It's been weeks, well it almost felt like a year since everything has happened. The community centered around finding the song began to grow more organized and grew bigger, there were many people dedicated to finding it.
"Hey, did we ever get a response Makiko-chan?" Ayaka questioned, they did contact that band, SIDEROS a while back ago, Makiko took off her headphones and looked at Ayaka. Before this, Makiko was editing for some of the OhTube videos she would upload.
"Oh yeah, I haven't checked. Did you check?" Makiko responded, acting as clueless as usual, she's always been like this
"No...I- why else would I ask you that?" Ayaka responded in a pretty usual annoyed way, she's used to this but she still gets annoyed. She's annoyed every single time. "Well, you know what? Let's just check it out haha- I'm just about done with my editing anyway- haha..." Makiko immediately whimpered at the annoyed tone of Ayaka, it's a routine. Makiko gets clueless about something. Ayaka gets a little annoyed and Makiko scratches the back of her head, a dumb smile on her face and she does the work.
Ayaka nodded and Makiko was immediately done with the editing and they went on to check their emails, seeing if they got any from Sideros and...
Turns out they got an email from Sideros!
"Hello! Thank you for emailing us! The Sideros will be performing in Shimokitazawa this March 25! Just two days away! Purchase the concert ticket here of only 8,800 yens to be able to see Sideros perform out here!"
"Who are the SIDEROS? SIDEROS is a metal rock band featured in the Mikakunin Riot Festival Competition with our main base of operations in FOLT in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Led by Yoyoko Ohtuski and her band members!"
Ayaka and Makiko looked at each other at least three more times before facepalming. Getting pretty irritated by this as all they managed to talk to is some corporate intern.
"Well...I guess we'll have to buy a ticket then." Ayaka said as Makiko shrugged. "You go alone, my legs are tired."
"What??? It's in two days, you can get plenty of rest!"
"I see the future, my legs are tired."
"You're coming with me!"
"Woah- woah- hey! Hey!-"
Two Days Later
Ayaka and Makiko were sitting at the livehouse where the SIDEROS were gonna perform as they were eating food.
"You think we'll be able to ask them questions?" Makiko said as she chewed down the food before picking up the can of soda and sipping on it.
"Hopefully so..." Ayaka said, who was already sipping on cola as an old blonde girl came across them with a big smile on her face. "Are you guys enjoying your food?"
"Yeah..we're enjoying our food, very tasty!" Makiko replied as Ayaka nodded, the smile grew brighter on the blonde girl's face. "Well, we're glad to hear that! Make sure to leave us a good review!" The blonde girl said and it looked like she was gonna leave, turning around before Ayaka asked a question.
"Hey, uh. Do you think we'll ask the SIDEROS band? After the concert?"
The Blonde girl looked back at them and nodded in response. "I'll be sure to tell them." The Blonde girl said before leaving.
"Thank you!" Ayaka said as she turned away from the blonde girl to Makiko. "Wow she's nice, customer service here is really good."
"Yeah. I suppose so." They continued eating.
The concert started later on and Makiko and Ayako were there in the crowd, half-uninterested as the band started performing, Yoyoko Ohtuski out in the flash. There are a lot of people here who came to see them perform so they might have to wait in line.
Right after the end of the concert, Ayaka and Makiko waited for their opportunity to ask the band about the mysterious lostwave song they had. And it's taking quite some time before they finally get the opportunity.
"Oh hey! Miss Ohtuski! Nice to meet you!"
Makiko said as she shook Yoyoko's hand, a grin showing on her face. She's incredibly happy. "Hello! Are you one of my...thousands of Isosta fans?"
"Well uh-"
"Thank you for showing up when you did! Now I heard about-" and here she is, going off on yapping. Makiko and Ayaka couldn't find themselves giving a fuck about what Yoyoko was yapping about but they were more concerned about getting the answer to their mysterious lostwave song and they wanted to answer the question.
"---Anyways, I heard you were gonna ask me a question...what is it?"
Ayaka and Makiko's eyes finally lit up as Makiko looked at Ayaka and they both nodded at eachother as Makiko pulled up a phone and shoved it to Yoyoko's face who looked incredibly confused as Makiko went on to ask the question they have been waiting to ask all along.
"Did you and your band play this song???" Makiko answered as they played the song on and Yoyoko just...looked really confused as she listened to it. This might be it. They might have found their band, although their songs were not exactly like the song that was played. They were hoping that it was them and that they could finally end the mystery.
Yoyoko turned towards the two of them, a confused look on her face as she went off to point at the phone and then answered. "...What is that?"
"Oh...we were just hoping that this is your song. Is it?" Makiko answered as Yoyoko's face turned from confused into a sort of...disgusted face? Something she can't make it out to be?
"I.. don't think my band could make a song this bad, you should see my new song that I just released! It's way superior-"
Okay, so this is definitely not the band that made the song, we got the confirmation. We might as well tell the internet.
After a couple more yapfest and such, Makiko and Ayaka waved Yoyoko goodbye as she told them to come to the next concert to which they likely wouldn't and Makiko and Ayaka left.
"So we did all of that...just to get nothing?" Makiko asked Ayaka, obviously annoyed.
"Well it is what it is." Ayaka said as the two walked back home.
