Chapter Text
There are different things Zara wishes to be done with, one is the constant nagging feeling of eyes on her. It’s just her paranoia that makes her feel like she has someone watching her constantly. Second, the feeling of wanting to throw herself off a fucking building.
It had been years since she heard from Vera and her call has put an annoying downer on her and her routine. She is currently in the middle of a lecture but her mind is filled with Vera’s voice. She should be worried about things Vera said but she doesn’t care all that much about that, the only thing on her mind being Vera Vera and fucking Vera.
Her story, at least with Vera, started when she was in college. Fresh out of high school, on the way to find her path, Zara was all but giddy to get out there and enjoy. High school wasn’t all that bad, she had kept to herself mostly. She did have a couple of friends that made high school much more memorable, Benny and Bella being 2 of them. But we will get to them later. She met Vera at her college dorms. It was just the first week she was getting used to the place quickly, never had any issues with homesickness.
“Hey, I was wondering if you know where the laundromat is?” First words Vera spoke to her. The words that will haunt her dreams for years to come.
“Yeah, do you want me to take you there?” All Vera did was nod.
They walked without exchanging any other words between them and Zara pointed towards the hallway to the left “Go straight from here and take the first right, you will have to wait for others to finish, it is usually crowded at this hour”
Vera nodded again, weird is all Zara thought about that. With nothing else left to say Zara started to walk away and suddenly felt Vera grab her sweatshirt to stop her from leaving. Zara looked at her confused and saw Vera with tears in her eyes.
“Can you keep a secret?” Vera asked with her voice trembling slightly.
If anything Zara should have known how everything else will turnout after that one encounter. One thing everyone should know about Zara is that she loves girls and that if anyone looked at her with tears in her eyes she would move the world for them let alone do what she was about to.
It was Zara’s turn to nod.
“I am Vera and I think i killed someone”
