Chapter Text
"You said you needed the money for a new restaurant, and i agreed. Today, your name is on the newspaper for trading in drugs."
Madara turns around in his chair, putting down the neatly folded newspaper. On its first page written *KONOHA Invaded with Drugs?!*, before he gives his attention to the occupants of his personal office room. Three of his close men stand tall and proud before his desk, between them stands with hunched shoulders a man, Kim Volgan, 55 years old 'Businessman' and one of the sub mafia members, someone who's too much of a coward to bite the hand that feeds him, well more accurately, used to be too cowardly to even think of such a thing. Something must have tempted the idiot to do just that. Something that Madara is set on figuring out.
Madara takes in the idiot's shaking form, sweat apparent on his whole face, he will get his disgusting scent in my office, Madara thinks before he addresses the man again "Volgan, If you have wanted to do mafia business you needn't try to get clever just to get money out of my pockets. I would've given you the money regardless, I am not the police to oppose hard working business men doing business stuff."
Madara knows he's talking circles, he just wants to see if Volgan can figure out how much he fucked up with this little stunt. The man proved he actually has more than two braincells in his skull. He would get some amusement out of this before he skins the Volgan alive, maybe set him on fire after that? Yes sounds about right. Killing the fcker with a gun and covering it with the classic suicide just won't do.
Truth be told, Madara couldn't care less what Volgan wanted to do with the money, the fool could've taken the 250.000 dollars and thrown them over a building for all Madara cares for. As long as he was informed precisely that the money was going to be thrown, which clearly was the opposite of what had happened. Not only did Volgan play with his tail and lied to his face , the fcker has gone and joined hands with drug dealers , the scums of breathing meat that resembles human anatomy, with his money.
Now Uchiha Madara isn't a saint, has assassinated his fair share of people and possibly committed enough crimes that staying in jail for the rest of his life wouldn't make up for them. Madara is Mafia through and through ,however being a Mafia man mostly meant having more freedom and surety of applying his justice, not to dress in mysterious dark clothes waving a gun at all that oppose him. But Uchiha Madara has always had his own principles, red lines that he made sure to voice loud and clear for all his enemies and allies. Not hurting women -whether physically or mentally- not getting into Politics -let whoever wins or loses does it in one piece- Madara and his men will not be shortening their life spans, they're not savages. But what would take the top spot on Madara's red lines is that he NEVER ever trades with drugs. Enabling something that would attack the young unsuspecting children and get them killed or utterly destroy their lives, isn't something he wants to dirty his hands with. Madara has taken great pleasure in cleaning the City of any that ever tried to get drugs into Konoha.
He was brought back from his thoughts by the sound of Volgan's hurried begging.
"Madara-sama, forgive me. It was a grieve mistake from me. It will never happen again. I beg you"
"So you have finally become aware of your mistakes. You have been a great man, Volgan. Why would you turn yourself into the scum of a drug dealer?"
"It's all that new man's fault, I tried to refuse their offer before, but the money of drugs was too great to refuse. I was foolish enough to lie to you, Madara-sama. But i swear it will never happen again. Please have mercy on me, i have kids that i can't leave just yet. Please, Madara-sa.."
Madara raised his hand silencing Volgan's ramblings to ask "Who is this 'new man'?"
"A new business man. His name is Zaffer. I didn't meet him personally but his advocate was the one to offer the deal in his name." was Volgan's hurried reply.
Madara spoke before Volgan went back to more useless begging
"Volgan. You lied to my face, took my money and used it in drug deals, then had the audacity to try asking for your life." A brief breath then he continued
"BUT you have been a good follower all these years, and you just confessed your crimes. That earns you my mercy for a peaceful clean death. Rest assured in the after life that your kids would be taken care of. As you know, I am a merciful man."
"Ma....Madara-sama, i beg you. I.."
Madara didn't have to say anything, one hard look at Volgan was enough to make him finally realize his cheap tears, him begging on his knees would only serve to anger him farther. Death is a better fate for him. Madara relaxed back in his chair, a clear sign for everyone that this debacle was over. Hikaku, Madara's cousin and his right hand man, straightened from the wall he was leaning on throughout this whole conversation. "Volgan-san. Let's go." He guided Volgan out of the office with a firm hand on his shoulder.
---------------——---------------——---------------——
"Kim Volgan, the 55 years old honorable business man, was found dead in his car this morning. A bullet through the head from his own gun, with no sign of anyone being in the crime scene during his time of death. The police disclosed its investigation after declaring the reason of death as 'Suicide'.
Brought this news to you.
Park Mari
Channel A."
*The sound of the TV turned off*
"The news of death before breakfast isn't good for appetite at all."
"Whether it's someone's death news or you getting away from certain imprisonment" waving a hand in around in a careless manner, he continued "same thing to me. There's nothing more appetizing than listening to my success being broadcasted on national TV. Or Am I wrong? Ni-san"
"I think I can't deny you your numerous successes, Izuna. Well done otuoto." Madara said, helpless to stop the pride he felt for his younger brother. They used to be 4 proud sons of Uchiha's main family, Inma, Haruma, Madara, and Izuna, but their line of work wasn't safe at the best of times. Especially not when you're considered eligible to lead the family's work, at that time, their family was challenged by some new Mafia Lord wanting to take the reign of Konoha's underworld. Assassination, traps set for them left and right, spies trying to get closer to end their family from the inside. The Uchiha had won and remained at the top but it was paid with the price of their two elder brothers' lives.
Sometimes, Madara couldn't help but wonder if it was truly worth such a price to stay at the top if one couldn't take in the view around him, when you couldn't have the safety to fully fill his lungs with air in fear of the next betrayal to take place. Thankfully Izuna didn't have any interest in leading the family's work, favoring Law School on the Business Major all of his three elder brothers have enrolled in. Madara had been relieved -keyword being "had been"- to think he could get his younger brother out of their dangerous business, letting him handle their other more legal works. Till his brat of a brother stood in front of him after his graduation day to inform Madara that he is going to be his advocate for both illegal and legal business. Something about "Brother you are too trusting for your own good." And "How can you trust whoever is to be your personal advocate won't sell us or worse what if they are so bad they end up putting the whole family in jail?!"
Confronted by Izuna's logic (and unmovable stubbornness) Madara had no other choice but to admit defeat and let his brother be his blackbox. And if the brat was very good at keeping them very safe and their records clean, it simply meant a win for all.
Madara had thought things were getting easier, that he could take a little breather, plan more legal projects, that his reign had been set in stone not to be challenged by any other. Evidently with late Volgan, he had been wrong, someone has been actively making sure Madara stays out of the loop. Finding out about the whispers of drugs sneaking into Konoha's streets, without the permissions of the Uchiha on the matter, was a deeply offending slight against Madara's authority that will not go without heavy repercussions.
"I can hear your thoughts all the way from here. Your brain doesn't work well if you don't feed it first Aniki. Now come here and let us eat breakfast. I am starving!" Izuna addressed him, bringing Madara out of his thoughts and back to the present.
He snorted, then "My brain works fine with or without food. I amn't like some who need to swallow the whole kitchen before they're able to remember their own names." he said pointedly, to which Izuna glared at him.
"That's because my brain is so big it needs all the extra Glucose it can get! Do you know how much information i need to memorize to recite later at the judges? Being and advocate isn't easy like dramas make it seem!"
Madara looked his brother in the eyes very unimpressed with his ridiculous whining. He sighed when Izuna kept staring (glaring) back at him, the stubborn brat, before he sat down at the table starting on his breakfast.
They finished their food in comfortable silence and after their tea tray was served, Izuna was the one to break the silence. "So, what is our next step going to be?"
Madara took a sip of his tea, taking the chance to organize his thoughts, he said "I trust you have looked up this mysterious Zafar man and his advocate?" upon Izuna's nod, he continued "Then our next step is to gather everyone and test their waters. See who our allies are and who are planning to go against our rules."
another sip of his cup "With Volgan's death so fresh, better hit the metal while it's hot. Contact everyone to gather tonight, they must have already anticipated this much. We will plan how to proceed after tonight."
"Understood brother, I will inform Hikaku and our men to prepare themselves as well." Izuna said. "Do you have plans this afternoon?"
"Yes. I am going out for a little walk around the city, and may go to the shore. Haku will drive me, don't worry."
Izuna nodded at that, he wished Madara good time then excused himself to get started on his duties.

Driving through the unfamiliar streets of Konoha wasn't as hard as she expected. She had her GPS set to the address of the Police station, which surely made navigating her way through the streets much easier, getting lost wasn't what she was worrying about. Not to be arrogant but Tobirama knows she's an amazing driver. She got her driver's license when she was freshly eighteen, she used to drive the Police car all the time, chasing criminals on the dirty streets and alleys without a hitch. But this new......car that her elder brother bought her as a congratulatory gift for her promotion was more of a spaceship than an actual car. The first time she came across this "car", she was so confused. It literally looked like a polished huge rock on wheels -it struck the mental image of a weird car with no mustache- she wasn't even sure if she would've been able to drive such a thing, what with its need of special charging station instead of he usual gas station because the spaceship-turned-car actually worked on electrical power. Her honorable elder brother has assured her that it is in fact a car. Yes, Konoha had such stations and all the required facilities for the car. Yes, all the paperwork was finished and she can drive it as she likes with no worries. No, she can't drive the usual cars provided to her as a Police instead because "OMG TOBI, Can you please accept your so much deserved gift like a normal person for once?" . Pot meet kettle. Her brother is a HYPOCRITE! As if a "normal person" would gift a spaceship to start with. Oh and did she mention the price? Because Tobirama was sure with the price of 3 of these, she would be able to solve the poverty problem of their country. Which , now that she is thinking about it, she has to be a good little sister and thank her brother for his thoughtful gift. Waiting for him to pick up then
"Tobira-chan calling me first thing in the morning. Have i died and gone to heaven?!"
"You have two seconds to come up with a good convincing excuse as to where did you get all that money from? Hashirama, you know that i won't snitch on you if you happened to have rubbed a bank to buy me this car just because you thought i would be happy, right?"
Booming laughter answered her on the other side before Hashirama tried to get some words out, failed, continued to laugh, then he managed to calm himself enough to speak
"Y..your...haha....love for me is so deep, i am honored to have a loving sister so willing to cover up on my supposed crimes. I will keep that in mind the next time i rub a bank, thanks."
"I am still waiting for the actual answer to my question. I know you working as a Cardiologist pays you well, but it can't be THIS well. Hashirama don't say it" Tobirama let out an exaggerated loud gasp before she continued "Your abysmal luck in the betting pool has worked in your favor?!"
"OH NOW YOU'RE PLAYING DIRTY TOBIRA. Putting salt on my wounds like that."
Tobirama let out a quiet laugh, yet could be heard on the other line of the call.
"Ease your worries, i haven't defected and committed a crime. You remember that patient i complained about how risky his case would be?"
letting out a quiet hum in answer, Tobirama took the next right turn while Hashirama continued his explanation
"So we were able to handle his case pretty well, calling it a miracle wouldn't be an exaggeration. He was so thankful to me that he wanted to give me a personal gift. Obviously i refused, turns out he was the owner of the hotel to the conference i attended last July in Rome. He was there with his friend who happened to be the owner of the company that manufactures these cars and he was the one who offered me one as a gift, something about supporting young talents or whatever rich people got in their heads. And that's how the 'Tesla Cybertruck' that is so special for only selective high figures came to be your gift."
Good thing she has already stopped the car for the signal so she is able to stare in disbelief at her phone because What. The. Hell.
"Anija. You can't lie to save your life." ignoring her brother's indignant stuttering on the phone, Tobirama said "You stealing a band is more believable than whatever this story is. Good thing you never went with your dreams of being a writer, you would've been BROKE."
"Are you even my sister? First of all, i would've been an AMAZING writer thank you very much. Second of all, i am telling the truth! I too thought it was a joke till they contacted me to finish the papers related to it. I happened to see it before i prepared for it to be shipped to your new house, but i want to know your thoughts on it. I read that it's super anti-breaking or something. Have you even figured out how to drive it?" Hashirama asked the last question in a doubtful tone. Sure as hell doing it to get back at her for her teasing. Tobirama snorted loudly "You never knew me a day in your life if you think a mere car would pose a challenge to ME."
"As expected from my sister, humble as ever. How are you handling your move in Konoha?"
"I am still figuring out the city's outline, which won't take me longer now that i am starting my job today."
"Oh that's good. I will try to arrange my schedule to visit you soon, but can't make any promises as to when."
"Hm just don't make it a surprise visit so i can actually arrange my schedule to be able to spend some time with you this time."
"Yeah yeah. Take care"
"You too." Tobirama said before the call ended. As she was about to drive oast the signal, it happened. Another car? has just hit into the back of her car.
Amazing. Tobirama muttered before she truned off the engine and got out to see the extent of the damage that was done.
---------------——---------------——---------------——
40 minutes ago
"Good afternoon Madara-sama. I am so honored to be in your care today." said a very excited, evidently not Haku voice.
Madara was confused upon recognizing that Kagami, Haku's younger brother, was the one seated behind the driving wheel. He asked "Hello, Kagami. Where's Haku?"
"Brother got sick, something he ate wrong in his breakfast, he wouldn't have been able to drive you safely. This is why i came instead of him."
Madara looked at the younger man with doubt clear on his face, Kagami huffed before he pulled out something from his pocket. He showed Madara his driver's license as if that was any assurance.
"Don't worry Madara-sama. I am a skilled driver."
Madara wasn't certain of that, he wasn't going to any busy places so he supposed it would be safe to let Kagami play grown-up adult role for a few hours. What's the worst that could happen anyway?
---------------——---------------——---------------——
Crushing into the back of a huge moving rock is what could happen apparently. Madara thought with dread. He didn't know how Kagami managed to not see something this huge in the middle of the day, he was driving smoothly up till now. No way around this. Madara sighed before he got out of the car to the apparently a car? when he realized someone was coming out of it.
Two things happened at once. One, Madara has just seen the most beautiful woman his eyes ever landed upon. Two, his heart got broken the moment he saw she had a police belt around her waist. Fantastic, the hot lady is a ticket to forbidden love story. Madara thought before walking up to the lady to talk to her.
"Excuse me for the trouble, it seems my driver wasn't able to see your vehicle." He said.
"No, it's fine. It seems that the rumors about the car being made of steel just got proven right in front of my very eyes." The hot lady said before she looked at his car and winced. Madara followed her line of sight then he grimaced as well.
"Seems like your car was the one to take the whole damage."
"You don't need to worry about any compensation, I can take care of this much. It's fine." Madara hurried to say, but all it earned him was a single eyebrow raised and wow those were such pretty eyes.
"I wasn't worried anyway, as you are in no place to demand compensation when you're the one in the fault. If my car had suffered even a single scratch YOU would've been the one to compensate me, Mister." The hot lady said. And what's up with that haughty note her voice has gained now? Before he could say anything to that, she continued "Actually i would like if you're amenable to come to the police station to record this accident. It wouldn't do to let this go unrecorded then fall into problems when you later try to pin this on me."
He takes it back. This lady is NOT hot. She's too arrogant to be considered attractive even! What's up with her response he was simply trying to be nice! Madara felt his hands clench as he tried to reign in his temper. He spoke as calmly as he could "That's awfully presumptuous of you towards someone you just met. using 'when' as if it was a given that i would try to do something so dishonorable."
"How am i supposed to know you're an honorable man or not? You just said it yourself, i just met you, this doesn't need to be complicated it's simply something of a routine to protect us both."
Madara felt his jaw drop with the sheer audacity of this woman. Saying he isn't honorable???! Who does she think he is! He is a very honorable man thank you very much.
"With all due respect, i no longer care about going to filing a report of this incident. And hence your car is as good as a new-"
"It's new"
"I would like to finish my talk without being interrupted thank you. " He said through gritted teeth "As your car suffered no harm while my car's left flashlight is now broken, I don't see how this could get you in trouble later so I would like to politely decline your offer. Now excuse me i will take my leave." He finished his talk feeling pleased as he realized the NOT hot lady became irritated the more he spoke. Good, won't do if i am the only one pissed in this convo. He thought. As he made to turn back to his car a hand shot up and held his arm, bringing him to a halt before forcefully turning him around. She said "I think you've mistaken some of my words, Mister. It wasn't an offer, I was merely informing you what is going to happen." She said before she proceeded to move him towards her car.
"Wh....WHAT ARE YOU DOING DRAGGING ME LIKE THAT?!"
"I am taking you to the police station. Now please stop resisting and get into the car." She said before pushing him into her weird vehicle, if asked later, the only reason why Madara went along with her. He would say that apparently when confronted with a blunt, boorish INSULTING behavior from a hot woman, his brain apparently gets too stunned to do anything.
*Meanwhile in the driver's seat of Madara's car, Kagami witnessed his brother's boss get arrested for a car accident he himself was the one responsible for. He freaked out.*
---------------——---------------——---------------——
*Back in the police station*
"Ya! Who are you? How do you have a gun?"
Ramo yelled at the white haired lady after he regained his wits. She didn't even have the decorum to acknowledge what he said, merely looked at him before she continued to walk. As if she wasn't dragging one of their city's highest figures beside her.
"Yo!! Lady!! I am talking to you"
"Figured. Get outta my way."
This.....Is she for real??? He thought indignantly, He addressed the man next.
"Madara Uchiha-san?" the man at least acknowledged his existence with a nod, Ramo continued "I am sorry for what's happening, we will know what's happening soon enough don't worry, sir"
They barely entered the station before another loud screeching of car wheels was heard, then another man in an expensive looking suit, with low silky ponytail and glasses on his rather impressively high nose, and a lawyer's hand bag. He walked up to them in wide confident strides, then
"My name is Uchiha Izuna, i am the legal counsel of Mrs. Uchiha Madara here." He said extending his hand towards the white haired lady.
"Nice to meet you, Izuna-san. I am Senju Tobirama, Chief Officer of Konoha's police."
They ignored Ramo's pointing finger while he made sounds not different from a seal.
"I would've pointed out that any and all statements made by my client prior to my arrival are to be considered inadmissible, but figures out I arrived just in time before any proceedings took place so now I would like to know why my client is getting arrested without any warrant, Mrs. Senju?"
"I think there's a misunderstanding here, Izuna-san. Your client isn't being arrested by me, i am merely guiding him into the station to issue a report of the car accident that took place this afternoon regarding his car hitting mine. Now that you're here maybe you can help explain this better to your client as he has been.......hard to deal with."
Tobirama and Izuna turned in unison to look at Madara, amused and glaring looks on their faces respectively. Madara swallowed upon seeing the look on Izuna's face, he inherited their mother's silent stare that promised that he was in deep troubles and they would talk about it later.
---------------——---------------——---------------——
"Aniki, seriously you need to call me yourself especially when it comes to things that have to do with the police. Do you have any idea how worried i was when Kagami called me crying about how you have been arrested??? Saying it's his fault, i couldn't get any details on what happened. I nearly broke every traffic signal to get here fast enough. All of that just to find you too busy ogling the new Chief officer to pick up your damn phone!"
"THERE WAS NO SUCH A THING SUCH AS OGLING."
Izuna glared hard at him.
"Okay, maybe i looked once or twice but that's it. Also i couldn't pick up the phone because i accidentally left it in her car while she was dragging me out. If i was able to reach it, i would've called you first thing."
"You should've called me the moment you got into her car, not wait till you reach the station." Izuna said through gritted teeth. Seriously his older brother was an idiot. He turned to his sulking brother, sighing before he said "I arranged everything for tonight, everyone would be waiting for us in Kara Zola. We need to drive back so you can refresh yourself before the meeting."
"Yeah, thank you. Time to get back to business."
They had a hard night ahead of them. Madara put the whole afternoon debacle out of his mind to focus on what would unfold from now on.
