Chapter 4: The Sweetest Bet

Summary:

Prologue: Kirari Momobami’s Wish

Kirari Momobami had always been driven by risk, by the game, by the thrill of controlling everything around her.

But for the first time, she wanted something completely different.

She wanted a baby with Sayaka.

And, of course, it had to be a memorable proposal.

The problem?

How could she tell Sayaka without making her completely panic?

Chapter Text

Chapter 1: The Talk with Ririka

As always, when she needed advice, Kirari went to Ririka.

She walked into her sister’s art studio and dramatically flopped onto the couch with a sigh.

Ririka, busy painting, didn’t even bother to look at her.

— What is it now?

Kirari smiled softly.

— I want a baby.

Ririka nearly dropped her paintbrush.

— Wait… WHAT?!

Kirari sat up straight, elegantly crossing her legs.

— I want to have a baby with Sayaka.

Ririka was completely shocked.

— You? Want to be a mother?

Kirari tilted her head.

— Yes. Sayaka and I have been married for two years. I want a family with her.

Ririka blinked a few times, trying to process the information.

— Okay… and how do you plan to tell Sayaka without making her pass out?

Kirari chuckled.

— I haven’t decided yet. But it has to be something special.

Ririka sighed.

— Kirari, this isn’t a game.

Kirari looked at her sister and smiled softly.

— Not this time.

And for the first time, Ririka realized Kirari was truly serious.

Chapter 2: The Surprise Dinner

That night, Kirari prepared a special dinner for Sayaka.

Candles lit, fine wine, a meal crafted to perfection (by a professional chef, of course).

When Sayaka walked into the house and saw everything set up, she immediately grew suspicious.

— What are you up to this time?

Kirari smiled and pulled her to the table.

— Tonight, I just want to enjoy a lovely evening with my wife.

Sayaka blushed but took a seat.

They ate peacefully, talking about their day.

But at the end of the meal, Sayaka noticed something unusual.

There was a small golden box next to her plate.

— Kirari… what is this?

Kirari smiled.

— Just open it.

Sayaka hesitantly picked up the box.

Inside, she found a tiny crystal baby shoe.

Time stopped.

Sayaka froze completely.

— W-Wait… W-What?!

Kirari gently took her hand.

— Sayaka, I want to build a family with you.

Sayaka could barely breathe.

— A-A baby?!

Kirari laughed.

— Yes, my dear Sayaka.

Sayaka started to panic.

— But… what if I’m not a good mother?! What if we don’t know what we’re doing?! What if—

Kirari cupped her face tenderly.

— Hey. Look at me.

Sayaka lifted her eyes, still nervous.

Kirari smiled gently.

— You are the most responsible, caring, and loyal person I’ve ever met. I couldn’t choose a better mother for our child.

Sayaka’s eyes welled with tears.

— You really want this?

Kirari kissed her forehead.

— More than anything in the world.

Sayaka finally smiled.

— Then let’s do it.

And for the first time that night, Kirari felt her heart explode with happiness.

Chapter 3: The Start of a New Bet

In the following months, Kirari and Sayaka began their journey to have a child.

They went to medical consultations, researched options, discussed names.

And with each step, Kirari realized this was the most important bet of her life.

But for the first time…

She didn’t want to win alone.

She wanted Sayaka to win by her side.

And when they finally held the positive pregnancy test in their hands…

Kirari smiled, wrapping her arms around her wife.

— Welcome to our biggest game yet, Sayaka.

Sayaka laughed, holding her tightly.

— This time, I think I’ve bet everything on you.

Kirari kissed her softly.

— And that was the best move we’ve ever made.

And just like that, Kirari Momobami finally found something greater than any game.

She found her family.
