Chapter Text
Edward woke up around 09:00 the next day.
Which was surprisingly really late for her. Ed was used to waking up around 05:00. But then again, she was also used to falling asleep at 22:00.
So this new schedule was something she was not used to yet.
Despite the late start, Ed jumped out of the bed and began running around that small room.
Ein opened his eyes, semi-annoyed from being awoken like that. He really just wanted to sleep the rest of the day. However, once Edward got up, there was no way he would be able to sleep anymore.
So, he just accepted that fact and stood up before jumping off of the bed like Ed had just done. Ein simply walked across the room where the door was. And he just sat down, waiting for Edward to leave with him.
Which meant that he had to sit and watch while Ed ran around for no reason in particular. She just wanted to get some of her energy out, Ein assumed.
Ein watched her do this for about ten minutes before she finally stopped and took a breather on the edge of the bed for a moment. Ed grabbed her goggles and put them on her face with a big smile before jumping back up once more.
Ed bent down and grabbed Tomato then ran out of the room, with Ein following right behind.
After a few more minutes She was walking back down the street. She remembered that her house was around there. But she couldn't quite place its exact coordinates by heart. Which wasn't exactly something you could blame her for.
She hadn't been there since she was really young. And obviously she couldn't recall her exact address. However, what Edward did know was that she was in its general area.
Which meant, that for the next few hours Ed was wandering around aimlessly.
She was walking, holding Tomato atop her head.
There were, of course, times she'd stop and begin begging people for food.
At the end of the day she got a couple crackers and a small apple. Which Edward ate happily.
The employee just watched her like she was some kind of exotic creature that happened to stumble in to her store.
Finally, once it was beginning to get late she found a place that she recognized. Well- it would be pretty difficult to not recognize your old childhood neighborhood.
