Jhoanna woke up in the middle of the night since she was freezing from the dawn air again.
Naka aircon pa sila.
She shivered in her sleep and was about to turn when she felt an arm wrapping around her waist.
She stilled at the contact and then felt two legs rubbing against hers while the blanket was being fixed by her shoulders.
“Jho?” Came Colet’s drowsy voice.
“Mm sorry did I wake you? Ginaw kasi.” Jhoanna answered, glancing at the girl.
Colet still had her eyes closed and merely shook her head as she burrowed her face in Jhoanna’s neck. “Izokay…tulog na ulit tayo.”
Jhoanna giggled softly. Ang sa kanya lang, muhkang maganda yung kama kasi ang sarap ng tulog ni Colet.
She sighef happily as she closed her eyes and turned so she could face the girl.
Why did Colet look so good? Haay. Smiling, she pecked the sleeping girl’s cheek before hugging her close and found herself feeling the comfort of her warmth. Needless to say she had a really good sleep that night.
The following morning, Jhoanna found herself first to wake.
Lingkis na lingkis pa din si Colet sa kanya akala ata tatakas siya.
She quietly got up from the bed, making sure that she didn’t wake the still sleeping woman.
Napatingin siya kay Colet. Sobrang himbing ng tulog. She gave the girl a soft kiss on the forehead.
Grinning, Jhoanna quickly grabbed the blanket and placed it around Colet making sure the girl was still asleep.
Then she padded her way to the kitchen, making herself a cup of coffee.
The cold air was still evident, wisps left from the dawn that had passed.
Jhoanna brushed her hair to the side as she nurses her coffee while walking to the balcony of their unit.
It was a steal since not all units had that good of a view of the park across the building.
The ghost of a smile crawled up her lips as she smiled at the view. She could see a family playing with their kid.
She tensed when she felt arms wrapping around her from behind.
But she knew that feeling.
“Good morning.” She heard Colet’s husky voice and felt the girl kissing her bare shoulder.
“Mm. Good morning.” She glanced at the girl before offering her coffee.
Agad naman ito kinuha ni Colet at uminom.
Mahinang natawa si Jhoanna. Alam kasi niya na hindi naman aayaw si Colet sa kape.
Sumiksik silang dalawa sa maliit na couch doon sa balcony, nakakandong lang din naman si Jhoanna kay Colet.
They basked in the morning glow, comfortable in their silence together.
Siniksik ni Jhoanna ang muhka sa leeg ni Colet bago siya bumulong; “Kakainis ka.”
Colet turned her head slightly at that, the ghost of a smile evident on her lips. “Bakit?” She chuckled, fixing a strand of Jhoanna’s hair.
Mas lalo pa sumiksik si Jhoanna na para bang nahihiya.
“Alam mo ba matagal na kita crush. Shit parang college pa lang tayo noon.” She murmured against Colet’s skin.
Colet chuckled as she smirked and repeatedly peppered Jhoanna’s face with kisses. “First day ng college tamang tama na ako sa’yo Jho.”
Jhoanna lifted her head at that. “Ha? Paano?”
It was Colet’s to hide her face on Jhoanna’s neck.
Jhoanna grinned. Ang cute eh.
“Huy paano ngaaa.” Jhoanna teased, nuzzling her face against Colet’s cheek.
Groaning, Colet started recounting. “Hmm naalala mo yung pinahiram mo ako ballpen kasi nakalimutan ko pala pencil case ko sa sobrang kaba?”
Jhoanna recounted that. Yeah they were asked by the professor to write their names on the piece of yellowpad being passed around.
“Noon talaga?” She grinned. Edi una pala siya naging crush ni Colet?
“O wag na mayabang.” Colet teased back as she pinched Jhoanna’s waist.
“Aray! Alam mo ikaw ang hilig mo mangpisil muhka ba ako stress ball?”
“Iba naman pinipisil ko kagabi—mppf” Jhoanna quickly slapped a hand over Colet’s mouth.
“Shh! Tuloy mo talaga matatamaan ka sa akin.” Jhoanna rolled her eyes causing Colet to grin yet again.
The day went by lazily for them. Jhoanna had just finished washing the dishes after lunch. After, she entered the entertainment room where Colet was already playing.
Mahinang natawa si Jhoanna habang humihiga sa sofa kung saan nakasandal naman si Colet na nakaupo sa sahig.
“Tsk.” Colet groaned when she died from the game again.
Bago pa makalagaw si Jhoanna ay ayan na nga at dalawang beses siyang pinisil ni Colet sa braso.
Imbis na mainis ay mas natawa na lang siya.
“Kada pisil mo talaga nako.” Jhoanna chuckled as she fixed her position and rested her head next to Colet’s. “Wow level 25 na siya eh o. Huwag ka masyado magbabad dyan ah. Nagiimbita si Staks mamayang gabi.”
“No prob babe para bawas stress din makapagparty.”
“Hindi pa ba bawas sa pagpisil mo sa akin?”
“HAHAHA!” Colet laughed. Comedian din talaga si Jhoanna.

“O ano sabi ko o diba ano sabi ko.”
“Shee inumin mo na nga lang yan.” Jhoanna said, rolling her eyes at her friend.
They were at a small bar just enjoying each other’s company.
Syempre hindi nagpatinag si Stacey.
“Nako Shee, tagal ko na kasi yan sinabi dyan kay Jhoanna ewan ko ba dyan.” She said as she sipped from her drink.
Sheena smirked as she looked at Jhoanna and Colet. “Mga atecco ang dami pa upuan?”
Paano ba naman kasi nakakandong si Jhoanna kay Colet na relax na relax lang din naman sa inuupuan.
“Ikaw nagpush nito.” Colet smirked, brushing her cheek by Jhoanna’s arm.
That got Jhoanna’s attention though. They hadn’t talked about it but she had an inkling.
“May sinabi ka dito no?” Jhoanna asked Sheena as she wrapped an arm around Colet’s shoulder.
Sheena looked at Colet as if asking for help but the latter merely shrugged her shoulders.
With that, Sheena sighed. Looks like it was up to her to tell the story.
“Deh sinabi ko lang dyan kay Ate Colet na kapag di siya gumalaw galaw, kako madami ka manliligaw sa office.”
“Shee!” Well…it was true so Jhoanna couldn’t really deny it.
Colet chuckled. “I was actually planning to just go with it. Alam niyo ba gaano ako nagtiis. Lalo na nung naging mag room mate na kami.”
Stacey shook a finger at them as if proving her point. “Ayan. Ayan na nga sinasabi ko. Alam niyo yung feeling kasi na mag-asawa na kayo. Kasi iisa lang kayo ng bubong na inuuwian ganon.”
“Iisa nga lang din kama eh.” Sheena pointed out as well.
Sheena and Stacey continued discussing things as if Jhoanna and Colet weren’t there.
Napatingin naman ang dalawa sa isa’t isa.
Habang nagdidiskusyon si Sheena at Stacey ay sila naman may sarili din na mundo.
“I really enjoyed the feeling din. Yung uuwi ka tapos ipagluluto kita o minsan ikaw.” Jhoanna said, smiling at Colet.
Halata naman na kinilig ang huli sa sinabi niya dahil namula ang muhka nito.
“Alam ba na kilig na kilig ako nung binili natin yung kama?” Colet smiled. “Hindi ko na talaga natiis eh.” She leaned forward, giving Jhoanna a soft peck.
“HOY KINGINA NAMAN. GUARD PAKIPALABAS.” Stacey said in objection upon seeing the two.
“Kayo tong push ng push.” Jhoanna laughed at their friends.
“Te doon lang kayo sa apartment niyo maglandian harap harapan talaga dito sa amin?” Sheena pointed out, holding on to her temple as if she was experiencing a headache.
“What if malaman niyo pala na magpinsan kayo no?” Pagbibiro ni Stacey.
“Ay hindi pwede. Papakasalan ko na ‘to.” Colet said, hugging Jhoanna, kissing the girl’s shoulder.
“Ayoko na tatawagin ko na talaga yung guard.” Sabi ni Stacey na akmang tatayo.
That night, Stacey and Sheena decided to crash at the Jholet apartment (Sheena’s words).
Colet would’ve wanted that she and Jhoanna rest for the night. Then again, the two guests were already sleepy so they wouldn’t be that tired.
Colet was the one who fixed the futon on the living room floor where Sheena and Stacey would be sleeping.
She’d also readied the blankets and the pillows.
“O baka lamigin kayo.”
“Bakit pwede naman kami ni Sheena ang magkayakapan ah akala niyo kayo lang ni Jho?” Stacey teased but gave Colet a hug nonetheless.
“Utang na labas tulog na tayo.” Sheena said as she was already crawling to the futon, wrapping the blanket around her.
“Ayan sige inom pa.” Jhoanna teased. But her motherly instinct for the girl was evident as she fixed the blanket around Sheena while Stacey grabbed a pitcher from inside the fridge and poured herself a glass of water.
“Babe, shower lang ako lagkit na sa feeling eh.” Colet said, kissing Jhoanna’s cheek before she disappeared to their room.
That left Stacey and Jhoanna to themselves.
Sheena was already in deep slumber so she was out of the question.
Stacey threw Jhoanna a mischievous smile and this made the latter roll her eyes.
“Ano nanaman?”
“Wala gaga naiiyak ako kasi ang saya ko para sayo.” Kunwari pa nagpunas ng luha si Stacey na ikinatawa naman ni Jhoanna.
They may always bicker and tease each other but Jhoanna knew Stacey would always be there for her. Ika nga nito; siya ang best friend at hindi si Colet kasi nga…si Colet asawa niya.
“Staks ang saya ko. Kasi nung magkasama lang naman kami dito okay na sa akin. Pero iba pala yung…lamoyun?”
“Gaga ka hindi wala ako jowa hayup ka pano ko malamaman.”
Jhoanna stiffled a giggle as to not wake Sheena up.
She sighed dreamily. “Basta Staks kasi…maalaga naman na talaga si Colet sa akin kahit dati pa pero ngayon iba syempre.”
“Mas free kasi. Tanga ka te alam mo ba na tagal na namin napapansin na pigil na pigil yan si Colet? Sobrang touchy kaya niyan pero parang nagpipigil haha! Kaya siguro ka biglang dinaan sa pisil eh.”
Jhoanna opened her mouth to answer when she heard their bedroom door open.
“Babe? Tulog na tayo?” Came Colet’s soft voice followed by her head popping to peek at them.
“Ay paka clingy naman. Wala kay Jhoanna yung unan niyo Colet! Mauna ka na!” Staku said.
“Matulog ka na din alak lang yan.” Colet teased back.
Jhoanna sighed as she gave Stacey a somewhat apologetic look.
“Fine fine inaantok na din ako. Good night! And please lang pala kung may gagawin kayong dalawa hinaan niyo baka marinig ko.”
“Baliw.” Jhoanna said, shaking her head.
She watched as Stacey placed herself beside a knockout Sheena on the futon.
Nagwash up muna siya sa banyo bago muling bumalik sa kwarto.
Colet was already lying down on the bed and was simply waiting for her expectantly.
“Tulog na tayo please?” Colet asked her.
“Clingy.” Jhoanna chuckled. “Pwede ka naman mauna matulog kanina.” She said as she got under the covers as well.
Colet wrapped an arm around Jhoanna’s waist. “Eh. Di ako makatulog kapag di ka katabi.”
“OA?”
“Totoo nga.”
Jhoanna chuckled as she squeezed Colet’s arm three times.
“Aray ah!”
A laugh escaped Jhoanna as she shushed the girl. “Odiba masakit?”
Colet pouted at her. “Yung sa’yo babe tatlong beses eh.”
“Eh kasi…”
Colet looked on, waiting for Jhoanna to finish what she was saying. “Kasi?”
“Meaning nun…I love you.”
Colet stilled as she looked at Jhoanna’s grinning expression.
Ang init ng muhka niya!
“Yii kilig siya eh.” Nang-aasar na sabi ni Jhoanna. “Hahaha babe ang pula ng face mo.”
Colet breathed in before pushing her lips against Jhoanna’s in a firm but languid kiss. That surprised the latter, evident on how she had stilled.
But Jhoanna sighed as she moved her lips with Colet’s, cradling the girl’s head.
Sighing, Colet pulled slightly, a smile on her lips. “I love you too Jho.” Totoo naman. College pa lang sila. Then she rolled them around on the bed so she was on top as she, for lack of a better word, attacked Jhoanna’s lips, pinching the girl’s waist three times like she did a while ago.
“Mmm.” Jhoanna let out a soft moan at the contact.
“HOY SABI KO SA INYO NARIRINIG KO KAYO JUSKO MY EARS.”
Jhoanna chuckled softly as Colet groaned upon hearing Stacey’s voice from outside.
“Ang ingay mo kasi babe.” Colet chuckled as she fixed their position, cradling Jhoanna against her.
Laughing, Jhoanna kissed Colet’s chest. “Wala naman na yan bukas sila Staks. I’m yours all day.”
Well that got Colet excited as heck.
