As Ted ventured up the stairway, he wondered if there was even a way to get out. To leave.
“QUIT THINKING AND MOVE .”
Annoyed, Ted found the doors to the boss’s office. He stepped in but before the doors closed he stepped out. He wasn’t entirely sure in himself.
However, doing this did something. AM was silent. No humming, no remarks, nothing at all. Even the noises in the parable had almost completely stopped aside from Ted’s own footsteps.
All the previous doors that closed had been opened. He could retrace his steps. It was weird, but nice to be away from AM for a bit.
AM? Are you there?
Nothing. No response.
He continued on, back towards the start. Yet, when he arrived, a door was open. He’d never seen it open before.
Hesitantly, Ted stepped into the room. A walkway. Stairs. Still, AM had not spoken.
He walked up the stairways. It kept going on. Eventually he reached a dark room. Ted stepped into it and walked, seeing a light.
There was a red escape pod. As he got closer, all of a sudden, nothing.
