Chapter Text
When Lily finally processed the fact that it was a huge monster in front of her, she jumped into action, holding the heavy sword in her hand barely able to keep it up, but trying nonetheless.
She heard ‘Jas’ scream behind her, “Fuck fuck. SAGITTA! DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR BOW. I DON’T HAVE THAT MUCH POWERS LEFT.”
Sagitta came up to Lily, and tried to grab the sword, “Jasmine. You idiot. Do something with your powers while I take the sword from ‘Horde Scum’ over here.”
Lily screamed in Sagitta’s face, “I’m trying to help you! Use your bows and then I’ll kill him with the sword.”
Saggita left Lily alone for a moment, shooting her bow into the slug, looking afraid when nothing happened, and Lily took that opportunity to run up towards the slug, trying to hit it with the sword, when it felt like time froze around her.
Lily was surrounded by magic, it was filling up every space she could see, like she was transported to another world, and the sword suddenly felt lighter in her hand, weighing less than a ration bar. She felt stronger too, suddenly, like she had magic within her, but that wasn’t possible. She wasn’t a stupid princess, she was a Horde Soldier with a sword.
Her hair started feeling longer, it was all over her back. How did her ponytail undo? It was fight proof? She felt taller too, impossible. Whatever. She felt something on her head, like a tiara but she couldn’t reach her hands up to push it off.
Maybe Lily was in heaven, with all this magical stupid light blinding her.
She blinked a couple of times and then the magical lighting suddenly disappeared, leaving her with the sword in her hands, and a strong feeling in her bones.
Lily ran towards the slug monster, the sword ready to attack it, and hit it right through its chest, it didn’t die, but slowly retreated.
She looked around to see if Jasmine and Sagitta were still around and she saw them staring at her, their mouths agape in shock.
Lily felt uncomfortable, and she said, “What are you staring at? Have you never seen slug blood before?”
Sagitta replied, “Oh what the actual shit. How did you, the stupid horde scum turn into a princess???”
Jasmine nodded in agreement with Sagitta before speaking, “Yeah what the hell Horde Soldier?”
“What? What did you do to me?” Lily screamed towards Jasmine
“What do you mean what did I do to you?” Jasmine shouted back confused
“ Well I didn’t know being a princess was contagious !!!”
Sagitta interrupted their conversion, “Could you at least tell us how you did it Horde Scum? Or Lily whatever the fuck your name is.”
Lily spat out, “I didn’t do anything! All I did was pick up the sword and then woosh I’m in a tiara!”
Sagitta ran towards Lily shouting, “Well we’re not gonna let that happen again Horde Scum.”
Lily started running away, sword heaving in her hands, bringing her down slightly but she was still much faster than Sagitta.
She ran all the way to the center of the woods before she was faced with the slug monster again, this time it was even angrier. Lily tried to turn around but was faced with Sagitta and Jasmine right next to her, too close for comfort.
She felt Jasmine grab her arm and all of a sudden they were somewhere completely different. Lily could barely see any trees and the slug monster seemed to have disappeared.
She shouted, “Where the fuck did you take me? What the fuck was that stupid princess magic??? TAKE ME BACK?!?!?!?!?!?!?!”
Jasmine sighed, “I teleported you with me and Sag so you didn’t die. Appreciate living much?”
Lily replied angrily "I would've rather died to that slug than be stuck with you. take me back, please!"
"No I will not. Don't forget you're our prisoner Horde Soldier. We can do what we want with you."
They all heard a roar of a monster and jumped a little. Lily decided to explore the area they were in and she found a massive weird looking castle.
She tried to read out the words, but before she managed to say them out loud, a voice interrupted her.
Sagitta said, "Well, what did Horde Scum find here? Is that a First Ones building! What does it say?"
Lily replied, "I think it says Hogwarts, or something like that."
At the words Lily spoke, the door to the building opened and Sagitta and Jasmine seemed shocked.
Lily asked, "What? Can you guys not read that?"
They both replied, "No. Nobody can. What kind of weird creature are you?"
“I thought everybody could read that? Maybe you guys are just weird…”
Sagitta said, “That’s literally an ancient language, there’s no way you think it’s normal to read that.”
They heard the slug roar, and Lily said, “Besides the point, maybe let’s go inside?”
Lily ran inside, Jasmine and Sagitta following her. The building was this weird colour, mixing pink and purple together to create a weird gradient. It felt massive, with ceilings at least 50 meters above them creating a massive space that felt too empty for how big it was.
At the left end of the building, there was a massive mural of a woman holding the same sword Lily had found.
They all slowly walked up to it, and Lily was admiring how beautiful it looked while Sagitta and Jasmine had faces of confusion.
Jasmine said, “Horde Soldier that looks exactly like you. When you turned into that big massive princess and scared that monster away.”
Lily was in disbelief, “No way? That is not how I looked, I’m not that tall? Is that really how?”
Sagitta replied, “Yeah, you were like 8 feet tall.” She noticed something written, “Horde Scum you can read that right? What does it say?”
Lily sighed, “Call me Lily. Please.” She inspected the writing, “It says She-Ra. What does that mean?”
Sagitta and Jasmine both gasped, “She-ra? As in The She-ra? The Princess that caused the death of the First Ones? The one sent to save us. You’re She-ra.”
Lily gasped, she couldn’t be. She hated princesses with a passion. There was no way she was She-ra, she was barely 17. She was a Horde Soldier. She didn’t believe them.
Lily said, “I can’t be. That’s impossible. I’m a Horde Soldier. How does that work?”
Jasmine answered, “I guess you have to be. I mean the sword worked for you. And only you. I mean I’m sure Sagitta tried it on the way here and it didn’t work. Horde Soldier She-ra. Perfect thing to give to my mom.”
They were interrupted by a loud beep, coming from the middle of the room.
In the middle there was this massive circle with a button in the middle, big and red. Of course, Lily’s first instinct was to press it, so she slowly walked to the button, not hearing Sagitta or Jasmine speak.
She got super close to it before Jasmine spoke, “I don’t think that’s a good idea Horde Soldier. It might be something dangerous.”
Lily replied, “Better if it’s dangerous then, I can escape from you guys.” and pressed the button quickly.
As soon as she pressed it, Sagitta ran to her, holding her arms behind her back, waiting for something to happen.
When nothing happened Sagitta let her go and sighed, “It was nothing then. Just a stupid old button. C’mon Jas, let’s get out of here with Horde Scum and go back to Bright Moon.”
Sagitta walked towards Jasmine, Lily getting dragged along with her, when a massive hologram appeared out of nowhere.
They all jumped when they heard it speak, “Hello. I am Mcgonagall, what is your query?”
Lily didn’t reply, but tried to struggle out of Sagitta’s grasp, trying to run to the hologram to figure out what was happening. Sadly Sagitta wasn’t letting up, but she was moving closer to the hologram herself, so Lily was dragged along.
Lily felt Sagitta’s grip loosening on her, so she struggled a bit more and managed to escape her grip, immediately running to the hologram.
The hologram was speaking on repeat, “Hello. I am Mcgonagall, what is your query?” and Lily had no idea what to do.
She went up to it, saying “I am Lily. What is this place?” but it didn’t answer her question, just continuing that one phrase.
From her peripheral vision she saw Sagitta and Jasmine come closer to the hologram, and Jasmine tried to touch it, only to wince.
Lily tried to say something again, “I am She-ra. What should I do?”
Then the Hologram moved closer, trying to touch the sword, “Hello She-Ra. What is your query?”
Lily replied again, “I am She-Ra. Open the door please.” And tried touching the hologram
At Lily’s touch the hologram turned red, glitching slightly, and repeated the words, “Lockdown. Lockdown. Lockdown.”
At those words, Sagitta started panicking, saying, “You guys the doors are closing. How are we ever gonna get out?”
Jasmine replied, “I can teleport us out? But I don’t know if I have enough power for the three of us.”
Sagitta said, “Leave the Horse Scum here.”
Jasmine replied, “No. We need her, cause she’s She-ra. I’m sure I can try to teleport the three of us.”
At Jasmine’s words, slug monsters started appearing from the walls. Lily and Sagitta screamed, running to the middle, near the hologram.
“WELL JAS! IF YOU’RE GONNA DO IT, DO IT QUICKLY PLEASE” Sagitta screamed, dodging the slug monsters.
Lily nodded in agreement quickly, and moved closer to Jasmine, hoping to get teleported out of there soon.
She still had her sword in her hand, and decided to figure out how to become She-ra quickly, she seemed to have forgotten the phrase.
Lily looked all around the room, hoping to find a clue to the phrase to transform, and then she saw it. It was written small, under the She-Ra mural. ‘For the honour of Grayskull’.
Lily shouted it, “For the honour of Grayskull” and felt the feeling of transformation.
She felt herself get taller, and the glitter all over her still blinded her, so she couldn’t see anything, not even the sword in her hands. She felt a crown on her hair, and her ponytail magically undo. Lily knew she would never get used to the magical feeling all around her.
The transformation felt like at least an hour but when Lily finally felt the magical glitter surrounding her leave, she could see the slug monsters again and they were at the exact same place as before she transformed.
She ran straight to the biggest slug and dug her sword in it, the slug heavy on her sword. She felt the blood all around her, it made her feel disgusting and sticky, but she still continued running.
Behind her, Lil saw Sagitta killing some of the slugs with the arrows while Jasmine just lingered behind her.
‘Jasmine is pathetic,’ Lily thought to herself, running closer towards them to kill the monster behind them, narrowly dodging one of Sagitta’s arrows.
Lily heard Jasmine and Sagitta talk about when they should teleport, so she got even closer to them, now barely a metre away from them, getting ready to be teleported. She had never known what it was going to be like, but she was somewhat excited.
She heard Jasmine say, “Are you guys ready for the teleportation? I hope I have enough to take us to Bright Moon.”
Lily replied, “Wait? How does it even work?” but before her question could be answered Jasmine touched her and they teleported.
What was merely a few seconds felt like hell to Lily. There was a void surrounding her, it was fully black for a second, and then the colours blinded her. It was like she was dying, but instead of a dramatic and tragic death, she would die to flashing colours blinding her.
After the teleportation, Lily felt dizzy and could barely see, her vision had black spots and was extremely blurry. She felt like she was on the verge of death.
Lily blinked a couple of times and her vision was back to normal, but all she saw was sky.
“WHAT THE FUCK??!?!?!?!?!?!” Lily screamed, realising they were plummeting to the ground in record time, “WAS THIS YOUR PLAN TO KILL ME YOU SICK SICK PRINCESSES?? WHAT.”
She heard Sagitta scream back, “I DIDN’T DO THIS, BUT I’M SURE WE WON’T DIE, JUST GRAB ONTO JASMINE AGAIN.”
Jasmine screamed, “SORRY GUYS MY TELEPORTING DIDN’T WORK BUT I WILL TRY AGAIN.” and grabbed properly onto Lily and Sagitta.
Lily once again felt the pain and dizziness of teleportation, but this time she had the fantastic idea to close her eyes, so when she opened them again, she was on the ground.
Behind Lily, Sagitta and Jasmine were sighing and seemed relieved that they were finally on the ground. In front of Lily was the most beautiful sight she had even seen.
A massive kingdom (queendom), called Bright Moon. Everything was bright and green, the sunlight reflecting off of the castle onto everything else. The houses were all bright and colourful, the greenery hanging off of the houses.
In front of the castle was this massive light blue lake, Lily could see the fish swimming around, it truly looked like paradise. No wonder a princess lived here, who wouldn’t?
Lily slowly walked, letting Sagitta and Jasmine go in front of her, she was just following them.
While they were walking around the back of the town, she was wondering why they weren’t walking straight through the town.
Lily asked, “Where are we going? Aren’t we going to the palace?”
Jasmine replied, “Well yeah of course we are, just through the back way.”
Lily thought nothing of it and continued following them, until they reached what seemed to be the back of the palace.
Sagitta took an arrow and hit it right next to a big circular window, and a rope appeared out of it. She slowly started climbing, Jasmine following her. Lily stayed on the ground, unsure of what to do.
Jasmine exclaimed, “C’mon Lily, follow us up. We’ll show you to my mom soon.”
Lily had no idea what Jasmine meant, but she followed them up on the rope, and went through the window, inside a massive room. The room had a waterfall, and it was so beautiful compared to the Horde.
But before Lily could properly take in the view of the room, she heard a voice from outside, “Jasmine! JASMINE! I just want to talk to you, come out of your room this instant. Sagitta better not be with you.”
Jasmine and Sagitta started freaking out, and told Lily to hide. Lily hid inside the waterfall waiting for what would happen next.
