It’s finally hit the 2 week mark of the first day of school and things have been great, more than great actually.
It was break and viktor and Jayce were sitting in the bleachers near the football field
Viktor: “jayce?”
Jayce looked up from fidgeting his clothes “Hm? What’s up?”
Viktor: “You’re that captain of the robotics club, correct?”
Jayce nodded and continued playing with the loose thread of his blouse
Viktor: “well, I was thinking of joining.”
Jayce perked his head up “Really? Uh- that’s great! Do you want me to show you how it’s like in there?”
Viktor: “Uh- sure, of course. Do I have to do some kind of like test to enter or anything?”
Jayce: “no, no, no. It’s okay, I’m the captain, remember?” Jayce stood up and gestured for viktor to follow him, out of no where mel came up to Jayce, she glanced back and fourth at Jayce and viktor
Mel: “Jayce? Where are you two off to?”
Jayce: “i am taking viktor to see the robotics club quarter.”
Mel: “ah, I see..is he thinking of joining?”
Jayce glanced at viktor then back at Mel “yeah, actually. Do you want to join us?”
Mel: “oh. no, no. I have to fix my hair. See you two later”
Jayce nods and walks with viktor down the bleachers
Jayce: “so.”
Viktor: “so?”
Jayce: “nevermind, follow me.”
After a little while of Jayce guiding viktor around the academy they finally reached the robotics club quarters. It had double doors that were much taller than viktor and Jayce by a long shot.
Jayce reached into his pocket and pulled out a long key, he then slipped it in the key hole and the door unlocked.
Jayce: “here it is. So, how do you like it?”
Viktor stepped in, there was multiple tables. The room had a large projector and screen and multiple whiteboards.
Viktor strolled around the room, grazing his fingertips across the tables that were either empty or had unfinished projects.
Viktor: “it’s very impressive.”
Jayce: “yeah? Well, just so you know, you kind of have to get used to doing frustrating or either fun projects along with your school work. It’s a love hate relationship, really.”
Viktor: “I’ll be alright, I wanna join.”
Jayce: “alright, I’ll talk to the teachers about it and hopefully they’ll be of the same mind.”
Viktor: “hopefully?”
Jayce: “well, most likely they’ll say yes.”
Viktor nodded, a few silent moments later he glanced down at his watch
Viktor: “lunch is ending soon.”
Jayce: “let’s head to our lockers then”
Viktor exited the quarters and jayce locked up the room. He put his key back in his pocket and looked around for viktor to see him a few meters infront of him, he catched up to where viktor was. Viktor looked over at jayce and spoke,
Viktor: “I have biology with you next, right?”
Jayce nodded
Viktor: “Great, i studied last night.”
Jayce’s eyes widend “studied? Is there a test?”
Viktor: “nope” Jayce calmed down slightly
Viktor: “i just studied just incase.”
Jayce nodded, after 2 or so minutes they reached their destination
After grabbing some of their needed books they were interrupted with a red headed women.
Vi: “do any one of you have biology?”
Jayce nodded
Vi: “who?!”
Jayce: “both of us.”
Vi sighed in relief “thank god, last time I was in biology alone, my grade was probably 1/30”
Jayce: “maybe because you’re genuinely stupid without copying a persons answers”
Vi scoffs “excuse you, I’m-“
The bell rang
Vi flinches “goddamn… I hate that fucking bell.”

Biology
Vi entered the class first with viktor and Jayce following right behind her
Vi: “Ekko! Since when where you in biology today?”
Ekko nearly flinched at the loud sound “uhh- since the schedule was given.”
Vi rolled her eyes and sat down on the other side with viktor next to her and Jayce and ekko beside eachother.
As more students started entering the class got louder and louder until it was interrupted by the professor.
Professor: “silence!” If it was spoken any louder it would’ve probably busted vi and viktors eardrums or probably anyone in a 7 ft radius.
Professor: “thank you. We will be learning about ecosystems and perhaps evolution if we have time…partner up in groups of 4 and read the google slide i have created about it, after that you will answer the follow up questions on the slide and write the answers in your notebook”
After the teacher spoke, people moved around the class and got into whatever group they please
Ekko: “did anyone bring a device?”
Jayce reached down to his bag and pulled out his laptop, he scrolls through all his different apps
Jayce: “Fortnite…cod…ah, here we go!”
Jayce pressed the little google slides icon and got met with a presentation.
Jayce: “who wants to read it?”
Ekko: “not me.”
Jayce: “Uhm..vi?”
Vi groaned and began reading the first paragraph of the slide “an ecosystem is a community of organis- this is so boring.. we already know what an ecosystem is since like primary school, are they serious?”
Jayce: “just read it Vi” after a long paid of silence, jayce spoke once again “viktor, wanna read it instead?”
Viktor nodded and looked at the screen “an ecosystem is a community of organisms..”

After school
Vi and caitlyn were walking down the school steps hand in hand intertwined when caitlyn broke the peaceful silence.
Caitlyn: “Vi?”
Vi: “what’s up, cupcake?”
Caitlyn: “where’s powder?”
Vi: “ehhh…she went home early for god knows why, probably skipping.”
Caitlyn: “are you ever going to tell her off?”
Vi: “nope”
Caitlyn: “you’re her sist- you’re insufferable.”
Vi: “Awh thanks cupca- look it’s mel”
Caitlyn looked in the direction Vi pointed
Caitlyn: “why is she walking alone?”
Vi shrugs and skips her way over to mel
Vi: “boo”
Mel flinched, almost dropping her phone along with her drink
Vi: “Woah, sorry. What’s up with you?”
Mel looked almost offended “excuse me?”
Caitlyn: “what Vi meant was, why are you walking alone?”
Mel: “can’t I walk alone without being questioned?” She smiled “If you’re asking about jayce, we had a fight..again, after school.”
Vi: “oh. What happened?”
Mel: “the usual”
Vi: “ah, so those random fights you guys have.”
Mel: “yeah…it’s- we’ve been together for almost a year..these fights only started regularly since 2 or so months ago, it’s reoccurring but it just pops out of no where”
Caitlyn placed her hand on Mel’s shoulder “don’t worry, I’m sure jayce loves you and neither you or him likes these arguements. Why not you two take a break for a bit, well..you can do whatever you want, but just some advice.”
Mel: “thanks, I totally agree. Do you want to-“
Ambessa : “mel?” Ambessa spoke in a deep voice, she was one of the martial arts teachers in the academy and she was probably the female embodiment of the word ‘terrifying’
Mel: “mother! Uh- what are you doing?”
Ambessa: “I might ask the same for you? You should be waiting inside the car already. School ended over 35 minutes ago, how long have you girls been talking for?”
Caitlyn: “not too long..”
Ambessa: “right…thank you, Kiramman. Come on, mel.”
Mel smiled once last time at Vi and caitlyn “see you tomorrow” and soon strolled off, following behind her mother
Vi and caitlyn watched the scene then soon turned around to their destination
Vi: “think it’s vik-?”
Caitlyn: “Don’t be ridiculous, Violet. Plus, it’s been what? A few weeks since he’s been here? Why would it be his fault?”
Vi: “then is it jayce, cupcake?”
Caitlyn: “i am not gonna pick sides”
Vi hummed
