Chapter Text

 “Donnie.”

Donatello heard his name, but it sounded like nothing more than an echo in his daydream. Just something that Jase said as the pair of them kept twirling around an open marble floor to the soothing tune of a piano.

 “Donnie!”

Something soft smacked him on the head and the vision disappeared. He sat up in an instant to see the real Jase frowning at him, pillow in hand.

“Yes?” The turtle glanced around his boyfriend’s bedroom. “What is it?”

“Making sure you’re not falling asleep before dinner.”

Donatello snorted and then laughed as he fell back onto the mattress. “No, no, just letting my thoughts wander as I listen to you play.”

Jase huffed and returned to his keyboard. “It’s not even that good. It’s just practice.”

“It’s still lovely.” Donatello curled up as the piano keys chimed through the room again.

“What are you thinking about?” Jase asked as he kept playing.

Donatello hummed, debating if he should even say. Part of it felt so utterly embarrassing, but the two of them exchanged their self-ship fanfics so could it really be worse than that?

“I am thinking about us at some kind of… fancy party. The kind that has a big dance floor. High ceilings, chandeliers, a live orchestra, pristine marble floors.” He rolled back and forth a couple of times. “Maybe with matching suits even. Just dancing out on the floor.” He pressed his hands against his cheeks when he rolled this time.

“Does a place like that even exist in the states?”

Jason’s question broke the illusion in an instant and the softshell froze. “Well… maybe not? Just a dream.” He let his arms flop to the side, one hanging off the bed as he stared at the ceiling. “I suppose even if it did, we wouldn’t be able to attend.”

“I mean…” The music got slower and slower. “I told you that dad invited us to go with him to that one bar.”

Donatello barked out a laugh. “Well, yes, but between me not being ready to meet his partners and the fact that dancing in a bar is very different from a ballroom… I suppose that will be something though, one of these days.”

“They might do slow dancing. The other bar I go to with my dad does slow dances sometimes.”

Maybe, but it still wouldn’t be the same. Donatello just didn’t have the words to explain it. That the reason it felt like a fantasy was only due to the location.

But he could probably settle for slow dancing in a gay bar that was open to mutants. Jase would be there, after all.

The music stopped. Donatello almost sat up to check on why when his boyfriend dropped onto the bed next to him, also staring upwards.

The softshell struggled for a second to free his arm from under Jase, then reached down to take his hand.

Jase mumbled, “We should get up and do some dinner prep so Dad has less to worry about when he gets home.”

Donatello hummed in agreement, but neither of them moved.

 “Any second now…”

That got Donatello to snort and then laugh again. Finally he sat up and then pulled his boyfriend along with him.

Jason helped his father finish up the dishes after Donnie finally went home. The turtle had permission to stay—he almost always did—but with an early meeting at work tomorrow he decided to go home.

He glanced at his father who hummed as he kept taking rinsed dishes to store away in the dishwasher.

 “Hey, Dad?”

 “Yes?”

“You don’t happen to know of any fancy dance venues, do you?” Jason handed him the last pot. “Or events? That also allows mutants?”

His dad chuckled and shut the dishwasher. “That allows mutants? Can’t say that I do, I’m afraid.”

Yeah, Jason figured it was a long shot, but he had to try anyway.

“Why? Want to take Donnie somewhere special? You don’t have an anniversary or anything coming up, do you?”

“Nah.” Jason waved a hand. They were still a ways out from coming around to one year, and he didn’t care to do monthly anniversaries like people in high school loved to do. “It was just something he talked about. Figured I could at least look around.”

His father hummed and leaned his hips against the counter. “Do they have any fancy venues down in that place where he works? The yōkai place?”

Jason blinked a couple of times. “I don’t know. I feel like if they did, he would have mentioned them.” Then again he couldn’t say how much Donnie actually explored the city. He’d only taken Jase to a handful of regular places. “But Holly Blue might know if there is.”

“Ask her then.” His father grinned and pushed away from the counter, aiming for the door. “And let me know if you need extra dance lessons.” He snickered, clearly meaning it as a joke.

 “Hey, Dad?”

 “Hm?”

Jason crossed his arms. “I probably need extra dance lessons.”

His father stared at him for a second, eyes wide and mouth slightly open. But then it broke back into a grin. “Sure, but if you want something more formal you’ll wanna talk to Manny.”

 “Manny?”

“Yeah, did we never mention to you that he used to do ballroom competitions?”

Jason squinted, taking a moment to try and imagine his father’s partner doing that sort of thing. It got a bit easier when you pictured him in something other than his leather clothes that he was almost always wearing.

“Why did he quit?” Jason had to ask.

His father shrugged. “He got bored, sort of. Said he got tired of the strict routine of it all and also definitely didn’t want to do it for a living. Plus, ballroom classes are stupid expensive. Biggest reason I never signed up.” He laughed again. “Anyway, I’m going to get ready for bed. Let me know if you want Manny’s number.”

Probably wouldn’t be the worst idea. Jason really should make an effort to get to know his father’s partners more. “Alright, night Dad.”

 “Night kiddo, love you.”

 “Love you too.”

Getting the chance to speak to Holly Blue where Donnie wouldn’t overhear was challenging to say the least. Not like the wasp had any kind of phone. And the only places Jason would bump into her would be the lair—crowded—or Donatello’s lab where Donnie would always be.

But just as Jason considered asking Leo to help him set up a meeting again, opportunity struck. After dropping off some more requests on Donnie’s desk, she stated she planned to pick up some stuff from Bueford’s. Jason offered to go with her.

Donnie almost went too, but Jase managed to convince him to start going through the request list and they’d be back soon with coffee and bagels.

Holly Blue, however, must have seen right through him. No sooner had they left the lab, she asked, “So what are you so desperate to speak to me about?”

Jason flinched and put his hands in his pockets. “I mean, I wouldn’t say desperate, I’m just trying to plan a surprise for Donnie. If I can?”

Her antenna wiggled as she looked down at him. “Oh? Do tell.”

“Ah, just that, he talked about wanting to go to some kind of fancy venue with a ballroom. Is there any place in the city that does that?”

Holly Blue tapped the end of her cigarette holder against her mandibles. “While there are very high class places around here, a lot of them only host events for specific crowds.”

“So not something I can sign up for?”

“No. But you’re in luck.” She squinted at him, smiling. “I have a lot of connections and could probably get us into a rather fancy gala within the next month. If you go as Donatello’s plus one, it should work out fine.”

Jason’s heart skipped a beat. “Really?”

“Of course.” She took a breath from her cigarette and blew the smoke away from him. “Though I will have to get Donatello something nicer to wear.”

He bit his lip, rolling it between his teeth. “Think maybe I could get something too? Matching suits?”

Her wings buzzed. “Oh, just tell me all of your plans. I am eager to see Donatello’s face when he sees it all.”

Jason huffed, but still smiled. “Well…”

Donatello stretched his arms up and leaned back until his spine and his shoulders popped. He’d probably spent too many hours drawing blueprints. He thumbed through the stack of papers, wishing Jason was around to critique them. But his boyfriend claimed he was too busy today.

Which frustrated him a bit. His boyfriend had been busy a lot these past couple of weeks. Either they both had work or Jase had something to do that night. It’d almost be suspicious if April didn’t invite them to another double date that Jase agreed to. This one went a lot better than the first.

Maybe he was just caught up with doing something with his father. Donnie wouldn’t ask him to interrupt that.

A knock came from the front door to his lab and a moment later Holly Blue stepped inside. She came over with a small wooden box—his latest paycheck no doubt—and placed it on the corner of the desk.

“Not in the middle of something, I hope.” She glanced over the blueprints.

“Nah, I should probably take a break.” He popped his back again.

“You’ll be taking more than a break. We have somewhere to be tonight.” She turned around and waved for him to follow. “Come along.”

“Huh?” Donatello wasn’t even sure he heard that right. “We have plans tonight?” Did he just forget about that?

“Yes, now come on. We need to get your suit.”

“Suit?” He shouted this time and scrambled out of his chair. “For what? Where are we going?”

Holly Blue giggled and put a finger to her mandibles. “It’s a surprise. Now let’s go.”

“Holly.” Donatello whined but still followed her outside and waited for her to lock the door. “You know how I feel about things being suddenly added to my schedule.”

“You will appreciate it.” Her eyes flashed at him. “You trust me, don’t you?”

Donatello let out an exaggerated sigh, but kept walking. “Yes.”

It took about ten minutes to walk to Efri’s shop. The entire time Donatello kept trying to ask questions to get an idea for what this surprise event was supposed to be, but Holly Blue was tight jawed as ever.

They stepped into the little shop, the bell above the wooden door announcing their arrival. Donatello thought he really should come in here more. The whole place felt cozy despite the crowded clothing displays. Lines and circles of hangers were full of clothing in all kinds of shapes and sizes.

But that wasn’t the only thing. The entire wall was decorated with fabrics ranging from tapestries to crochet pieces. All the wooden fixtures and even the main desk were painted in vibrant colors and covered in star patterns. And of course there was the little fenced off corner where a hedgehog lived.

Nothing odd about it, just a hedgehog, evidently related to Efri’s husband who was a mutated one. Not that Donatello had met the husband yet.

“Ah, Holly, there you are.” Efri approached. The oni was fitted in an elegant robe as always, his long hair pulled up in a ponytail while sets of the white strands were adorned with beads. “And hello, Donatello, it’s been a while.”

Donatello let out a nervous laugh and ran a hand over his jacket sleeve. Efri had been the one to make it. “Yeah, I keep myself busy.”

“So I’ve heard, but I’m glad you’re here. I need to refresh your measurements.” The oni produced a line of measuring tape from his sleeve and approached.

Donatello took off his jacket and handed it to Holly Blue. “Not going to have me pick something out?”

“Oh, that has already been taken care of.” Efri smirked and all four of his eyes narrowed for a beat. Then he measured from Donnie’s hip to his shoulder before checking his legs as well. “Hm, taller than last time indeed.”

Holly Blue sighed. “Indeed. I worry he’s going to catch up to me at this rate.”

Donatello frowned. “It’s not that much taller, is it?”

Efri took his jacket and folded it over one of his four arms. “I may adjust the size of this as well while I work. Arms out.”

Donatello did as he was told, letting the oni check length after length. The process didn’t bother him as long as no one touched him to move him around.

Finally he curled the tape up and stepped away. “This could take a few minutes. Holly Blue, your dress should be ready if you want to try it on.”

 “Of course, the usual spot?”

Efri waved the wasp toward it and then retreated to a separate room. Donatello was left standing there still near the entrance, a little unnerved by the silence. There wasn’t even another customer in here right now.

 “Pastry?”

Donatello almost jumped right out of his scaly skin at the sudden voice. He turned and then found himself looking up slightly at a person absolutely decorated in bright orange spines. They sprouted from his head and his elbows, and in spite of his sharp teeth his expression was soft and friendly with a slight smile on his face.

In his hands was a tray covered in the pastries in question, of various kinds it seemed.

Donatello decided to take one that reminded him of raspberry, almost smelled like it too. “You must be… Efri’s husband?”

The mutant chuckled. “Yaes, my name is Caelus.”

Donatello nodded. “He mentioned that you’re a mutant. Have you always lived down here?”

“Yaes.” He nodded confidently then tapped at his chin. “Well, there was a brief time I wandered the surface with my mother. But I followed some yōkai down here and well… here I am.”

What, not going to reveal the story of how he got married? Donatello felt tempted to pry but let it go as Caelus walked off with the tray.

He ate the entire pastry—very good if not a little bit too sweet—and finally Efri emerged with a hanger in his grip. A suit, of course, but the grey jacket and the pants took him off guard.

“Hang on, who picked out a grey one?” Donatello gestured to it. “No offense if it was you, of course, but my color is more—”

Efri opened the jacket to reveal the purple dress shirt that matched the color of his mask.

“Oh, okay, I suppose that works.”

The oni smirked. “Try it on and tell me what you think. There’s a tie and a belt as well.”

“Yeesh.” Donatello took the hanger and then picked up one of the sleeves. The exterior felt a bit rough, but the interior was the same kind of silky texture of his favorite jacket. “Are we attending a party for a monarch or something?”

“Hah, not at all.” Holly Blue re-emerged and looked even more stunning than usual. Her dress was such a deep blue it made the glitter on it look like stars in the night sky. A low v-neck and a split along one leg, while still making room for her wings and her abdomen. She even had one matching sandals.

Donatello blinked. “Not making a convincing argument while wearing something like that.”

She laughed and waved her hand. “Try your suit on, hurry. We don’t want to be late.”

Donatello rolled his eyes but did as he was told.

Donatello wouldn’t tell Holly Blue how much he actually liked the suit. She probably had a guess anyway given how much time he spent posing in front of the mirror and taking a few selfies. His admiration for the outfit only increased when he was allowed to pick out some jewelry and she added some makeup to his mask.

He decided not to go too flashy, sticking with some eyeliner, a splash of silver shadow, and some gorgeous pins to put along the collar of his coat. A couple of purple stones to dangle from the ear covers of his goggles didn’t go amiss either.

With dressing up finally done, the pair headed off to… wherever they were going. Holly Blue still hadn’t told him.

Rather than walk again, she called for a carriage. The ride took almost twenty minutes and Donatello couldn’t help but raise his brows at the massive Japanese style castle they approached. The four story building was wider at the base and narrower at the top. The corner of every layer of roof held a massive ornate lantern with lights strung between them. Trees somehow grew around the outside, though not the kinds that would grow on the surface. While they had hardly any leaves to speak of, they had hundreds of blue blossoms along their branches.

Donatello jumped down from the carriage after Holly Blue. “This even seems fancier by the minute. Can I at least know what it is?”

“I was invited to a sort of charity auction, you could say.” Holly Blue pulled out what looked like a pair of invitations from her purse as they headed down the long path toward the main gate. “This part of the event is just for donors to mingle, eat, and dance.”

“Ah, I see.” Donatello put a hand to his chest. “And knowing how prolific I am on my feet, you just had to invite me.”

Holly Blue hummed along with her wings. “Actually, I did not necessarily invite you. Ah, there they are.”

They? Donatello had to lean around her to see who she was referring to.

He first noticed Hueso standing about five feet from the gate. Between the bright red dress shirt and small golden pins lining in his suit jacket, it was impossible to miss him.

But then Donatello glanced at the person standing next to him.

His steps came to an immediate halt as he stared at Jason. How the hell did Donatello not notice him first? The deep purple of his suit wasn’t only stunning, but the whole thing was decorated with a faint scale pattern. It matched well with his tie that had a dragon twirling through it with its mouth open toward the bottom. The bright purple stood out even more against his pale grey button up shirt.

But that wasn’t all. Even from here Donatello could see the faint eyeliner drawn along his already sharp eyes. He had on a single dangling earring in his left ear. And for the first that Donatello had ever seen, his boyfriend had his hair pushed back and away from his face.

The soft shell couldn’t manage to do anything but stare.

Jase definitely looked at him, even met his gaze a few times. His cheeks turned red and eventually he stepped over.

“If you just keep standing there, we’re going to miss the party.” Jase mumbled.

The only thing Donatello could manage to say in response was, “You’re stunning.”

The blush deepened and Jase rubbed the back of his neck. “What, is it the eye liner? My dad had to fight me over it and I finally caved.”

Donatello reached up to run his fingers against the earring before resting his palm on Jason’s cheek. He almost regretted the decision, since it covered up the beautiful lines and angles of his face. “I feel like I’m staring at the featured sculpture in a museum.”

Now the redness in Jase’s skin traveled to his ears and his neck. “Donnie, be serious.”

“I am completely serious.” He could probably spend the next twenty minutes waxing poetry about his boyfriend, but he still felt a little confused. “But what is going on?”

Jason sighed. “You said you wanted to go dancing at a fancy ballroom. Holly Blue said this would be our best bet.”

“Wait.” Donatello let go. “You planned this?”

Those dark eyes flicked up to his before looking away again. “Yeah, mostly. Holly Blue told me about this event when I asked about venues.” Then he reached out to adjust Donatello’s shirt collar and wrap his fingers around the black tie that was decorated with purple pixels. “Picked out your suit too. Looks good on you.”

Donatello leaned forward to get their faces much closer together. “Yeah? So does yours, Little Dragon.”

Jason tightened his grip only to let go when Holly Blue approached.

“Come on, you two.” She had one of her lower arms hooked around Hueso’s. “You can flirt more when we’re inside.”

So Donatello took a step away from Jase and offered his arm… at the same moment his boyfriend did. The pair of them wound up laughing before finally hooking their elbows together and following Holly Blue inside.

The interior of the castle was even more elegant than the outside. It wasn’t marble floors or gilded columns that he dreamed about, but the wooden floors had just enough polish to pretend they were stone. Not to mention the pattern of it, little wooden pieces slotted together in a series of triangles of all things. A massive chandelier still hung in the center, covered in crystals of various colors. A live orchestra played on a stage and a whole crowd of guests milled about on the outskirts of the floor while the center remained open for dancing.

Donatello could already smell the food. Judging from the sugar in the air it was mostly desserts, but he picked up the smell of some smoked meats and vegetables as well.

Jason lowered his arm to take Donnie’s hand instead. “Pretty nice in here, I think.”

“It’s gorgeous.” Donatello kept marveling at the cravings in all of the trimming. Not to mention the lights dangling from the railing. Some guests were up on the second floor, also milling about with drinks in their hands. Every yōkai here was dressed to impress.

He couldn’t keep the smile off his face and turned back to Jase. “What’s the occasion, anyway?”

His boyfriend shrugged. “Nothing really, I just… wanted to plan something nice for you. You’re always making all those dumb power points or cookies or building me an entire electronic keyboard so…”

“So the bar has been raised then, hm?”

Jase huffed out a laugh. “Please no, I don’t know how I’d ever top something like this.”

“You could figure it out.” Donatello kissed him on the side of the head. He glanced around for Holly Blue, thankfully not hard to find her thanks to her height. Her and Hueso were grabbing drinks by the bar. “Do you want to grab some food?”

“Later.” Jase began to walk towards the center of the room, pulling Donnie along with him. “First, let’s dance.”

Donatello couldn’t help but raise a brow as he followed. Even if he’d coaxed Jase into doing a few more little waltzes from time to time, his boyfriend still barely enjoyed dancing. But the confidence on his face right now was unmistakable.

 He quickly figured out why.

Donatello could count the beats for a swing as the orchestra faded into a new tune. He wondered how to start instructing his boyfriend through the dance when Jase turned to face him and suddenly took the lead.

Donatello had to snap his brain out of its shock as he held Jase’s hand and tried to follow along. It actually took half a minute for either of them to completely stop fumbling. Jason stepped too far back at one point and Donnie moved too fast, but any shoulder bump or trip was met with laughter before they finally hit the rhythm of the song.

Donatello simply had to ask, “When did you learn to dance?”

Jase smirked. “My dad’s partner, Manny. He knows a lot about ballroom, it turns out.”

He feigned as gasp as Jase led him into a twirl. “You were practicing behind my back? Wait, is that why you’ve been so busy?”

His boyfriend laughed. “Yeah. I wouldn’t call myself an expert, but at least now I can keep up with you.”

“Is that so?” Donatello grinned. “We’ll see about that.”

The swing tune faded into a samba, and to the turtle’s delight, Jase didn’t even hesitate.

Jason might have gotten better at dancing, but he still only had so much stamina for it.

Still, sticking it out for at least ten songs was fairly impressive. Donnie left him to catch his breath against a column as he darted off to grab them both drinks and a light snack.

He couldn’t help but reach up and fiddle with his earring as he waited. He’d never worn long ones before. Even when he got his lobes pierced in high school behind his mom’s back due to Kendra’s insistence, it’d always just been studs. He kind of wanted to get more piercings in his ears.

Then he reached up to check on his hair. A few strands had fallen out of place, but it still felt weird not to have it on his forehead and the tips of his ears.

He couldn’t help but pull out his phone and look at his texts, staring at the selfie he’d sent to Manny and Angie before leaving the house.

Manny commented that Jase looked so much like his father it was scary.

Jase hated that he could really see it now.

Someone stood in front of him. Somehow Jason felt the presence before he actually saw anything. He glanced up slightly, hoping it was Donnie, but instead his eyes met a deep maroon suit before going higher and higher to the face of a red dragon.

The yōkai towered over him, and so did the other two dragons that lingered by his side. The eyepatch over his eye couldn’t just be decorative either judging by the scar that peeked out from underneath.

Jason swallowed and put his phone away. “Um—”

“Human.” The dragon growled and leaned toward him. The breath from his nostrils felt like a furnace. His eyes were such an intense shade of blue, they burned. “Why do you carry that scent on you?”

Jason glanced left and right, praying Donnie would be back soon. “What?”

One of the backups with a long neck twisted his head toward him. “Why do you smell like a dragon?”

Jason couldn’t help but blink. “Huh? I… I’m sorry I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

The leader straightened up, hands resting on a cane. “My nose never lies. Your mystics smell like that of a dragon. Why?”

He just got more and more confused by the seconds. “My mystics? I don’t have—”

“Bruce!” Donnie finally arrived to save the day, balancing two glasses in one hand and a plate in another. “I wondered if you’d be attending this event. I see you noticed my partner, Jase.” The softshell came close and stood next to him.

The dragon’s posture relaxed in an instant. “So he’s with you then, hm? Suppose that explains why a human is running around in here in the first place.”

“Indeed, I hope there isn’t a problem.” Donnie kept grinning, but the way he squinted indicated that his words were a threat.

Not that Bruce looked the least bit intimidated, but he did take a step back. “No. But I suggest you don’t leave him alone in a place like this. Not everyone has such a close working relationship with you, remember.”

“So true, thank you for your concern.” Donatello just kept smiling until the dragons retreated. Then he turned to Jason in an instant. “Are you okay? They didn’t threaten you, did they?”

Jason shook his head and took one of the glasses of water. “Not really. They were just interrogating me about how I… smell.” Man it sounded so weird when he put it into words.

Donnie was clearly just as confused as he curled his lip. “Huh?”

“Yeah, I dunno. Something about my mystics smelling like a dragon?” He took a sip of water and stared at the little rolls that Donnie filled the plate with. “But I don’t have any mystics.”

His boyfriend squinted at him before his eyes widened and lit up.

Jason couldn’t help but sweat a little bit more and kept drinking water. He felt like he was standing on the inside of an x-ray.

Donnie blinked the light away. “There isn’t much, but there’s definitely something.”

 “Huh?” Jason squeaked. “How?”

The turtle shrugged. “The Hamato clan has an inherent magic that can be developed not just by people related by blood, but anyone who joins our inner circle so to speak. April and Casey both developed it, so it isn’t that strange that you could as well.”

Jason failed to wrap his brain around the idea of him suddenly getting magical powers. “And why the hell would it smell like a dragon?”

Donnie chuckled and leaned over to kiss his head. “Maybe you just secretly are one.”

“Get real.” He scoffed and finally stole one of the rolls. The bread was full of some kind of meat and… cheese? No, it couldn’t be that, but it tasted enough like it that he wouldn’t complain. Hopefully none of this would give him a stomach ache.

They took a few minutes to eat and drink, sharing a bit of gossip about some of the other attendees. Evidently Donnie knew Bruce because the dragon did a lot of business deals with Holly Blue. A lot of other people here did business with her as well, some more dangerous than others. Donnie insisted that as long as Jase stuck close to him, they shouldn’t cause any problems. Getting on Holly Blue’s bad side was something none of them wanted.

When they finished their snack, Donatello left the dishes on an empty table for an employee to pick up and returned to Jase’s side.

“So.” The turtle held out a hand. “Round two?”

Jason smiled and took it. “Sure. Having fun?”

Donnie tugged him close. “I am having an utterly splendid time. Ready to try something different?”

He tilted his head as they stepped out onto the dance floor. “Different how?”

 “Do you trust me?”

Jason met his boyfriend’s gaze and answered without hesitating. “Yes.”

 “Then just follow my lead.”

Jason did. The pair stepped into a… what was this one again? A viennese waltz? At first they just twirled around the floor until they both fell into rhythm.

Then Donatello suddenly took a step up.

It took Jason off guard, but not enough to make him stop. He followed, just like he said he would, and rose up to meet him. His foot found something solid, and while he didn’t know how it got there, a swift glance down answered his question. Purple, of course, his boyfriend was using his mystics to create platforms.

Jason kept following. They stepped along with the music, sometimes spinning around, but never falling as they went up and up. Finally Jason could see the railing of the second floor, a number of patrons watching them as they continued to practically dance in the air.

Jason didn’t look down again. No doubt the height would make him too afraid to move. Instead he kept his gaze fixed on his boyfriend’s gorgeous face. The liner on his mask wasn’t just there to frame his eyes. Longer lines stemmed from the ends like feathers. That silver eyeshadow kept glittering under the light.

“Donnie?” Jason said as the song began to fade and they slowed their steps.

 “Yeah?”

“I really really love you.” Jason smiled. “Two reallys.”

His boyfriend beamed at him and pressed their noses together in an instant. “I really really love you too.”

 And Jason believed him.

I arguably could have written more, I always can with these two, but ultimately I don't think I could have ended this chapter fic better than that.

Either way, thanks for reading! I'll probably end up writing more jasonnie down the line though I won't make promises for more chapter fics (but who knows?) You can always check this Master Post on my tumblr for my drabbles. I'll likely take some more prompts for these boys to write.

And you can always shoot me asks on there about them. I love talking about my adopted son. (Or just ask your questions here if you don't have a tumblr!)

Anyway see y'all around
