If Soyeon remembers correctly Yuqi didn’t let go of her for a good 10 minutes just for them to go upstairs and hug more on Yuqi’s bed full of stuffed animals especially all sorts of colourful bunnies
“They seemed to double in numbers” Soyeon said playfully pointing to the toys
“All limited edition” Yuqi said proudly finally giving Soyeon some time to breathe, immediately the korean’s eyes fell on Yuqi’s covered wrist
Yuqi got what she meant and showed Soyeon her wrists proudly showing how the scars only faintly visible
“Im so proud of you love” Soyeon said as she hugged the slightly younger girl
“You didn’t have to worry” Yuqi whispered
“You’re right, I’m sorry for doubting you” the younger one felt a bang of guilt in her chest but didn’t say anything about it, a call from downstairs was heard, Yuqi’s mom made some famous dessert and as cozy as they both are they couldn’t say no to that
Hours seems to go by like minutes and the moonlight was the only light illuminating the room besides a small lamp on Yuqi’s desk a bit far for the bed, Soyeon got out of the shower with damp hair and some pjs on
“Your turn” Soyeon mentioned but Yuqi just shakes her head saying she’s going to do that later
“I don’t think i can ever taste the chinese food in Korea ever again” the older one said as she nested herself on the bed, Yuqi laughed
“I will be sure to tell her that, she’s going to be happy” the younger one said but was slightly zoning out, the older one didn’t comment as she always does
Few minutes of talking goes by and Soyeon fell asleep with Yuqi beside her thats when the younger one finally went to take a shower, moments goes by and Yuqi dried herself as she cursed to herself realising she forgot to bring clothes since she’s used to be alone in the room
Yuqi wrapped the towel around herself and walked out the bathroom to her wardrobe, due to the badly lit room Yuqi bumped into something making a cup falling and waking Soyeon up
Soyeon woke up taking a few seconds but managed to make eye contact with Yuqi, even with the bad lighting Soyeon could see some cuts and bruises? On the younger body, acknowledged the situation Yuqi found herself hiding in the closet, she didn’t want Soyeon to look at her like that she wanted her to keep being proud
“Hey wait” Soyeon said with a rushed tone getting up and walking to the wardrobe
“No! Just go back to sleep..pretend this didn’t happen and continue loving me being proud of me” said a quivering voice from inside
Soyeon somehow always found herself feeling guilty, she was Yuqi’s unnie and leader she’s supposed to care for her and protect her whats the point of loving Yuqi if she doesn’t feel loved
“I always loved you, i always will i still feel proud of you, I’m proud of you for being a great student I’m proud of you for always eating your meals I’m proud of you for being able to take care of yourself when you were away from your loved ones I’m proud of you for always trying even when everything is too much and i will always do” Soyeon whispered loud enough for Yuqi to hear, her thoughts were scattered around and that was the best she could get out at the moment
Soft sniffing was all the older one heard she tried thinking of anything to calm the younger one down so she suddenly sang, a song Yuqi loved when she was a trainee
After finishing singing what she remembers she waited a few moments and the she heard “you promise?” Yuqi said as she slowly open the closet door
Soyeon didn’t know if what she did was right but she started opening the door further immediately holding Yuqi’s full of tears face, holding her so carefully she might hurt her at the slightest rough touch and gave her a small kiss on the younger forehead
“oh.. puppy” Soyeon looked at the newly made cuts on Yuqi’s upper arm and the bruises and burns on her thighs
“I’m sorry” Yuqi couldn’t even look at Soyeon, feeling too ashamed
“Don’t.. just- where are the first aid kit?” When she got the answer the older one went to grab it and came back as soon as she could which wasn’t that long since Yuqi’s parents kept one on every floor
Soyeon sat on her knees in front of Yuqi, the korean one leaned and kissed Yuqi’s right upper arm then cleaning it with rubbing alcohol and wrapping it with a bandage then doing the same for her left arm and both of the younger thighs
Soyeon cupped Yuqi’s face in her hands gently and whispered
“I promise i will, now you need to promise me to always talk to me when you have problems don’t just keep them to yourself, if i can fix them then i will if i can’t then i will try my best to comfort you and be with you i will try my best for you don’t ever forget that”
Yuqi felt something she haven’t felt in a long time and she realised how much she has been craving it
“I promise” the younger whispered back and leaned closer until she was resting her forehead on Soyeon’s
They stayed like that for a few seconds calming down and then the older one saw they were dangerously close so with the last bit of self control she had she said
“You must be cold, let me get you some clothes” Yuqi nodded forgetting the fact she only had a towel on
The older one gave the younger a shirt and pants since that’s what Yuqi have been wearing for months now but she shakes her head, Soyeon looks at her confusedly
“I don’t want to hide anymore..maybe some short sleeve shirt and shorts will be a good start?” Yuqi said regaining hope with Soyeon beside her
Of course Soyeon didn’t object to that she can never object to anything Yuqi said its like a curse the younger had on her
Soyeon gave Yuqi the clothes and turned away giving her some time for change, few moments goes by and she felt hands around her waist as Yuqi nuzzled her head into Soyeon’s neck
“You must be tired, we should sleep” and Yuqi nodded to that as they settled in bed Soyeon held her like she never planned to let go and she wont
Soyeon is going to stay her with Yuqi for as long as she can, she can careless about her job but then again she can do it without being present Yuqi is more important anyway
Yuqi felt the hope she had when the group had their first win and of course Soyeon is with her at both times, Soyeon was her hope.
