Chapter Text

Finney sat in Robin’s room awkwardly, Bruce and Vance were in the same room of course Robin hiding in the bathroom or in his sisters room, it didn't matter if it was between him and Vance. Bruce stared at the wall of Magazines clearly irritated waiting on either Vance or Finney to talk. Either it was the awkward silence or the fact Vance had to apologize and if Bruce knew one thing about his boyfriend, is that he hated apologies.

“If one of you do not talk I swear on-” Bruce was cut off by Vance.

“I’m sorry.” Vance muttered almost in a whisper, Bruce rolled his eyes, that was a shitty apology, hell Vance couldn’t even say sorry to his own brother. “I never saw eye to eye with you, and I thought you were some type of murderer.” He admitted not to be funny as he always had that thought, well private thought that he shared with Robin. “Hopefully we can move past this so Bruce will come over again.” Vance bluntly said.

Before Bruce had the words to yell at Vance Finney nodded, “it’s fine..” he wanted to smile but didn’t Vance was only apologetic because Bruce asked him to apologize. Vance didn’t think it on his own. “But if you’re only saying this apology so Bruce will talk with you again then I won’t accept it.” He bluntly said back, “you didn’t take the chance to get to know me, you assumed I was something I wasn’t even through the heavy time I came in bruised and you thought I’d kill Robin.” Finney stood off the bed, the pillow he tossed to the side off his lap. “For the record I was abused, I came looking for help I was in pain. Yeah I’ve made my mistakes cheated on my ex fist fight a few people but I’m more than those mistakes and you assuming is one thing but making it known is another.”

Bruce watched Vance as he looked irritated and Bruce knew where this was headed, but Finney was right, Vance was wrong for his actions assuming the worst out of Finney.

“So please Vance I don’t want to hear it.” He spoke kinder, more thoughtful than how he felt. He felt like Gwen came out of him; she was always more confrontational.

Vance stood, Bruce grew more nervous. He took a deep breath, “understood. Let’s just be civil?” Finney nodded and so did Vance as he walked out going to the front door saying hi to everyone like nothing just happened. Bruce looked at Finney and the now Robin that came out of the bathroom.

Robin sat on the bed next to him, “did we miss a few chapters?” Bruce nodded as Robin slung his arm around Finney’s shoulder.

“It was a kiss with his best friend. It was the heat of the moment and it wasn't like it was on purpose. It was one time.” Finney admitted sighing, he somewhat missed his sister. He missed her so much she always knew what to do and it made him feel so much better even when he was supposed to be the oldest it always felt like she was sometimes. “Matty was a horrible person and I believed since he listened to me and cared for me I stayed and I shouldn’t.” He looked at both Bruce and Robin.

Robin nodded rubbing his back he still kept his boundaries with Finney not wanting to push him further away. Bruce sighed as his heard Vance honk the horn.

“Come to school tomorrow please.” Bruce begged Robin and Robin nodded. Finney had convinced him to enjoy his teenage life and not skip out on it just for him when something could change it at any moment or any time soon. Bruce waved bye going through Robin’s bedroom door saying hi and bye to everyone and getting in the car.

Billy sat in Griffin’s room, “you still ignoring Vance?” He asked, sitting on the bed that Griffin had so painfully plain. Griffin shrugged looking back at his phone, Griffin wasn’t much of a talker but he said a few words, even now all the male out sessions and heated debates with their friendship/relationship. Billy didn’t know what to call them. They made out they didn’t go any further than that though Griffin has tried a few times. It’s like they were just friends who made out they didn’t go out on dates nor do anything romantic.

Griffin looked at him, “wanna make out?” He looked at Billy; Billy shook his head, turning around on the bed comfortably, closing his eyes not wanting to have any romantic interaction with him at the moment. “I’ll be back, Gina is calling me again.” Billy nodded, Gina was his project partner for this class Griffin took so he could graduate with his full credits Gina was a sophomore so clearly Billy had no interest or intention of overthinking when Griffin wasn’t like that he was too kept to himself.

Billy blinked slowly, his breathing became steady as he fell asleep snoring softly, he was exhausted from drama club too much work for him he only had a few lines as well.

Gwen and Buzz were at his house, she had met his fiancée. She was a kind soul as she was a lot kinder than Buzz as he had a sarcastic sense of humor. Gwen sat on the couch rereading the note Finney had left trying to see if he left any clue about where he was. Granted he could’ve just been traveling for a while and not know where he ended up, but something told Gwen he could’ve ended up anywhere near their hometown, but that could be a lost cause and waste of money if they ended up going only to find a dead end.

“So Gwen, what do you do for work?” Jasmine asked, sitting a tray of cookies in front of her, baby Finn in the other arm.

“I’m still in college, so I just do part time jobs.” Gwen nodded, stuffing the note in her pocket, she needed to keep it safe and out of any way if she wanted to find her brother again. Jasmine nodded, sitting in the armchair. “What about you is anything interesting involving work?” Gwen asked with a smile.

Jasmine shook her head, “I’m still looking as we need a babysitter for most of the jobs so I’ve just been staying home.” Gwen nodded at that, pretty obvious as Jasmine seems to be bored of her life as of right now she probably needs a friend. “Any luck on your brother?” She asked, rubbing Finn’s back.

Gwen shrugged, which was true. She didn’t know it was all a blur from time to time; she had no idea where he could be.

“Buzz said you found a note. Can I see it?” Jasmine held out her hand waiting for the okay. Gwen handed her the note that she had no luck making sense out of it.

Jasmine read a few words looking at the lines and the letters, “Where did you two grow up?” She looked at Gwen.

“I think Delaware, I try to forget..” Gwen muttered, “I tried everything but I doubt he went back there.”

Jasmine shrugged, “needs an escape and from what I remember in high school your mother died there, old house could be where he’s at.” She gave her back the note standing, it wasn’t a long drive but it sure as hell was a long walk and it wasn’t a surprise if Finney didn’t have a car he sure as hell walked.

Gwen stood, “can I steal Buzz?” She asked, moving hastily. She needed to go now she wasn’t looking for a yes she would go alone for all she cared she just knew Buzz would probably come I mean Finney is also his friend too.

“Sure gives me space to clean.” She stood giving her the note with a soft smile. It made Gwen much better.
