Chapter Text
Naruto was immediately woken up by the fact that Sasuke was in his apartment and also now knew about his animal parts. Naruto flew up, bringing his hands up placatingly in an attempt to remedy the situation before it got out of hand. Naruto could feel his breath getting out of control. The one person who he had a crush on– who he didn't want to hate him has seen him like this. He knows and he's going to tell everyone and he's going to hate him. He could feel the familiar burning of tears in his eyes. He couldn’t control his breathing or his tears and he knew he was having a panic attack and he also knew he didn't want to have one in front of Sasuke.
Before he could blink, fat tears were rolling down scarred cheeks. He rushed towards Sasuke and dropped down. Willing to beg on his knees just for him not to tell everyone and not to hate him. Babbling out apologies and pleas, begging him not to tell. He couldn’t breathe and the tears were clouding his vision but when he felt a hand on top of his head, he sobbed harder. Wishing he wouldn't hurt him and wishing he wouldn’t hate him.
And apparently it worked. Sasuke dropped to his knees beside Naruto. One hand still in his hair and the other one making its way around Naruto's waist in a hug. Naruto sobbed harder, having never had been comforted when he was crying before he didn't really know what to do. He just snaked his arms around Sasuke, shoved his teary face into the crook of Sasuke's neck, and gripped his shirt as hard as he could.
“It’s okay Naruto, you’re fine. Calm down it's okay” Sasuke whispered softly into Naruto's hair. Naruto just pulled him closer to himself.
“I-im so sorry Sasuke, please. Please don't hate me, please don't tell everyone. Im s-sorry,, p-please” Naruto said through laboured breaths and sobs. With his face in Sasuke's neck he wasn't able to see the adoring look on the older boy's face.
“It's okay Naruto, I promise. I don't mind, If anything I like them. I won't tell anyone if you don't want me to don't worry. And you definitely don't have to worry about me hating you dobe, it’s actually kinda cute.” Sasuke said reassuringly, petting the blonds head and scratching softly behind the fox ears that fluttered softly. Seemingly the comforting words worked, as Naruto's breaths started slowing and the sniffles were few and further apart.
“R-really? y-you won't tell em? You l-like em? Think they're cute? Th-that's what I said when I got em I-i just don't want you to hate me.” Naruto said, pulling back a little and looking at Sasuke with his big teary eyes and pouty face. Sasuke looked back reassuringly with a small smile.
“Yeah dobe I like them, and I-i,” Sasuke started before blushing and looking away, pulling Naruto back into his chest, “I like you dobe.” He said reluctantly. Naruto gaped softly, he never imagined his own crush would ever like him back. He pulled back again to look into Sasuke's flushed face.
“R-really? Yo-you like me? Like actually you're not pranking’ me or anythin right?” Naruto asked with an awestruck look on his face.
Sasuke sighed, “No Naruto, it's not a prank I really do like you” Sasuke saw Naruto's tear stained face contort into one of the biggest smiles he's ever seen from the boy, before he was being tackled by a blob of orange.
“Good. Cause i like ya too ya know S’uke” Sasuke's eyes widened from where he was under the blond. He never imagined that Naruto would like him back. Sasuke's own face warped into a wide grin before he hugged the boy back as strong as he could.
“Good,” He said with a happy lilt, “You didn't come to training today, is this why? Kakashi wanted me to check on you.”
“Yeah i've just had kinda a rough week so after i got all these new parts i just wanted to lay in bed all day. Speaking of, you should stay s’uke. I wanna take a nap and you're a great pillow.” Naruto responded; his voice already slightly slurring with sleep. Sasuke sighed fondly before responding.
“I don't think sensei would mind that much.. I guess I'll stay, but we need to actually get inside the bed naru”. That answer had Naruto shooting up and rushing to the bed as fast as his tired body could. Earning a laugh from Sasuke as he stood up as well.
Sasuke stripped himself of his kunai and shuriken pouches, taking the next moment to go through Naruto's dresser to find clothes that fit him. Landing on a shirt slightly too big for Naruto and a similar pair of shorts. He undressed where he stood, getting redressed just as quickly before turning around. Spotting Naruto's flushed face that could rival the shade of the tomatoes he ate that morning. Naruto quickly looked away, clearing his throat.
He crawled into the bed next to Naruto. Making himself comfortable before beckoning the other boy closer. He watched as Naruto shimmied closer until blond tufts of hair rested on his chest, and lanky legs twisted with his. He spotted the tails behind Naruto and smiled. Bringing his hand up to touch them. Naruto tensed for a second before melting into Sasuke contentedly. Sasuke noticed the reaction and brought his other hand up to Naruto's hair, petting and softly scratching behind the cute ears that popped out of the blond hair. Sasuke didn’t know Naruto could relax even further until he did. And suddenly, there was a noise. A rumbling noise and apparently it was coming from the cute blond boy on top of him.
“You can purr!?!?” Sasuke said incredulously, not stopping his movements.
“I g-guess so,” Naruto said through fits of giggles.
BONUS
Kakashi walked through the door to Naruto's apartment (after picking the lock but we won't talk about that) worried at the fact that Sasuke never came back when he sent him to Narutos earlier and also worried at the fact that Naruto never came either. Thought of what could have happened clouded his mind. Is he sick and Sasuke's helping him? Is he injured? At the hospital? Was he kidnapped? He pushed past the curtain separating his bedroom from the rest of the apartment, and was immediately soothed.
His cute genin asleep, cuddling together in bed. How cute, his heart couldn't take this amount of cuteness from the two boys. And then he spotted them, the tails, the ears, all of it. He had to hold back a squeal from how cute the scene was. He slowly pulled up his headband to reveal his sharingan. The tomoes swirling, capturing the heartwarming memory.
He walked out of the bedroom, out of the apartment (remembering to lock the door), not even mad at the fact neither boy had trained today. As he was walking home he thought about what the boys were. Just friends who happened to cuddle or if it was something more. Kakashi knew his students so he definitely knew it was something more. Sakura was going to hate that, but she would get over it. He would have to give Sasuke the shovel talk, y'know. Tell him no one will find his body if he hurts Kakashi's little brother.
