Chapter Text
It was good to be back home with Kei. While he was only away for a few months those exact months felt excruciatingly long for Noah.
Ever since he returned back, Noah has slept next to Kei in the same bed every night.
Although they did have their own rooms, there was a room specifically for them to share.
After all, Noah had many available and free rooms at his place, what’s wrong with one being used for this purpose?
Kei had fallen asleep on top of him but he didn’t mind.
The weight of Kei sleeping on him made him feel grounded to something, constantly reminding him that he was still alive.
Noah: (Kei is cute today as well.)
He could admire his lover’s sleeping face all day but he knew he should get up and at least make breakfast for this lover.
Noah tried to gently move the love of his life off of him and get out of bed but to his surprise, Kei stuck clinging to his body.
Noah: (Oh no…Did I wake him up?)
He would feel bad if he did but Kei seemed slightly out of it. As if he was awake but not fully yet, as he followed Noah around, hugging him like a koala.
Noah: (How cute…)
Noah didn’t mind one bit and walked around the house to do his own things, from changing to brushing his teeth, Kei was beside him.
Only when Noah opened the curtains to let the sun shine into the living room, did Kei finally lift his face out of Noah’s chest to look up at him.
Kei: “Good morning.”
Noah: “Yes, good morning, Kei. Are you awake now?”
Kei: “I think I’ll be motivated to wake up if you give me a kiss.”
Noah chuckled.
Noah: “Can’t be helped.”
Noah was about to lean in closer to Kei, their lips almost touching until the sound of the door unlocked.
Noah: (Sigh…)
Upon the door opening, Juliet bursted in only to witness the two of them about to kiss.
Juliet: “Do that in the bedroom fucking losers.”
After saying her part, she promptly invited herself into the kitchen to raid the fridge with no shame at all.
Kei: “Juliet!? What brings you here?”
Kei seemed fully awake now and the kiss did not happen, which disappointed Noah the most.
Noah sighed again only louder so that Juliet would hear not that she would care.
Noah: “She has a key to this place. My fathers gave one to her.”
Yet no one would have expected that she would suddenly show up one day on a weekend first thing in the morning.
Juliet: “I’m hungry! Make me something!”
Kei finally let go of Noah but Noah felt so empty once Kei left that he was close to pulling him back into an embrace before stopping himself.
Kei: “You’re staying for breakfast, Juliet? That’s great, Noah’s cooking is super delicious! Let me go change.”
Kei left, leaving Juliet with Noah.
Reluctantly, now that Juliet was there, he went into the kitchen and started cooking eggs.
Juliet removed herself from the kitchen and sat at the table, turning on the tv as if it was her home.
Juliet: “Hoh? So you cook for him everyday but can’t be bothered to cook for yourself normally?”
Noah: “Kei’s special.”
While they were eating breakfast, Kei was checking his phone when he suddenly received a phone call from his mother, his face changing into a variety of expressions.
When the call ended, Juliet and Noah turned to look at him.
Kei: “My mom plans on getting married. She wants to have a wedding soon.”
While it was joyous news, Noah had to work so it was mostly Kei helping his mothers out with the wedding planning.
Kei understood that Noah was busy but he still felt slightly dejected for not being able to help despite wanting to.
If he was able to contribute, it would lighten the work for Kei and his mothers even just a little bit, yet he was helpless.
Today as well he couldn’t stay to help Kei and could only worry until he had to leave for work, standing at the front door.
Noah: “Be sure to eat your meals and take breaks. Rest when you need to. I’ll see you soon.”
Kei: “Of course that goes for you too!”
Kei laughed.
Noah: “?”
Kei: “It’s like we’re married.”
Noah: “Let’s get married”
Kei: “Right now!?”
Noah: “No?”
Kei: “I’m not saying no! But maybe later on…”
Noah naturally didn’t mean right away but he was quite serious, even Kei could tell but he too knew it wasn’t the right time.
As Noah was heading out, Kei leaned in close to kiss him as their lips parted, he signed:
Kei: “First we should buy rings!”
If Noah was a dog, Kei could visibly see his ears perk up and tail wagging out of pure happiness before he was suddenly hugged tightly.
Noah didn’t want to leave.
Kei: “I should be home when you come back. It’s been nice being the one to welcome you home first!”
Noah: “I’ll be home as early as I can.”
Kei: “What? Don’t overwork yourself, okay?”
Noah for once thought very seriously.
Noah: (I’ll ask if I could bring some plants with me and do work at home. That way I'd never have to leave Kei.)
Soon the day of the wedding arrived. Kei’s mothers were dressed so beautifully they were breathtaking. Naturally Kei and Noah wore the finest of suits.
Everyone’s friends and even their mothers were here at this wedding. This included but was not limited to Noah’s side of the family and Juliet’s.
Once the wedding vows were said, the bouquet that was carefully designed by Noah was thrown into the air.
Kei didn’t even bother trying to catch it once he was aware Juliet was going to be his competition.
Juliet ruthlessly pushed everyone out of the way and even went as far as shoving some people to successfully catch it.
Juliet: “I’m too good!!! I caught it!”
While some people were slightly injured, the married couple seemed amused and even happy for Juliet.
The rest of the day was hectic but nevertheless it was a wonderfully enjoyable experience and soon night fell.
It was an outdoor wedding so for the final event there was a showcase of endless fireworks.
The beautiful sight wasn’t the main focus of most of the people at the wedding for they were far too drunk and busy partying.
However, Kei and Noah were sitting under the tree taking in the view.
Kei: “Wow, so pretty…”
Noah: (Yeah, they sure are.)
Noah: “You’re prettier.”
Kei: “?!”
Kei seemed a bit flustered before leaning against Noah’s shoulder.
Kei: “Y’know this kinda reminds me of that festival we went to. Though I guess they weren’t the best memories for us…haha.”
Noah: “I thought this at that time too but you’re lovely.”
Kei: “I think you’re lovely too.”
They kissed once more.
Noah: “Even when I’m like this, please continue to stay with me.”
Kei: “I’d stay by your side even if you didn’t ask me to! You better not regret it cuz I’m never leaving!”
Noah: “I don’t think that will ever be a problem.”
After the wedding was over, Noah and Kei went home and were now in the same bed chilling, silently but comfortably.
Kei was still up due to the extra adrenaline from the after party and the few drinks he had. Noah was still up because Kei was.
He laid upright as Kei’s body leaned against him, while he was playing a dating game. Occasionally asking Noah’s opinion on what options to best pick.
At some point, Kei fell asleep but it was only for a little before he abruptly woke up again.
Kei: “Maybe cuz I was playing a dating game but I dreamed of being in one! And you won’t believe what happened!”
Noah leaned in closer to Kei, seeing his messy hair was all the more adorable as he listened to his boyfriend’s ramblings.
Kei: “You were one of the datable characters! I don’t know why but I was struggling so hard to get your route! It was like the world was against me!”
Noah: “So how did it go? Did you win my heart?”
Kei: “I woke up cuz I didn’t. I actually got a bad ending.”
Kei seemed dejected by this, defeated even though he had the real Noah right beside him.
Kei was actually a pretty decent gamer. Compared to Noah, he was basically a pro. It was hard to believe that even in a game-like dream, he struggled.
Noah: “You’re already on my route. In fact, you’ve unlocked it long ago.”
Noah: (You’ve won my heart before I even realized it.)
Kei: “I would hope so at least now as your boyfriend and all!”
Noah: “Soon to be husband.”
Kei: “That too…”
Noah: “Then there shouldn’t be a problem if you try in your dream again.”
Kei: “That’s the thing! This might come off as a bit shocking but I'm actually not that good at dating games!”
