What an eerie place, what kind of feelings made this SEKAI look so.. sad? The forest seemed like an endless maze. It was quite dark in the forest, there are no animal in the forest too. The quiet atmosphere was almost scary, yet also comforting.
They followed Miku for what seemed to be hours, or even more than hours. They didn't complain though. Miku seemed to be an expert at the SEKAI, she knew where everything was. If it were a normal person they would probably forget where they started, or how to go back. Mafuyu and Tsukasa looked around as Miku toured them. All of a sudden, Miku stopped her tracks. The two stopped with her, one of them was about to asked what was wrong until..
"We're here!" Miku said, her tone sounded as if she was excited to show them. Mafuyu and Tsukasa looked at it, they just looked at it with no change in expression. They were staring at what seemed to be an old fountain, a bit of the fountain was covered in moss. The water looked somewhat very clean for an old fountain. Only one question remained, what's so special about an old fountain?
Miku stepped further to the fountain and sat on it. Tsukasa and Mafuyu followed Miku, they looked to their side. They were at a garden, and of course, it was abandoned. The whole purpose of this SEKAI is because it's abandoned, after all. They were still a bit confused to why Miku would show them such a place. Tsukasa got the courage to ask Miku, "why did you bring us here?" He asked.
"Well, it's because I wanted to give you a tour, was I not clear from the beginning?" Miku clarified, a neutral expression etched on her face. A light shade of pink began to appear on Tsukasa's cheeks, it was purely because of embarrassment. But besides the whole tour thing, what was the purpose of bringing them to this old fountain? Mafuyu kept quiet as the conversation between the virtual singer and the "star" continued.
"The purpose of bringing you two here.. was because I thought it would be cool." Miku answered. Really, that's all? Just because it was cool? Tsukasa and Mafuyu made a small expression, "Don't give me that look, I just thought fountains were fascinating." The virtual singer said, both of them weren't really impressed. "Anyway, from what I know about this place is that once you find your true feelings this fountain right here will start to glow." The purple haired girl and blonde haired boy were both intrigued by this new information. They wondered how it would look like, would it be magical, or disappointing? Hopefully magical, wouldn't want to find your true feelings only to earn nothing in return.
Aside from that, there were other things the two were thinking of. Like, how would other parts of the SEKAI look once they find their true feelings? And the question they always ask themselves, what even are their true feelings? Miku was still sitting on the edge of the fountain, Mafuyu and Tsukasa were still standing next to each other. The two weren't really sure of what to do. Miku noticed their uncertainty, she decided to give them some advice. "Why don't you two explore the garden? It might help you two understand the SEKAI and your feelings." Right, they didn't think about that. Mafuyu looked to her side, she immediately decided to explore the garden, eventually Tsukasa did the same. They both went different directions, Tsukasa took the left, Mafuyu took the right. And Miku.. well, she just sat there.
Mafuyu walked around, trying to find something that can help her understand the purpose of the SEKAI and her feelings. She looked at the plants, they were all decaying, or already dead. The flowers were dried up, a few petals were on the ground. Everything looked so gloomy, also empty. But the SEKAI wasn't really empty, it's just that.. the objects felt empty, you know that feeling when you look at something and something's missing? It's kind of like that. That feeling of looking at something and it feels so empty.. it's hard to explain, but it just feels so weird. Mafuyu ignored the things she was thinking of right now and focused on exploring the garden. She kept stepping on the petals, but that didn't matter. She had one goal in mind anyway.
Upon exploring, Mafuyu found a music sheet stuck on a bush, she took it and looked at it, she had no idea what it was for. The paper suddenly flew out of her hand, her eyes widened and decided to follow it. There were tree leaves blocking her way, she moved them out of her sight and saw the sheet of paper on a rock. Mafuyu quickly picked it up. She stood up properly and saw something. It looked quite interesting, it was one of those gazebos. Mafuyu was more interested in the gazebo now. She hopped on rocks to make her way there. The girl made it to the gazebo, and of course.. the gazebo wouldn't in the abandoned SEKAI if it weren't abandoned. This place would be really nice to be alone in, or have a nice pinic.
At the garden.
Tsukasa and Miku were still at the garden, Miku doing nothing but sit on the fountain, and Tsukasa still trying to find clues to what his feelings could be. So far, Tsukasa couldn't really find any clues, there were dead flowers and plants everywhere, but he didn't know why. Tsukasa was kneeling down, still looking at the plants, the blonde groaned. He couldn't find anything, he stood up and thought to check the other side, the side Mafuyu was supposed to be exploring at. Miku watched as the star went to the other side of the garden, Mafuyu wasn't there. Tsukasa was surprised, and a bit worried as to where and what happened to Mafuyu.
"Where's Asahina-san?" Tsukasa looked at Miku, asking where Mafuyu could be. "I have no idea." Miku replied. Rather than focusing on finding a clue, Tsukasa was focused on finding Mafuyu. The star had bit of a trouble finding her, Miku was helping him a bit. The blonde suddenly noticed something, tree leaves were blocking something, some sort of path.
"Did you find something?" Miku said so suddenly, Tsukasa flinched with the sudden appearance, he didn't expect Miku to talk. Back to the task at hand, "Yeah.. I did." Tsukasa answered Miku's question from earlier, the blonde pushed the leaves away. Tsukasa was stunned by the view, Miku really wasn't, she's seen it millions of times. There really wasn't there to be shocked about, it really just was an abandoned gazebo. The virtual singer hopped on the rocks, Tsukasa followed. They made their way to the gazebo, Mafuyu was there staring at nothing, she looked bored. "You're here, we were looking for you." Miku said." "Oh." Is what the purple haired girl replied. Tsukasa looked around the gazebo, his eyes landed on the table, their were two dolls. He picked one of them up, the two looked at the doll as Tsukasa picked it up. His face was astonished, it looked quite like him, only difference was it was wearing a jester-like outfit.
Mafuyu looked at the other doll, with curiosity Mafuyu picked it up. Observing the details of the doll, the doll looked like her too, it also looked like a marionette. The girl was surprised to see such a similarity, Miku sat on one of the chairs as she watched them look at the dolls. "What's the purpose of these dolls?" Mafuyu asked the virtual singer. "I've seen them before, but I also had no idea what they meant." Miku responded. That's not really helpful at all, Tsukasa continued to look at the doll, he yawned. Realization kicked in, what time is it? His troupe has to discuss about their next show tomorrow, he even has school tomorrow too. Mafuyu has school too, she can still wake up early despite sleeping late, but she still needs rest.
