Chapter Text
You wake up the next morning feeling better rested than ever. You and Loki are still holding each other close. You realize you were sleeping on Loki’s chest during the night, waking up to the sight of Loki with a book open in his hands, reading.
“Are you comfortable over there?” He asks you, giving you a sly grin, peeking out from behind his book.
“You know, yeah, I am very content here and intend on keeping it that way for as long as I like.” You say, burrowing your face in his chest.
“I see you’re as bossy as ever.” He says, amusedly turning back to his book.
“Well, some things have to stay the same.” You say. Loki chuckles at that.
“Tell me one thing that has changed about me,” Loki says. “I’m still handsome, smart, and absolutely fabulous.” He says playfully causing you to laugh full-heartedly into his chest.
“Well, some things definitely never change.” He chuckles. “But still, for some weird reason, you managed to get taller!” You say, tickling him in his armpits.
“HEY!!” He laughs, tucking his arms closer to his chest, leaving the book tossed on the other end of the bed, as a futile attempt at stopping your attack.
“Stop growing!” You whine.
“Maybe it’s not that I grew, maybe you shrunk.” He counters, his book all but forgotten on the bed. You glare at him, staring knives back at him.
“I didn’t shrink.” You say. Loki is getting ready to counter before you cut him off. “And you better shut up right now, I know all your weak tickle spots.” You say, wiggling your fingers menacingly.
Loki puts up his hands in fake defeat. “I surrender, don’t tickle me!” He chuckles.
You get up to find a book you’re interested in as Loki goes to retrieve his and go back to Loki to continue using him as a pillow. You two stay like that for a while, you reading on his chest, him reading his book, caressing your hair subconsciously.
Before you know it, the door is basically thrown open, causing you and Loki to both snap your books close and jump off the bed as if it were second nature.
“Good morning brother!” Thor booms. He stops mid-step at seeing you here with him and the covers in disarray. “Oh, and good morning to you too, y/n!” He smiles at you. “I hope I wasn’t interrupting anything.” He gives Loki a cheeky grin. You start to blush at what Thor is suggesting, Loki on the other hand looks furious.
“You actually were interrupting something, me and y/n were enjoying our morning reading together.”
“Oh!” Thor says, holding back a chuckle. “Well, in that case, forgive me for the interruption, I have come to tell you that breakfast is ready and y/n should get ready to retrieve your belongings.” Thor smiles as he leaves, closing the door behind him.
You and Loki look at each other and can’t help but laugh. Loki neatly steps out of the bed meanwhile you lazily roll out, giving a yelp when you reach the end of the bed causing you to fall down. Loki laughs, offering you his hand.
“Oh shut up.” You say, whacking his arm slightly when he doesn’t stop laughing. He finally starts to quiet down somewhat.
You summon a set of clothes for yourself, a pair of long, black, sweatpants and a matching black long-sleeve shirt. You also summon a jumper seaming as it’s raining like there’s no tomorrow outside.
You change into Loki’s bathroom, using the opportunity to take a shower. Once changed, you head out and meet Loki in the bedroom. He has a pair of black jeans on with a green shirt.
“Ready?” He asks you.
“Yup,” You say, popping the ‘p’. You grab the book you were reading and head out of the room with Loki.
You find everyone in the kitchen either enjoying breakfast or just lounging about, making conversation with the others.
“Hey guys, had a nice night?” Tony smirks at you and Loki. You both furrow your brows when you look at him. “JARVIS told me.”
“We didn’t do anything.” You say.
“I know I just wanted to see the way you would react.” He snickers, turning back to the conversation he had with Bruce.
“Welp.” You say shrugging. “Not weird at all.”
Loki goes to make himself a toast meanwhile you prepare yourself a glass of milk and a tea for Loki.
“Thanks,” Loki says when you hand him his beverage. You nod sipping on your milk.
“Don’t you want some breakfast?” Natasha asks you.
“She doesn’t like eating breakfast, it gives her a stomach ache,” Loki says, reading the book you brought down with you.
The team goes silent and stares at you two. You look up at them, furrowing your brows in confusion.
“What?” You ask.
“Do you two know each other from somewhere?” Clint asks.
Your eyebrows shoot up. “Oh, yeah.”
“How?” Steve asks.
“I have a past off earth.” You say, shrugging.
“Wait, what?!” Tony exclaims. “You’re an alien!?”
“Well, yes if you have to put it like that.” You roll your eyes. “To me you guys are aliens, so some respect would be appreciated.”
“Since when are you living in Midgard?” Thor asks.
“For about two years now.” You answer, taking another sip of milk.
“Wow, we’re surrounded by aliens and we don’t even know about it,” Bruce says genuinely surprised.
“Yeah, I know, right!” You say, cheerfully.
“So where are you from in space, like what planet,” Natasha asks.
Your smile fades as memories of the sanctuary and your father come up to the front of your mind. Before you can get too lost in your thoughts though, a hand reaches out, touching your shoulder, pulling you back to reality.
“Are you okay?” Loki asks. You smile back at him and nod.
“Yeah, I was raised on a ship so there isn’t a planet.” You say. Natasha nods and accepts your answer.
“So, when do you feel like leaving for your stuff?” Tony asks.
You quickly finish your cup of milk before answering. “Whenever you’re ready.” You say, wiping your mouth. You put your cup away and go back to sit next to Loki.
In the end, the rest of the Avengers decide to come with you and Tony to grab your things, being too curious about what your apartment looked like.
It takes about 1 hour to get to your apartment and the rain isn’t relenting on its force. You pull out the key to the apartment and walk up to floor 7 house 3. You open the door to a clean but cold and grey place. You enter the living room which is directly in front of you. It connects to a hallway that has three rooms, one of them is a cupboard directly at the end, another a bathroom to the right, and the last one to the left-hand side is a bedroom. The kitchen is to the right of the entrance door.
“Huh,” Clint says. His shoulders shag a bit. “I was kind of expecting something else.”
You sigh, “Sorry to disappoint.” You say stepping inside. You hear something being knocked over from another room causing you to furrow your brows.
“Do you live with someone?” Tony asks you.
“Umm…” The noises get slightly louder. You start walking towards the noise. “Give me a second, wait here.” You say entering the bedroom.
You walk into the room only to find Spencer in the middle of the room, arms crossed.
“Well hello!” Spencer says with false kindness. “What a coincidence to meet you here!”
You roll your eyes in response. “You’re in my apartment, what do you want?” You cross your arms.
“Wow, you’ve gotten bold!” He says walking to the door and closing it behind you.
“Probably because of the way you guys treat me, now what do you want?” You say, getting frustrated.
“I’ve come here to remind you of your place, you slut.” He says, whispering into your ear.
“Oh, my god!” You say stepping away from his close proximity. “I mean come on! You’re proof evolution is bullshit!”
“What?” He asks, dumbfounded.
“Let me simplify that for you.” You give him a look at him like you were explaining something to a three-year-old. “You are as useful as an expired coupon.” You finish.
He gives you a face of disbelief, eyes wide and mouth agape. “How do you dare to speak to me like that?!”
“Get out of my fucking house.” You say surprised that he didn’t get the point yet.
When he doesn’t make a move, still surprised at your boldness, you go up to him and pull him by the shirt out of the room getting the Avengers's attention. “You are the cumbubble in a fucktrumpet that portrays from dickcheese, you shitlicker.” You say, tossing him to the floor.
“What’s your problem?!” He asks you angrily.
Your head is about to explode with rage. Did he just forget the fact that he made your life a living hell since the moment you started your life on earth? “Oh man, shut up you anorexic, malnourished, tapeworm-overdosed, Dick Gregory behind, diet-drinking ass! Leave me alone!” You shout at him. “And get out of my apartment 'cause there’s a fuckload more of this dickweed in my bag of shit for twatwaffles like you and the pissflap of friends you have.” Spencer has stood up from where he was on the floor and is staring at you like he didn’t realize who you were until now, which he probably hasn’t. “Now for the old English people in here, goeth and fucketh thyself.” You say, gesturing to the door of your apartment.
Spencer quickly makes his way out of the door and away to god knows where. You look around the room to see the pale gaping faces of everyone around you. They have formed a semicircle around you.
“What?” You ask them as they continue to just stare at you. “He was a bully, that’s the only language they understand.” You say giving them a nonchalant shrug.
Loki is the first to break the silence with his laughter soon followed by Tony. Everyone joins in, everyone except Steve who still has a horrified face as if someone killed a puppy in front of him in the most gruesome way possible.
“Oh god,” Tony says, wiping his eyes. “Sorry Cap, seems like your one chance at an innocent soul has been crushed in the cruelest of ways.”
“Just pack your stuff, y/n.” He says, rubbing his eyes, letting out a stifled chuckle.
“Hey, I heard that laugh!” Clint says, laughing at the way Steve was trying not to laugh.
You leave to collect a bag of belongings for yourself, Loki joining you to help look through your things.
A few minutes later the rest of the Avengers helped pack the things you said you needed, and not long after you had finished. It didn’t take long considering you didn’t have much with real value to you, barely managing to pack one whole duffle bag.
You guys are making your way down to the car when you realize you forgot to pack something.
“Hey guys,” You say to get their attention. “I forgot to pack something, you guys can head down to the car, it’ll only take a minute.” You say, heading back inside.
What are you looking for? Venom asks.
“The shirt Loki gave me, and you know, the mouthpiece and cuffs.” You are gesturing to your mouth as you say that.
Why do you still keep that?
“I don’t know, probably for the memories.” You say sarcastically.
I was asking you a serious question, why do you keep them?
“I don’t know venom.” You say exasperated. You open your closet and ruffle through the clothes and gadgets inside it. You pull out a white plastic bag and check the content of it. You see the broken, old shirt, and the cuffs and mouthpiece inside. You then quickly collect all the rest of the gadgets you forgot to pack and leave the apartment, hopefully for good. There wasn’t anything else in there that didn’t come with the flat, so you wouldn’t have to come back to throw away anything.
You meet the team down in front of the complex, get into one of the back seats next to Loki and leave to go back to the tower.
