One for All?”

There’s nothing else it could’ve been. The strength, the speed, the lightning? That was Full-Cowl at work. But it doesn’t make sense. She needed answers. Itsuka looked off toward the side, and out of the corner of her eye, saw Tsuyu Asui stepped out a side entrance of the lodge. Kendo sat up, Tsuyu has had a couple run ins with the FoJ, maybe she could enlighten Itsuka? Kendo follows the green-haired girl quietly. She found the girl stepping into a small clearing. This must’ve been where the Pussycats and Kyoka Jirou fought Magne and Spinner, Kendo can see ripped up dirt and trees, probably from the purple-haired rockers sound-based attacks. Tsuyu sighed, and right as Kendo was about to approach her, a warp-portal appeared, right in front of Tsuyu. Kendo ducked behind a tree, before peeking out to watch. She saw Izuku Midoriya, and the Vigilante known as Zero, step through. Zero smiled at the green-haired girl kindly, taking off her helmet. Izuku did as well, before he glanced back toward the direction of the lodge.

“Last chance to change your mind, Tsu, are you sure about this?”

Tsuyu nodded her head, resolutely.

“I…today’s events have shown me something, Ribbit. I went to U.A. to become a hero who could protect families like mine. My siblings have always been bullied because of their mutations, and I wanted to become a hero who could protect them. But…to do that I need to be stronger, and I can't do that by simply being a hero anymore, Ribbit.”

Izuku and Zero nod, Zero wrapping an arm around the Green-Haired girl's shoulders.

“C’mon, we’ll talk in the base.”

Zero and Tsuyu step through the portal, with Izuku Midoriya lingering outside for a moment longer. Izuku looks directly at the tree Kendo is hiding behind, the ginger-haired girl pressing herself against it.

“You can step out and talk to me, Kendo.”

Kendo groaned, stepping out from behind her tree. She stood in-front of the green-haired boy. The two teenagers looked each-other up and down for a moment. Izuku finally smiled.

“You know, the Invitation to join us isn’t just limited to Tsuyu, we could certainly use someone like you around.”

Kendo narrowed her eyes at the green-haired boy, making him chuckle.

“I could join you, but how do I know I can trust you?”

Izuku shrugged his shoulders, nodding in agreement.

“I mean, if i were in your position, i wouldn’t trust me either. All For One is rising back up from out of the shadows, and suddenly there’s some guy wielding multiple quirks, leading a vigilante group? I’d not trust them either. But my story is a little bit more complex than you think.”

Itsuka hummed, still looking at him intensely.

“You know, I'm starting to think that. You have a lot of quirks you shouldn’t, Izuku Midoriya.”

Izuku chuckled, nodding his head again.

“That I do! Tell me, Kendo, last i heard, besides extraordinary circumstances, anyone with a quirk who takes One for All has their life-span cut in half, I’d have to imagine the 9th wielder would’ve felt those type of effects immediately, but you’re using it like a pro, what’s your secret?”

Kendo honestly wasn’t surprised the boy knew about One for All, she merely shook her head in disbelief.

“Quirk Singularity, Big Hands let it hit that benchmark a little bit early, sparing me the negative side-effects.”

Izuku made a humming noise, nodding his head.

“That’d do it. Have you heard from the vestiges yet? Maybe gotten access to a brand-new power, one unlike anything All Might has ever used before?”

Kendo crossed her arms, still suspicious of the boy, if caught off-guard by simply how much he knows.

“I…no new powers, but I've heard from them, every so often, in dreams. They always seem…confused. I suppose you’re the reason why?”

Izuku chuckled once again, smiling guiltily.

“Hehe, yeah, I suppose they’d be confused, wouldn’t they?”

Itsuka didn’t answer, still watching Izuku. The green-haired boy sighed, before floating slightly in the air, one hand had a blackwhip of energy wrap itself around his forearm, the other began to have purple-smoke drift off of it.

“Blackwhip, Smokescreen, Float. The signature quirks of Diagoro Banjo, En, and Nana Shimura. The 5th, 6th, and 7th wielders respectively.”

Itsuka gasped, eyes widened, All Might…he didn’t talk about his mentor much, after Gran Torino said that Kendo was similar to her, she finally worked up the courage to ask the man about her, and…All Might seemed sad when he talked about her. Izuku smiled sadly, nodding.

“Toshinori Yagi, aka All Might, is the 8th wielder.  If we’re looking at things linearly, from my point of view? You’d be the 10th, but that isn’t really the right description, I suppose we’re both the 9th users of One for All.”

Kendo’s eyes only grew wider and wider, before she could speak, she heard the sound of voices making their way to the clearing, more heroes. Kendo’s eyes flew to Izuku, the green-haired boy looked at her seriously.

“I gotta go, Itsuka.”

Izuku turned around, and began making his way toward the portal, Itsuka called out to him

“Wait!”

Izuku looked back, the ginger-haired girl met his eyes, before letting out a sigh.

“I…All Might asked me to, he asked me to be the next Symbol of Peace.”

Izuku smiled sadly, nodding his head.

“Once upon a time he asked of me the very same. But you won’t get the answers you need if you stay, will you?”

Itsuka shakes her head, before letting out a deep sigh.

“I…still want to do that, become the next Symbol of Peace. But…”

The sound of twigs snapping got their attention, and Itsuka nodded her head, before striving toward the portal with Izuku

“But you guys will give me the best shot at actually saving us all from All for One.”

Izuku smiled at her one last time, and they left together, leaving nothing but an empty clearing behind.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hours after the Summer Camp Invasion, they finally managed to shut-up the damned explosion brat. Drugged the kid to the gills, then tied him up, the group of villains have been mostly enjoying the blissful silence for once, instead of doing any actual planning. Finally, however, the TV behind the bar turned on, it’s screen was black, but a voice spoke through it nonetheless

“How was your mission, Tomura Shigaraki? Was it successful?”

Tomura Shigaraki scratched at his neck in annoyance, taking a drink of his whiskey.

“Partially, Master. We managed to get the boy I wanted, Katsuki Bakugou, but he’s been…uncooperative, we knocked him out and tied him up, but that’s it.”

Tomura’s master hummed, and a second voice spoke up, that of the Doctor.

“Bakugou’s less than stellar reaction to getting 2nd in the Sports Festival is what made you think you can persuade him to our side, yes? That should’ve also demonstrated to you that the boy is stubborn, and has a temper.”

Tomura scowled at the screen, but his Master’s calming voice soothed him

“Relax, Doctor, a minor set-back, one we’ll address once Bakugou has awoken. What of the Hero I requested you kidnap, Ragdoll?”

Tomura scowled again, looking away.

“She…She was rescued as well, those goddamn Vigilante’s showed up!”

His master hummed again, no doubt going over the variables

“That is unfortunate, but we can get our hands on Search later. We should move that little Vigilante Group up in our priorities, wouldn’t you agree, Tomura?”

Tomura nodded, crossing his arms as he thought of it.

“There’s just…one thing I can't understand about them, Master.”

“Oh? What is that, my boy?”

Tomura scowled, shaking his head.

“I don’t know how, but…I think they have multiple quirks.”

The atmosphere in the room grew icy. Tomura practically shivered, he could feel his Master's Killing Intent from so far away…

Explain.

Tomura stumbled over his words, but continued

“T-The Ring-Leader, Sir! He honestly…he honestly behaves how you do. Giving out powers to subordinates, Kyoka Jirou was with them, she fought back with new powers, against Magne and Spinner.”

The icy atmosphere had Tomura frozen with terror, his heart pumping dangerously fast, before it suddenly disappeared.

“That…complicates things, but it’s not something we didn’t already theorize. Luckily for us, I’ve already begun working on counter-measures. I think our next big project, My Boy, would be to discover who exactly is Izuku Midoriya?”
