Chapter Text
She wakes up. She didn’t need sleep, no. Monsters don’t need sleep, and she was a monster after all. But she liked sleep. Sleep was nice. But not this time, no. She had had dreams before, but nothing like this.
The Memory
Dahlia watched, helpless to do anything as Jakey shielded her behind him.
Acklay…
She thought Acklay was their friend. But she was wrong.
Acklay got up and left, trying to get the others to leave with her. To leave Celtic.
Jakey had refused of course, family was family, no matter how dysfunctional it may seem. Celtic was not only family Jakey had chosen but was blood. And that mattered to him.
“Leave? What the hell are you on about, Acklay?! Celtic is my cousin, my friend, my brother. Though it makes sense you’d have no loyalty to your family. Birds kick their young out of their nest after all.”
Acklay stayed calm, Acklay was always calm.
“It’s not about my loyalty, Jakey, it’s about my safety. Staying around Celtic will end lives. I have duties to fulfill, so do you. You should leave while you still can Jakey.”
“Well if you know so much about the future, why don’t you stay and help! Celtic isn’t dangerous, he’d never hurt any of us!”
Acklay sighs.
“Goodbye Jakey, Goodbye Dahlia. I wish you well. Maybe we’ll meet again someday.”
And with that, the Elytrian left.
